A Bad Boy Secret Baby Romance

I never told him about the baby…
How did it come to this? Me, pregnant with his child?

Duncan tore through my life like a tornado through Kansas. A reckless bad boy, he set his eyes on me and never took them off.

His hot lips stole my mind, his possessive hands stole my body, and his azure eyes stole my soul.

He took me, made me his, and he never, ever stopped.

Then I got pregnant.

My father wanted to take my baby away, raise it as his own. So I had to run! It was the only way.

But I know Duncan is coming for me. I know he wants his family back.

*

She was off-limits. I got her pregnant.
The moment I saw Dee, I knew I had to have her as my own. I fell into her endless eyes, and her touch ignited my molten obsession.

The way she felt, the way she smelled, the way she tasted… she was always my burning need.

We were meant to be a family, but she disappeared.

She never told me she was carrying our baby. I found out, anyway.

I know her father is after her, wants to take her child... our child.

I’m not letting my family go. I’ll make her mine again, and I'll protect our baby.

This honestly felt like the longest book ever. There was way too much story with very little plot here... It dragged on forever! I was so determined to finish it even though it seemed like nothing was really happening or advancing for a while.

The ending was lackluster. The characters were whatever. All together I just got a very meh vibe from this story unfortunately.

I loved the hell out of this book. The H was to die for HOT. He was OTT possessive, obsessive, protective, and a TOTAL alpha male. The H was utterly devoted to the h and I loved him. I've been reading romance and erotic books for years so I am pretty familiar with reading sex scenes. However, this book had the hottest sex scenes I've read in a long time. This author writes incredible heroes. She is a true talent and an auto-buy for me.

Dee and Duncan share a forbidden love. Dee's father, head of the mafia would kill Duncan if he knew. Duncan was adopted and trained to be the son Dee's father would never have and the fighter who would make him millions. When Dee finds out she is pregnant, everything changes and she runs. She knows Duncan will be hurt by her actions but in order to keep him alive she will do anything she can to protect him and the child she is carrying. Duncan though has other plans and they all include having Dee by his side.

This was interesting, although I read a ton of books had almost too much sex for me in it. Overall concept was good, I think I will reread again as I had just finished a book that was an instant favorite so expectations on this one was incredibly high.

It was a good story. I liked Duncan and Dee even though it was a new adult romance. But it was just so slow. It took forever to read it.

To my surprise, this was a really really good book. This is a 1st time author for me, and I really enjoyed her work. I wasn't into the step brother fad that has been happening lately in the book world, so I really didn't think this was going to be a book I was going to like, but I couldn't put it down!
This is a Mafia book, or so it says....but I didn't find it was to much about that really. It also has a touch of MMA. This is a step brother romance but the H isn't really a step brother, he's just brought into the "family" by the Mob Boss father to make money as a fighter. The H and h have a secret love affair. This is a good romance book with some awesome hot sex!
I will be definitely reading more from this series!

While the concept of this book was ok I was board really quick when it flipped back to the past. I ended up skipping a lot of the book and just catching up here and there. I finished the book but skipped about half of it because it really dragged and didn't feel I missed anything by skipping ahead

Its good

The book is good except that I hated Dee. All the way until the last page. She is completely self consumed. While Duncan is selfless never a good combination.

Dee is 18 when her father brings home Duncan. He was a teenager without a home when Dee's father, Glass, found him. Glass adopted Duncan and trained him up as the fighter that he had wanted to be.
Duncan and Dee met briefly when Dee was 15 and he was 17. Since then Duncan has known he will do anything to get close to her again. So he knows Glass is using him, but he lets him because Glass is his way to Dee.

Now Glass wants to steal Dee's baby, and control him the way he cannot control Duncan. Dee may have run but Duncan grew up on his own and now he isn't letting anyone take his family from him.

I really liked both Duncan and Dee. Duncan isn't just a stupid fighter and Dee isn't just a spoiled rich kid. They both have a lot of heart. The story starts a few months before the present, and then goes back several years to when Dee was 15 and first met Duncan. From there it follows Duncan finishing training to come live with Dee and Glass, and his underground MMA career, and then ends up back in the present. The story is told from both Dee and Duncan's view points, though most of it, especially at the beginning is from Dee's. I like how the author started with a look at who they are now, and then sort of weaved backwards to see how they got to be adopted siblings who never really knew each other until they were adults. Though the time span of the book was really a few years the way its told in the present and then almost like a flashback makes it really fly and yet still feel like you really get to know Duncan and Dee. It was nice to see them as a real couple, albeit secret, who shared their lives and dreams, not just their beds. It also let you see just how awful Glass was, so you could get a feel of what Dee is up against in trying to protect her baby.

