*I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book*

When I first started this box set, I had trouble getting into the story. Book 1 just wasn't holding my attention until I was almost finished with it. I decided to continue on with book 2 and I am glad that I did. I love how sassy and snarky Anabel is. Oh and she is definitely a magnet for trouble with a capital T. I even liked Luke most of the time. I didn't like him so much towards the end of book 3. I seriously think she should have made him suffer more after what he did. Books 2 & 3 definitely made up for what was missing in book 1.

A Date with Fate
There is a lot of detail in here. Anabel is snarky, charming, and extremely chatty. There’s sometimes too much detail and most of it’s shared in flashback reminiscences that are sometimes difficult to recognize as not being current. I come at this from having read books much further along in the series, so I was able to get a kick out of some of the foreshadowing. I adore Luke and I think he’s perfect for Anabel: alpha enough to stand his ground against her and intuitive enough to know when and where he needs to give a little. I really enjoy this crazy, nutty family and their friends and I look forward to reading about all their escapades.
Courted by Karma
Anabel is chatty. With the people she knows, with people she doesn’t’ know, even with the voices in her head. I had noticed this as a complaint in many of the reviews on the first book, but really, it’s just Bel’s nature. Just as it’s in her nature that her highly refined sense of female justice will land her embroiled in another harebrained scheme to right the wrongs done to an innocent woman. It’s a good thing she has a big posse with wide and varied skills to help her: especially her very own Dark Knight. Having come at this book from further down in the series, I can’t help but sit back and marvel at Luke’s genius using her relationship rules against her. And I love watching the pair of them spar for the upper hand. I can’t wait to see what Bel lands herself in next.
In Love by Design
I love Anabel’s brilliant, devious mind and logicians’ oratory skills. Her ability to baffle, confound, and otherwise wrap such a smooth operator as Luke drake around her finger should be considered legendary. She may be a magnet for trouble, but that’s just her big, gooey heart and thirst for justice causing her to jump in to right wrongs in situations ordinary people are wise enough steer clear of. I adore seeing Luke’s interactions with her. He’s more than skilled at keeping Anabel on her toes and she seems to be very capable of returning the favor. The chemistry between them practically melts my reader.

I'm hooked!

I started book one thinking this was a romance and it is but it is so much more! Anabel is a very independent woman. A spitfire! She has a wicked sense of humor and lots of determination. She is very loyal to her family and close friends. She is a magnet for crazy situations. And one super hot guy. The dialogue is cheeky and fun but there is depth of character revealed as we get to hear her inner thoughts as she evaluates what is going on. Most of us have a devil and an angel whispering in our ears but she has a crowd: sex kitten, accountant, and mean mommy. The inner voices had me laughing! I would love to see later volumes bundled into box sets.

Charming, funny, sarcastic, romantic, & a must read

This trio of books was absolutely fun to read. I love the bond that these characters have. Luke & Anabel's relationship is unconventional but truly amazing. Any girl would be lucky to find soneone like Luke & any guy would like a tough girl like Anabel. I look forward to reading more!

I enjoyed the first in the series the most. The box set ended up being 5 books rather than 3. The first one was fairly well written with good characterization and few, if any, grammatical errors. The next books in the series were more about the erotica than the mysteries. There were more grammatical errors, such as you're instead of your. These books are definitely a light read.

Book 1:

Anabel Axelrod’s character is as cool as her name. I absolutely loved the first installment of her story. Tracy Ellen is a master of dialogue, and the witty banter between Anabel and Luke always had the goofiest of smiles plastered across my face. I actually enjoyed the hook of the ending, I understand where some readers would have liked more closure, but this is a series. Most series that I read (and really enjoy) leave on cliffhangers. That is how it is and what makes them so much fun to read. I absolutely hate that I have to read three ARC's before I can continue with the next book, but I know Anabel and Luke will be in the back of my mind while I quickly plow through them! I must know what is in that letter!

Book 2:

Such an amazing second in series! It is hard to write a review because all I can think of is, “I love Luke Drake. I love Luke Drake. OMG! I LOVE Luke Drake!” I can’t wait to continue with the series so I can get more of that delicious mystery man. I also loved Bel’s newfound tough nature and look forward to more bad ass moments from her. Luke’s parents were a great addition to the plot as well as the nasty Svetlana. Tracy Ellen had me so nervous many times throughout the book; I had no idea where she was going to take the plot—especially with Svettie, but the ending put the biggest smile on my face. Perfect! I highly suggest continuing the series because you will seriously miss out if you don’t!

P.S. I LOVE Luke Drake! :-)

Book 3:

This series is by far one of my favorites already. I wish there was a way to give more than five stars. Anabel, Luke, and the gang are such amazing characters; you know, the type that just stick with you forever. Once again, I found myself yelling, “I love Luke Drake” more times than I can count. He is just the dreamiest book man that has ever existed, and I was so pleased with the curve ball Tracy threw with his plot. Wow. So good. If you are wondering when we will get to know the real Luke Drake, this is the book to read, and get ready because it will blow your mind.

There were many intense moments where I was dying to know what on earth Anabel could be thinking, and could not wait until she addressed them. At one point, my stomach was in knots with worry how she would react because she is so unpredictable—which is what makes her such an incredible character. I found myself creating situations in my head and wondering, “What would Anabel Axelrod do?” The characters are written so well, you will begin to believe they actually are real, or maybe that is just me. It has been a very long time since I have felt this connected and attached to an entire cast of characters. Thank you, Tracy Ellen! I can’t wait to continue this outstanding series!

I received this book willingly from the author.

Though after finishing last night I was cursing her name. I loved this book and can't wait for more.
I totally got sucked into the characters and their lives.

We have Anabel Axelrod and her crazy family. Anabel is named after her NanaBel and has bought NanaBel's book store after many years of working there as a child. Anabel has some sisters and then some ladies who are like sisters to her. The author seamlessly weaves all their crazy stories into Anabel's.

Then we have sex on a stick, otherwise known as Luke Drake. Luke is a very mysterious man who showed up one day in the book store and set Anabel's southern parts a flame.

I won't tell you any more about this boxed set, other than I had a few very late nights wanting to get through each book. I cannot wait to read more on this couple's crazy adventures.

Loved this book!!!!

Thanks Ms Ellen.

New Addict

Where to start, where to start.... so you may have noticed that I gave the first book in this series 3 stars... let me just say I had NO idea addictive how Anabel Axelrod was going to become. I read book one and thought, "Ok if the second book goes on sale or becomes free I will get it". Who knew it would leave you wondering and twinkling in the back of your mind? Tracy Ellen did! Lol, I can honestly say I'm completely hooked and ready for more. Be prepared to SOL ( snort out loud), curse out some characters and say, " She seriously did not just have THAT happen!"
Can not wait to get my hands on the rest of this series! ~

Long winded, boring, insufferable droll...this character drove me nuts ant the storyline had a lot of potential. Ugh, I HATE Annabel!!!!
