'Control' is a fantastic addendum to the 5 book Outage series. It gives us a look into Tom's (main protagonist) life after the Outage storm and how it has affected present day life. For only a little over twenty minutes of listening time, this short story gave me some very satisfying answers about what became of him. The additional detailed insight explains how he is negotiating (and coping with) his vastly changed everyday life - giving me with some much appreciated closure and tying up all loose ends in a neat bow.
Additionally, I especially appreciated Mr. Piperbrook's author's note at the end. It explains how and why he came with the premise for the Outage series. He said the idea occurred to him during a horrible blizzard in 2011 which caused many, many people to lose power for weeks with no way to get out or get help if need be. He thought what if a drastic weather condition - such as this - was made even more horrifying and catastrophic by having something lurking out there - just waiting for a situation such as this - so they can take advantage of people at there most vulnerable. Well... he certainly did a fantastic job making his idea into a fantastically horrifying and thrilling series.

Outage: Control is a short story appendage to the Outage series. It is a mostly unnecessary finale, but because it is included in the set, it is a nice little wrap up of the series involving two of the characters. I found that the entire series was fast-paced, almost asthma-inducingly quick. The cold, the blizzard conditions, all were very professionally written about.
I lived in Middletown, Connecticut for 12 years and I now live in Puerto Rico, a marked change in climates, but these stories took me back to those years when I went to school in those New England snow-crusted climes, where the cold is biting and the snow falls fast, hard, and loose.
Believe it or not, the coldness helped me when studying. It was great to snuggle with a book, loved ones, and hot cuppa-something to escape or thoroughly engage with the texts of old, dead, white men. Really good series if you are into horror, and even better if werewolves are your bent.

I'm SO sad this series is done. It was the best horror story I've read in a long time. It kept me on the edge all the way through. I really enjoyed the ending too, the author wrapped everything up nicely with Tom. I would have liked if Kelsey had found him, but at least we got an ending -unlike some books I've read. I won't look at snowstorms the same for a long while.

Not bad, a nice little follow to the entire Outage series. Maybe the blueprint for a new direction?

I loved this short story about Tom's life after the 3-night storm. I just wish it was longer because I don't want this sectors to end!

Awesome
I loved the short story that kind of wrapped up the series quite well. I don't want to put any spoilers.
Even though it was only a few pages, there was a lot if action and I was intrigued.

Great Series!
The Outage series was fantastic! They’re easy to read books that are packed full of action and gore. The storyline is continuously interesting and so are all the characters.

Definitely short
This is a good short story about Tom and Jeffrey, who are werewolves. My only problem is I like my werewolves to be villain not the good guys. But heck can't have everything.

Thrilling!!
This series kept me wanting to continue reading without putting it down. I’m so glad the 6th book ended with with a WOW effect!!

The ending to a terrific series of books, I almost didn't like to see it end. It was almost a letdown by t U thoroughly enjoyed it.

Without having read the preceding books in the series, this short story doesn't stand alone. Saying that a human character "completed the change" into a beast is leaving too much unexplained and undescribed. Spoilers or no, it does not feel like anything is at stake, as we don't learn anything about the characters' motivations within this story.

Not sure when this released, but I read it the same day. It was only 10 pages I think, but it was nice to see Tom and see how he and Jeffrey were acclimating to their new circumstances after the events from the previous books.