Like I said I really liked both Dee and Duncan and the book was very well written so I really cared what happened to them. It was a bit of romance, a bit of sex, a bit of violence and a little dramatic tension. Overall, there was lots of feels good and bad, and it was definitely worth the ride. I haven't read anything else by Emilia Kincade but I will definitely look at her other stuff now.

Deidre Morino is daughter to mob boss Glass Morino and has not ever had a chance just to be a regular person or do regular everyday things because her father thought that it wouldn't be safe so she mostly stayed at home or went where her father and their body guard Frank allowed for her father was a fighter who when younger could have been at the top of his game but he started breaking bones and kept him from his dream now he is looking for someone he can train into a fighter in comes Duncan Malone a orphan living in a foster home where he has to deal with bullies and trying to stay in school when he really didn't find school interesting he was being picked on but he never let anyone bullied him ever, he was sixteen years old now and very capable of taking care of himself but was not interested in being a dope peddler or a thief when he left the home. He saw a big limo pull up as he took a knife away from the bully and his boys and Glass got out and offered Duncan a better life and told him he would adopt him he sent him to Thailand where he studied fighting for several years the first time he met his adopted sister Deidre was when her and her father came to the jungles of Thailand and when they met each other that was the beginning of their relationship that would be secret and special to the both of them when Duncan finally comes home three years later she is about to graduate from high school and go to college Duncan is totally smitten with her and her with him and he stands up against her father for her as no one not even Frank has ever done. Their relationship has to be kept secret because they both know that her father would kill Duncan in a minute so they keep it to themselves and Duncan begins his MMA career as a fighter and he is in top condition he just needs to have the woman he loves with him at every fight she agrees and he tells Glass that he wants her there and he doesn't except no for an answer. Duncan and Dee get careless at a party for the Mob bosses one night which changes everything in both their lives forever. This is Untamed a beautiful love story of two young people who just wanted to be love but found it with each other. I received a copy for an honest review.

The author does it again with this story, she writes an amazing book that keeps you hooked from the beginning. You'll be on your toes with this one and you'll want to see how it ends.

Deidre lives a life she never wanted to be part of, she hates the mafia life but she has no choice but to go wherever her father tells her. She wants out of this life but she doesn't have anywhere else to go nor can she escape her father. When she meets Duncan, she can't help but feel a connection with him. Years later when she sees him, she can't help the feelings that come forth and want to be with him. She decides to keep her relationship a secret and doesn't let anyone find out until the day her father finds something in the trash can. Now she is on the run from her father and she leaves Duncan behind to protect him, only she wishes Duncan was with her. When Duncan shows up where she is, she couldn't help but keep him with her. They will do whatever they can knowing that her father will find them.

Duncan had a hard life and grew up in group homes, he knows what it is like having nothing so when he meets Glass he decides to accept his offer. He never expected that Glass had a daughter and when he saw her for the first time, he knew that was the woman for him. Years later when he sees Dee he can't help but show her how he feels about her. He does everything he can for Dee and doesn't let her know what he is doing so that he can make sure that she will say yes. When Dee leaves him, he is hurt and crushed but that opens up his eyes when he finds out the reason why. He will stop at nothing to find Dee and be there for her, after all it is his baby. He will stop at nothing to protect his family, even if it means killing Glass.

This book will have you on your toes but you will also get to learn a lot about the characters. I love the instant connection that they have with each other. Can their love stay strong when every thing else seems to fail? Will they be able to escape her father? Your questions will be answered when you are done reading the book :)

Great job to the author on another amazing book.

