I was gonna put a review here but I realized I could review it over on the blog someday. My plan is to review this one and use it to talk about the series in general and go over the others, since the next four from what I recall get a bit repetitive and I'll find myself saying the same pros and cons. We'll see if my plans change once I actually re-read those.

Short version, falters when it focuses a bit too much on the loser Max stuff and it feels too mundane for a lot of it but the setup is good and the climax and ending were actually mostly satisfying. It even wraps up the arc with the parents so if you were reading these to see how that wraps up, you can stop at this one if you want.

So yeah, there's that.

This story is about one kid that has to go throgh alot of event only to get a collar, really important. It is a book to laugh about and to get maybe a little bit afraid if you are reading at midnight. The book contains alot of characters bad, good, and the ones that only stands in one place at a time. But if you only count the ones that actually does something it would be a few. This book takes place at 2 scenarios 1 at home of course and at a camp where all the weird and action happens. The author of this comedy horror book is R.L Stine he is one of my favorite ones since he started making the goose bumps series and then the mostlt ghostly series. Wich are few but awesome. When I finished this book I wanted to go to a summer camp, but then I retracted because all the disgusting and scary things it would have that said the book. The author didnt have a moral just that belkive in ghosts I suppose because thats what it is all about. I recomend this book to people that are between 8 and 11 or if you love this type of books the comedy horror stuff.

I absolutely love the Mostly Ghostly series by R.L. Stine. They are fun books that just make me smile as I tear through the pages. Poor Max is always being picked on by his older brother Colin, who I want to pound on myself. I never had an older brother, and I sure wouldn't want one like Colin.

Will we ever learn what happened to Nicky and Tara's parents. And who exactly is Phears and why does he want their parents so badly? Yes, this is the book where a lot of questions are answered. Let's see, Phears is . . . hey, I'm not going to tell you!. You have to pick up a copy of Little Camp of Horrors and find out for yourself. For me personally, I can't wait to pick up the next book and see what kind of spine-tingling, hairy knuckles, toe-dragging chills the master of young adult horror (even though it really isn't scary) has in store for us.

Overall, Little Camp of Horrors is an excellent read and I highly recommend it. I can't wait to light a few candle and sink into the depths of the next book, Ghouls Gone Wild. Sounds deliciously creepy!

I rated this book a 9 out of 10.

A few weeks ago, I started to read this book. I really enjoyed Little Camp of Horrors, so I'm going to share it with you. The main character Max, wanted his pendant, but he could not have the pendant because his brother had it and would not give it to him. Max wanted the pendant because his ghost friends' parents are inside of it. So Max's mom comes into his room and asks if he wants to go to camp with his brother. Max said "no", because his brother is always mean to him. After thinking about it, Max decided that he might be able to sneak into his brother's cabin and get the pendant back. However, that didn't work out because his brother caught him. Then Max's brother Colin, threw the pendant out into the lake. Max jumped into the lake to get the pendant.

By the end of the book, Max's ghost friends, Nicky and Tara got their parents back. This was my favorite book in the series so far. Maybe it will be your favorite too.

so far i have liked this book because the kid has 2 ghost friends and they had got capture and the escaped and the main charecters older brother has a pendent that the evil creatures want so the main charecter max i trying to get it back and they are at camp snake lake and the lake is supposed to have posious snakes that if you so if you and swim in the lake that snake will like eat you ar something so late that night all the jumior counselors went swiming in snake lake so they were just joking around and the evil creature and living in the abandoned cabin the 2 kid died in and they are now ghosts and they want to kill all the living human campers so they wouldnt be the only camper that would have died at camp i think that, that would be really embrasing. i like this book because it is supenseful and i always want to keep reading. i finished the book and here is what happened well the bad ghost phears was looking for a pendant and maxes brother had it so they were waiting for max to get the pendant so that phears could destroy max not the brother so then the brother colin threw the pendant in to the middle of snake lake so max had so go and swim threw the lake to get it and then when he got it phears came and was hidding in one of the campers bodies so that he wouldnt know who it was. and then when he was still in the lake ghost snakes tried to kill max when he was swimming to shore! and then they were playing keep away with the pendant and max missed it and it broke open and nicky and taras parents were in there so then max had to put it together again to save nicky and tara and there parents so he did and the destroyed phears by using a anagram i liked this book because i was kind of scary!!

This is an ok book! Its not as scary as it looks! I think everyone should read it if your willing to take the time. Its a really easy book to read but, its still kind of confusing. It was soo suprising when somethings happen. I think i will read a similar book just like it! This book took place in a scary forest where many ghost appear! Max has to fight Phears without being scared and save his friends and there mother and father. I gave this book three stars because it is somethimes really hard to believe and sort of hard to understand in some parts.

This was the first R.L. Stine book I had read in awhile. I absolutely adored how cute and fast paced it was! This is perfect for lower middle grade. There is just enough spooky, but not enough to scare most kids.

I also enjoyed the fact that I was able to start on book four without having read the rest of the series and still understand what was going on.

This is a really cute series, but I have to say that the treatment of Max by his brother and father is appalling. Colin is a jerk, but his dad is borderline abusive. I just want to scoop Max up and give him a hug.
