This book is atrocious. I am a fan of horror, especially horror from Italy, but this author is just out of his mind. Horror is to be taken with a grain of salt and rarely can stand up against Oscar-worthy films and mainstream cinema. However, this author (Who claims to be a fan of the genre.)critiques these films like he is Roger Ebert. I mean how much of a script are you expecting from a zombie movie?

This book is certainly a lift, combining history and a treasure trove of films, presented alphabetically. It's a great and useful resource... to a point.
Some of the criticisms are helpful. Many others are repetitive and come across as saying something for the sake of doing so.