This was such an excellent story that it is difficult to put into words how much I thoroughly enjoyed reading it – it just totally blew me away completely. It tells the story of the relationship between Johnny “Glass” Marino, his daughter Dee, and his adopted son Duncan. Glass, the head of a crime family, wants to be recognised as the man who discovered Duncan, who groomed him into the fighter he is today and who tamed a feral street boy, or thought he had. Dee is Glass’ daughter, who cannot remember the last time her father said a kind word to her and meant it. She used to think it was cool being a mobster’s daughter, but it only erected walls between her and everybody else – she had no friends and, until Duncan came into her life, no lovers. When Dee discovers she is having a baby her life comes crashing down around her and she has no alternative but to flee, changing her identity in the process. Duncan wants a future with Dee, but he needs a few more fights under his belt, and cannot understand why Dee has run away and left him. So he is more than surprised when Glass confronts him and enquires if he is the father of Dee’s baby. Duncan is beside himself – he doesn’t know where Dee has gone and calls on his fans to help him locate her. Dee and the baby need him and he will find her, but he has to get to her before Glass does; if he doesn’t Glass will destroy any chance of happiness they might have. What an absolute exquisite story this was, and I would certainly have no hesitation in recommending it. I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I received this for a honest review. The author did an amazing job.

Some people that looked at Deidre Marino probably thought she had it made. Her father was Johnny Marino who was a mobbster. He was a very feared man. I am not certain her father even knew how to be a father. Deidre had to put up with people looking at her in fear because of her father. She hated it with a passion.

I felt sorry for Deidre. She was not this spoiled rich girl that craved power. She was a compassionate person. She hated what her father did for a living. She hated the fear that she saw in peoples eyes because of her father. She hated the pain that her father caused.

Duncan who is later know as Duncan Creature Malone was adopted by Johnny Marino. Duncan had a hard life. He was a child that was in the system and over looked. He was uneducated and had to learn to defend himself to survive. This was were he learned to fight.

Johnny Marino thought he had a gold mine when he saw Duncan. Johnny did not hesitate to put Duncan in unground fighting. Johnny was cold and I believed had not clue about family or how to love. Johnny thought about one thing and that was himself. He craved power and thrived off the fear of people. He was a very curl man and wanted a son that he could live his dream through.

Things will get hot and heavy between Duncan and Deidre. Not only will they have a secret relationship they will have a secret baby as well. They will find themselves and the life of their baby in danger. Will Duncan be able to protect his family?

In the long run I liked the idea of the story and the plot. I also liked that Duncan never looked or thought about another girl. I hate stories where a boy messes around or thinks about it to try and prove something. However there was so much I hated.

1. The length. It was soooooooo long. Had I known it was so long I probably wouldn't have started the book. I absolutely hate long books and this book was 650 pages.
2. I was bored the first 10% of the book. I really hate giving up on books before I give it a good go of at least 10-15%. Once I got past it though the middle of the book was good.
3. Content. I found myself skipping a lot of pages. It was just unnecessary filler to make the book longer. I probably skipped a good 20% of the book and never lost a beat when skipping pages.
4. Again I was bored the last 15% or more of the book. At this point it came down to the book being so long and I was ready for the story to end but still had over 100 pages to read. Again I almost gave up, but kept going since I had come so far.
5. The ending was just blah. And I would have liked a little more.
6. The actual book itself only goes to 60% and then the last 40% is a whole other book.

I probably won't be reading the other two books in this series. This one just didn't get my attention enough to spend time on two other books.

I received an ARC of this book for an honest review. First off, let me say that I love Emilia Kincaide's books. They all in some way focus on the underground MMA world. This story starts out with Duncan, a boy with no family just trying to survive in a group home scenario. He is found by accident by Johnny Marino, a mobster as well as a has been fighter. Johnny thinks he can tame this boy and he thinks he can own him, but Duncan has other plans. Plans that include Johnny's daughter, Deidre, from the very first time he sees her as a boy of 18 and she was just a girl of almost 16. Deidre is a beacon in his mind from that moment on. It is if all the two of them can do is hold on for the ride as their fate plays out. From the underground world of MMA cage fighting to trying to escape a mobsters reach they are all the other thinks of. It all finally comes to a head and they both have to fight to hold onto what they want most, which is each other. I love the way Dee and Duncan grew together and the way they strengthened each other. They eventually find their HEA, but the twists along the way are what makes the ride worthwhile. I highly recommend this book and love the way the author finds to weave her other characters into the story as well.

