Kasey Millstead will break your heart, and then put it back together again Convoluted by Kasey Millstead is the heartwarming story about two people who fall in love in the most complicated circumstances. Football. Women. Freedom. No longer controlled by the invisible complexities that plagued his childhood, Oscar Henley was living his dream. He was on top – of his game, of women, of life. Those on top always fall the hardest. When his football career ends, Oscar returns to his hometown to figure out where his life is headed. He expects to find a new job. What he doesn’t expect to find is Rosie. Dread. Trepidation. Despair. Life wasn’t always like this. Rosie Smith grew up in a small town with good friends and a great family. Somewhere along the way she lost herself, as well as everyone else. Too bad murdering someone is illegal. Stuck in a hell she sees no escape from, every day is a struggle, and every night she prays for a way out. Love. Happiness. A future. By finding themselves, Oscar and Rosie find each other. Their combination is powerful, consuming and heart racing. Because even in its simplest form, love is convoluted.

The little boy grew into a man

It was a great story to see Oscar all grown up and being the adult his parents knew him to be.. Rosie had a relationship that was very unhealthy so when these two are brought together it magic in the making..... Loved it

Another 5 star winner

Could I possibly love this series any more than I do?? Idk because I really love this big family and all their kids. It makes me jealous that I don't have this in my life.
Oscar is facing a huge fork in the road with his injury. He won't be able to keep playing but funny enough, he's ok with that. Lady Luck has offered him an incredible opportunity when the station next to his family ranch goes up for sale. It couldn't get any better than this except when Oscar notices it's a little quiet in his house at night. Not to worry though, Lady Luck can take care of that too.
Rosie thought her life was going to be great when she met Michael, but it went south quick! Oscar was her savior who gave her a safe place to recover and wanted to show her what love was really like.
This entire series is great! I'm a huge Kasey fan and will read everything she releases!!!

I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.

Oscar is all grown up and a forty legend, at least until a mishap on the field leaves him down and out. Rosie has been in a dead end abusive relationship for years. She is so beaten down she knows she needs to get out but she can't. A chance meeting and instant attraction between Oscar and Rosie and neither can get the other out of their minds.

Such a lovely and sad story all at once. The sad truth behind the abuse that occurs in many homes is bought to light in this book. I couldn't help but hope that Rosie was able to get the courage up to do something about it. Oscar has faced a lot of hardships growing up so to read as his future is shattered was so sad. But the way things go for both characters brings a sigh and a smile.

Oscar has a career ending injury that makes him go home and decide what his future will hold.

Rosie lives a life that no women should have to live but doesn't know how to get out. She has know Oscar all her life but knows that he can't do anything, not even look at him.

Fate intervenes one night and they discover that they should get to know each other better. But Rosie has commitments that she needs to settle first.

The time apart will either divide them or make them stronger.

Kasey has written another exciting Aussie Cowboy who knows what he wants but has to decide whether to fight or not.

A spin off from the Cowboys Down Under Series, the next generation of Pine Creek are getting their stories. That said this can be read as a stand alone.
Really enjoyed Oscar and Rosie's story, so heart breaking reading Rosie's life early on. Gotta say I really hope Bridie & Hendricks get a story...... with each other!
