When Brenda L. Thomas read the prologue to Threesome at an afternoon Montsho Booksigning, I knew I had to buy the book to finish the story...and I did that very night! This is an exciting, easy-to-read, page-turner that anyone can enjoy.
The story is largely narrated by Sasha Bourianni, an attractive 38 year-old executive secretary whose affair with a married man triggers a series of events that sends her life into a whirlwind that includes a career change (a personal assistant to an NBA star), relationship issues with her employer, her ex-lover, and the new love of her life. This is a short novel (about 130 pages) but the author gives us enough background on each character to help us understand their motivation and get into their psyche. For example, Sasha's views of self worth stems from a life-long longing for her mother (who died while giving birth to Sasha) and a childhood of being raised by a hustling, swinging father. Quite naturally, these experiences and unresolved issues shapes her adult ideologies on men, love, and sex and eventually explains her constant self-destructive behavior.
The supporting cast of characters was interesting as well and some had a few secrets and drama of their own to keep your nose in the book. I will admit, that based on the title and subtitle, I didn't think it would be the type of book I would want to read. But after the first few pages, it was clear that my preconceived notions about the book were wrong. I was hooked from the very beginning through the very end. This is a perfect book for a lazy summer afternoon...

One of love's casualties

Sasha~OH MY GOODNESS....
This here gurl is so self destructive! I just got this book 7/29 and I am finished with it. It's a fast read, and it's so sexually charged that you're flipping through the pages like WHAT! She didn't!!! Sasha- the habitual other woman is lost in love with a married man whose wife helps her journey to destruction by killing heself in front of them! Then she gets involved with someone younger than her son who controlls her sexually, not to mention that she runs into the arms of another man. Sasha doesn't know what love is, she mistakes sex,and lust for love. I hope that there is a sequel, I need to know if Sasha gets herself together.

Confused

Sasha Boriani's life was simple, it consisted of her going to work, coming home and there were times when she would have the pleasure of being with her boyfriend of five years, Cole.
Well, her life takes on a different twirl when Cole's wife finds out about their affair.

It seems as if Sasha can't find any single, unattached men as she migrates to the married ones.
Because of her bad judgments, Sasha is constantly stepping out of one bad situation right into another.

Threesome is a very quick read as well as a good book.

Where is the ending?!
The book in itself was great, she did a very good job of describing the situations, definitely a page turner!
unfortunately I didn't feel as though it was complete, why was she the way she was?!, why was she not able to live up to the meaning of her name?!; She started seeing a therapist but we don't know what that unfolded about her past! The ending seems as though she's one sexy glance from sleeping with a married man!
again the book was great but I felt as though the ending lead us back to the beginning!

Wow, who needs Shades of Grey? This is a racy tale of woman who consistently makes terrible choices. It's short and I could never really like the lead, but it was fun to try!

This book was so good..This book is a definitely a page turner for sure. In the beginning it start off with a women walking through the house looking around, eat food all the while not knowing she was in the home of her husband mistress...while up stairs a women and a man was sleeping. Peacefully like they were meant to be...but in a blink of an eye the plot thickens as the wife makes it to the bedroom where her unsuspectinghusban and mistress lie... what happen next will shock u to the core. The name of the book does no justice to the storyline it makes you think one thing and the books about another thing. I did not expect this book to start of like this...See when you play with people feelings this is what happens. I love basketball and this book put the love and basketball to the ultimate test. Its a page turner for sure. Im going to read another book by this author.

Ehh. Where do I begin?

The concept? Extremely interesting. The first chapter? Held my attention. But beyond that, it just got ridiculous.

Sasha Boriani is single mother (of an adult son) and the ultimate career woman. When she gets caught up with her most powerful client, NBA star Phoenix Carter, her life starts to get a bit complex.

In general, Sasha's character is intelligent, chic, and mature. But, for the life of me I could not understand why she made some of the decisions that she did!

Before Phoenix got into the picture, she was involved in a passionate relationship with her married lover Cole. As expected, this affair goes terribly wrong (cannot give this part away), and Sasha is forced to take a good look at herself and the decisions she makes. You would think after her nightmare ending with Cole she would move foward towards better, correct? Well, no. *eye roll*

She decides that throwing her all into a new career would be the best way to go. This is where that NBA superstar comes into play. She agrees to take on the dangerous task of being Phoenix's personal assistant. In this role she becomes a part of the thrilling and erotic world of professional basketball, and here folks, is where the book takes a nosedive.

Sasha's character was so weak it was literally painful. She yielded too easily towards self-destructive behavior and never seemed to actually learn her lesson. She had wanton disregard for herself and never conceded to the truth that her best friend (the only SANE character in the book) tried to drill in her head! It became extremely difficult to get through the rest of the book because of this.

I give THREESOME 2 stars (I'm being generous) and no I will not be picking up the sequel.

Can you say confused? I think Sasha has always been confused when it came to men. She has made so many bad choices that she didn't recognize Trent was the man she should have been with. Even though he had a baby by another woman, he was still the best she was going to get. Although being with a married man in the beginning of the book ended up with someone dying, Sasha was still contemplating being with a married man at the end of the book. Therapy doesn't seem to be helping after all. I would love to read a follow-up book to see what happens next with Sasha.

This book is Awful! I do not understand the high ratings. The prologue started off interesting and then from there the story just went left. The writing was elementary at best.
I would love to get my money back on this one.......just awful.