Amazingly written. We got underground MMA, cocky fighter in training, mafia, mob boss's daughter and a tabooish romance, and a prick of a father wrapped up in one full length novel. Deidre only had her father and his bodyguard since she remembered, but that father sees her as a mistake and treats her like trash, only using her as he sees fit. Glass, her father, always wanted a son and a son is what he will have when she was 15, he adopted a street kid/ orphan that he fined fighting another kid and took him in and sent him to Thailand to train with a monk. Dee got to meet this kid on her father's business travel and she felt that he was something to her. Duncan sees Dee is instantly starstruck and he thinks about her all the time he is a way from her, even back in the states. What these two young lovers will go through for years will be unbelievable and heart achingly to bear. Even when so special news comes about and her dad will be even more hard pressed to get what he always wanted. Dee's journey will take her almost around the world to find safety from then mafia and her dad.

Emilia Kincade has done it again. This book kept you reading just to see what was going to happen between a mob bosses daughter and as her father calls his adopted son a street rat.

Duncan was removed from his bad life as a teenager and adopted by a mafia boss. He was trained to be a cage fighter and Johnny Marino has made him the best. Marino cares nothing for other people including his daughter, Dee, and Duncan, just what they can give him. His biggest worry is having someone ask him about his daughter and not knowing where she is. On one business trip to Thailand, he took his daughter with him and he went to the training camp to check on Duncan's skills. This is the first time Dee and Duncan meet. When Duncan comes to America, they become lovers, but no one can know because Mario will kill Duncan in a heartbeat.

What got me is why and how her father thought he could do to his daughter what he was planning to do. It does have it's own HEA in the end. Is it worth reading? most certainly. Will I be recommending it? for sure.
I was gifted this book for an honest review and I loved it. Duncan was not tames by Dee's mob boss dad but he was by her in a way.

A young man who was adopted out of the system, a young woman used like a trinket for her father's needs, a father who wants to only gain fame and money.
Duncan was a child of the system. While getting jumped one day by a bunch of kids, a man seen him and watched. His name was Glass to anyone who knew him. A mobster with the power, fame and money anyone would want. So when he tells Duncan, that he is going to be his adopted son. Duncan can't believe his luck. Now all he has to do is learn how to compete in underground cage fights and survive to see the girl he fell in love with when he saw her in Thailand. And survive.
Deidre is the only child of Glass. Always under his thumb, doing what he tells her to do. She has a dream to become a teacher. But with her father running her life she may never get to do it. If only he would believe in her. But what he doesn't know is that his little girl has a crush on Duncan. Can they keep it under wraps? And she has a big surprise for Duncan too, will he be happy about it?

I received an ARC from the author in exchange for my honest review. This has not altered my opinion nor have I been compensated in any way. This is 700 pages in the paperback version and since it is a romance, you already know there will be a happily everafter. I don't know if there will be an ebook version. Since a secret baby is mentioned, you will be looking for it. Whose baby is it? Will Marino know about it?

Story starts off with Deidra at a party for her mafia father to show off his adoptive son, the underground MMA sensation, Duncan. You find out rather quickly that they are in a secret relationship, and have been for a couple of years. Duncan wants nothing to do with all of the glitz and glamour, he just wants to be the best fighter there is. The two of them sneak away from the party to have a private moment to themselves, and unknowingly create a little version of themselves. Then the story goes back to the beginning of how they met and how everything came to be.

And that is how Emilia sucks the reader into their story....

Just the description of the book itself gives more away than what I'm willing to :-) This book is another great read from Emilia. The story behind the two main characters is great, as well as their individual backstories. The way they are drawn to each other is electric. And what's not to love about an MMA fighter?

Wow what a read, I was hooked. Duncan gets a chance to start a new life, so when Glass Marino offers the chance he takes it. Little does he know that his choice will lead him to Dee, the love of his life but also Glass Marinos daughter. Dee and Duncan have an instant connection, which only grows when they're together but they keep their feelings to themselves, Glass isn't somebody you mess with and as a mob boss his word is law. When things escalate Dee is forced to make a decision which changes their lives. Will the past catch up to her? Or will she get the future she always wanted with Duncan but never thought possible?
Omg this book has so much going on, the story and plot kept me riveted. The characters keep it interesting, and the PoV from both Dee and Duncan is great. There is so much angst, twists and turns it leaves you spinning. The sex is descriptive and hot as hell, but the love is obvious. There is violence, murder and distrust. I would have liked to have seen a bit more of an ending but it's not disappointing. Overall a page turner which I would recommend.

