A decade of living in hiding ends. Élan Gray confronts her fears in order to investigate a mysterious substance that has been killing people. She must use her connections in Terath’s bardic underbelly to find out what it is and who is making it.
As a newly-inducted shiv elder, Kassimeigh has a job to do and a score to settle. She’ll see justice done in her own way, with no one to tell her otherwise. It’s not the first time she’s had to reinvent herself, and she’s amassed a unique group of friends who will back her every step of the way.
Together they go on a journey that will reveal who their true friends and enemies are, and how far some people will go to get what they want.
Zen DiPietro is a lifelong bookworm, writer, and dreamer. Perhaps most importantly, a Browncoat Trekkie Whovian. Also red-haired, left-handed, and uber geek. Absolutely terrible at conforming. I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
I give this book 5 out of 5 stars!
First of all, I love this series!!! I love every single character, even the bad guys!
I love how Breaking Bard had more of Elan's character in it. I really love her character. I love Kassimeigh too..because she is the strong but silent type! Kassimeigh is extremely funny and starts to really loosen up in this novel.
When I read this series I cannot put the books down! I basically stay up to 3-4am to finish these books in this series.
This is the last book in the series so far, but if more people read this (please do), Zen may write more for this series! Zen has become one of my favorite writers! I would gladly read her grocery list!
Another very well written and enjoyable book This 3rd book builds very well on the previous entries to this world. I enjoyed getting to look in on my old “friends” from the previous books and still getting a whole new group of characters to care about. The look into a whole new group of citizens with their own traditions and views on the shared world really made the Bards special to me. As I read the last pages of this book, I was again sad to see it come to a close and look forward to the next book. The Author just needs to stop sleeping and write faster.
What a way to conclude a great trilogy. First book about a small group, add a few more; book number two about a person added in book one, but still the same group and adding a few more. Book three about someone met in book two, but still everyone along the way included. Love these kinds of books.
