In lively verse, preschoolers and elementary-aged children alike are inspired to tumble, stretch, dash, skip, stack, skitter, and glide.

Parents, teachers, and caregivers are invited to share the zing and spark of kicking a ball, clapping hands, creating secret sofa forts, and finger painting with children. Linger in a sunny afternoon, take a wheelbarrow ride, smile in the delight of chasing colorful autumn leaves, and finally unwind with a gentle sleeping rhyme.

Such an amazing book done in verse with bright and colorful illustrations. I loved it! The book was set up with many different verses set up in Dyslexie Font to makes the words easier for the reader. With 22 different verses it touches on everything from the seasons and Grandpa's Day to fun things to do like follow the leader and hippety-hop. I highly recommend this book for kids of all ages. I won my hardback copy and want to thank the author for the awesome giveaway. This book will go on my forever shelf.

I received this book from a Goodreads Giveaway. It is simply delightful!
The whimsical illustrations are colorful and eye-catching. The book introduces a wide variety of action rhymes that involve other children, adults, and animals. It represents multiple races. The text is in a font that all people can read, including those with dyslexia.

What a delight! Each poem in this collection celebrates the activity, creativity, and imagination of preschoolers and elementary age children. From an exuberant teeter-totter ride to a colorful adventure in finger painting to a lovely lullaby and so much more in between, Raven Howell captures the simple, yet oh so special moments that make up childhood. Raven’s beautiful verse shines through Ann Pilicer’s lively illustrations. They make an unbeatable combination!

You wouldn’t think the book could be any more special until you learn that it was designed with a dyslexic font. This font makes letters easier to identify and allows children with dyslexia to read with less effort and frustration. As the parent of a child with dyslexia, I would have loved to have had books designed with this font when my child was struggling mightily to make sense of letters and words and how they came together to form sentences and paragraphs. This book should be a staple on every school, library, and home bookshelf. SPIN A CIRCLE was an absolute joy to read and experience.

My two year old son loved this book. I loved the short poems and he liked all of the artwork/pretty colors. It is a good length book with the poems being short enough to keep my son's attention throughout. We won this book in a give away, the author also included a cute puzzle piece stress ball that my son is currently loving also.

Fun, Creative Children's Poems --Many Moods

Spinning Circles and A See Saw Rhyme are full of action, others--Catch Your Breath--quietly call to share a moment with an inchworm. Music, Jumping Jacks, and Finger Painting are poems children will easily relate to.

Raven Howell writes cute poems for children! Fun!

I received a copy of this book, free, through Goodread Giveaways.

Though an amateur reader of books to small children, I’ve been doing it with children and grandchildren for some 47 years and during that time I’ve developed some pretty specific tastes. And, just so you know, the grandfather is called "Pa" as I am and that may well create a base. :-)

This volume of short poems is illustrated in as diverse a way as possible—with all kinds of humans and animals well represented. The poems themselves are catchy, easy on both the ear and the imagination. There is also a statement that the font is designed especially for folks with dyslexia.
. It seems like the kind of book that can be calming at bedtime or lead to wild dancing and pantomime on a rainy afternoon.

A nice addition to a pre-school library.

An absolutely wonderful and adorable Children's book. I love that it is dyslexic friendly as well, I believe all books should be!

The illustrations are bright and colorful, they're fun to look at and keep kids entertained! They're done well, the children are diverse, and it's overall cute!

The poems are fun, short and sweet, and easy to understand! A great introduction to poetry for children.

I also feel that since much of this book takes place outside, It can be good encouragement for physical activity and more playing outside among kids in the current generation. It shows that playing outdoors can be very fun too!

Overall I highly recommend this book, especially in schools! If you have children, or work with them, this book is a great read. Give it a try, anyone can read it!

This book is a thorough delight. A fresh, inventive poem on every page. So imaginative and rhythmic I find myself reciting them as I go about my day. The book encourages kids to move and bounce through all sorts of healthy physical activities, and I confess it is inspiring me to do the same. My favorite is the one about the wheelbarrow and the ladybugs. Really unexpected. Also, the book is just downright pretty. The illustrations are beguiling and adorable and the colors are irresistible. A real winner.

What a charming book of movement rhymes! Back in the day, when I led parent-toddler movement classes at the YMCA, I'd have loved to use these little action poems with the kids. So fun! This would also be great to pair with Marilyn Singer's A Stick Is an Excellent Thing.
