Captain Henry Danton has three beautiful daughters. Tall, icy, blond Kate, the eldest. She is engaged to tall, handsome Lieutenant Reginald Sansford. The second daughter is Rose, who is quite little, dark haired and very coquettish. Finally, there is Eeny, the youngest.
The reader follows the three girls through their emotional life. That is about it. A strong didactic morality adds to the general trashiness of the setting. At least, the book is easy to read, and there is a happy end - kind of.

My favourite Fleming so far. Love the pseudo-Bronte plot and Quebec setting