This book was off the chain. I was hesitant to start reading just because. But Duncan was on a wild ride from start to finish. Duncan grew up in an orphanage, all he knew how do was fight. He was on the streets when he was found by a young girls after who adopted him to fight in the cages. Dee's old man Glass who use to be a caged fighter but he was nicknamed Glass for a reason he had to stop fighting because his body was not meant to fight. He had so many broken bones he had to give it up. When Glass sees Duncan fighting he thinks he's found himself a fighter one that's stronger than he ever was. So Glass adopts Duncan at the age of 16 sends him over seas to train. Dun trains to be the best he's been poor all his live and Glass tells him being the best fighter will make him rich. Dun and Dee meet and there is an undeniable attraction that grows as they get older. Glass would never approve of their relationship so it's a secret for a few years until Dee gets pregnant. Dee's father wants the baby for his own. The way he loves Dee was insane., but it was so beautiful too see.

4.25 stars! Where can I get me a Duncan?!

Really enjoyed this book about Duncan and Dee! I really loved Duncan :) he was loyal, fierce, protective, loving alpha! He wasn't a manwhore but devoted to Dee from the start. They met when he was 18 and she was 16. Dee's dad is a mob boss and adopts Duncan. He trains him to become the best underground fighter for 2 years and that's where the story begins. There isn't any angst or any other love interests. He and Dee are in a secret relationship and are very much in love. But two years later she becomes pregnant and doesn't tell him due to some unexpected reason. Don't want to spoil the rest so you'll have to read it! ;) Oh and if you've read her other book, Uncaged, you'll see some of those characters in this book! Definitely recommend this book!

The only thing that bugged me is that Dee never says she loves him back even though Duncan does a few times.

Duncan was a champion fighter. He had been an orphan adopted and made by Johnny Marino, the most powerful mob boss in town. Deidre was Johnny Marino’s daughter, raised alone, without friends until Duncan came to her life. Their lives got complicated and they had to fight to survive. Loved Duncan character. He was a strong, smart and had his ways to be in charge. He was a man who worth his salt and that was good in the danger world around him. There was a lot of action, suspense, intrigue and sex in the development of the story. Every time there were more interesting things happening. Kept me interested all the time and trying to guess possible outcomes for their situation. Both had been alone and struggling with their lives but now were together and I enjoyed how the author made this work with a satisfying outcome. Lately I had been immersed in some Mafia stories and liked Untamed very much.

This was a really good book right from the start. Good back story given makes both characters really likeable. Duncan meets Dee when she visits him in Thailand with her father. She didn't know till he introduced himself that her father adopted him and was training him to be a fighter. Pretty sure it was love at first sight for both of them. Duncan is really good at what he does and fiercely loyal. It takes two years for them to meet again, both have matured and still there is this attraction that they can't avoid. Lots of twists and turns in this story. Underground MMA fighting, Mafia bosses, family rivalries and screwed up ideas of what family loyalty should be. Don't want to spoil it for you. I thoroughly enjoyed this book, hope you do as well.

So great

This book was so much better than I imagined!! Most mob boss foster/step-brother romances have the same premise, but this one was completely different.

Sometimes going back in the past can make the book just drawn out and not mean anything other than pages in the book to make it longer; however, not the case with this one. I think it helped so much with getting to know these two and how they really feel about one another. Knowing that when he got back from Thailand he knew what he wanted. That allowed us to see more of him as a person instead of a fighter.

Knowing what was going to happen when all hell broke lose made this book very edgy and full of suspense. I loved that. The ending was great and I loved that things got resolved. Great book and so worth the read.

I liked how Duncan was solely focused on Dee. After meeting her, whatever he was doing he had her in his mind. He was overprotective but not overbearing. He was devoted and caring but only towards her. I really like how he treated her. Although he didn't enjoy any school education, he was smart and was a deep thinker. I also like that he was reading up on everything he was not familiar with, like baby/children stuff.
Deidre was a smart cookie. How she resolved the issue with the father (who was a freaking @$$hole) was cool. Can't believe she was lucky enough to get away with it.
What bothered me is the fact that although you can read her thoughts, at times, I was getting mixed signals about her feelings for him. I didn't read her saying "ILY" to him once (maybe I skipped it???). He told her at least twice that I remember.....
I still enjoy the story.
