Interesting, especially the illustrations, but not written for a beginner trying to understand what and why alchemy is, like myself. There were definitely parts that I didn’t understand, causing me to put the book down for days before picking it up again — the reason why it took me over two months to read such a slim volume.

This is a lovely introduction to the history of alchemy. There are gorgeous illustrations throughout this book. I read it for research on a project I'm working on and found it easy to read and understand.
