Deathstroke versus an army of Bizarros! As the battle within Lexcorp intensifies, the hunt for Slade’s missing daughter takes a surprising turn! Is a betrayal looming…or will it be something far, far worse?
This is an action packed series and I mean ACTION! I will follow this series into DC's latest reboot effort called "Rebirth" (and the Suicide Squad as well). When does Slade Wilson catch a break? From one bad guy to the next. He is looking like Bruce Willis at the end of the first Die Hard classic! Got to finish off this series, in another couple of weeks the "Rebirth" issue of Deathstroke comes out.
While searching for his missing daughter, Deathstroke has broken into the LecCorp Headquarters where he ends up facing an army of Luthor's genetic experiments. But these aren't any ordinary lab rats - they're failed clones of Superman, making them all Bizarros!
In order to overcome these clones and stop them from destroying LexCorp and escaping into Metropolis, Deathstroke has to work with Luthor's bodyguard, Mercy Graves, and a power suit imbued with Lex's personality algorithm. It's pretty much one big actioner with Deathstoke taking most the brunt of the attacking Bizarros. There's a bit of a trick to activating the fail-safe to knock them all out and that's where the teamwork comes in.
We are finally treated to a reveal of exactly who has taken Rose Wilson, but not the why. We don't learn much about him yet, so I'm guessing that's for upcoming issues to reveal. Interesting looking bad guy, so I hope that proves out.
Fun issue, but the wild goose chase after Rose is getting a little old. I hope it comes to a head soon or at least changes tact.
