This will be a short review for Volume 1 to 3.
I was curious about this one, would it follow the anime (since both of them got out at the same time) or would it be totally different. Well, for most it follows the anime, but by Volume 2 I knew that there would be several things that would be missing. It was just not possible to stuff all that in one volume, unless you would make that volume a few sizes bigger. :D
And in the end that came true. The manga stops after the whole who killed Ryuko's father thing. There is no mention about the life fibers, nor do the teacher and his friend make a big appearance, nor do we find out about Satsuki's mom, nor do we find out more about Ryuko (those who watched the anime will know what I mean). Instead we have the big battle between Ryuko and the Elite Four, followed by Nui popping up.
It is a bit of a shame, I wouldn't mind to see all the stuff from the anime in the manga again, but I guess they decided that this was enough, or maybe they didn't get a chance to continue.
Still it was a delight to see Ryuko again, to see Mako again. (I just love that girl. At times she seems ditzy and not that smart, gets captured often, but you can see that she has wisdom in her, and she is really caring and sweet, and also very dedicated.)
Of course there wasn't much new things for me in this manga, but it was still a big delight to get back to that world and see old friends. I had quite a lot of laughs about quite a few parts, and I was cheering at other parts.
It took me a bit to read this one, as reading German has gone down since I don't really read much German stuff, but I hope to read more and thus get my level back up again. :)
All in all, I would recommend this manga to everyone. And of course watch the anime as well, as Trigger is truly awesome at making anime. :D

La nota va a la serie en general. El manga la verdad es que no está nada mal, el dibujo muy cuidado y añade alguna cosa que no aparece en el anime, pero al final ocurre lo que me venía temiendo desde el principio. Al tener sólo tres tomos pensé que o comprimian mucho la historia o seguramente no llegaría al final del anime. Y así fué, el manga se queda justo antes de la parte más interesante del anime. Y es una pena porque podría haber tomado algunas decisiones diferentes y haber cambiado un poco el curso de la historia o como suceden algunos acontencimientos.

Ok. El tomo con más capítulos de los tres, efectivamente resumiendo muy rápido las geniales batallas contra en concejo estudiantil de Honnoji y Harime Nui. El manga concluye, precisamente, un capítulo o dos antes de la mitad de la serie, en donde Senketsu hace su famoso resumen de lo que ha pasado. Da la casualidad que ese es el capítulo en donde me quedé yo.
Entonces, este manga, ya concluido, te deja a medias, incluso si la serie estaba ya por emitir su último episodio para este momento. ¿Acaso no se estaba vendiendo bien?
En fin, el manga en general está bien, pero sólo te lo recomendaría si, como yo, dejaste la serie a la mitad pero recuerdas lo suficiente para que el manga no te deje una impresión aguada de los sucesos.

Esse volume tenta fazer e explicar coisas demais em um número de páginas insuficiente e acaba com mais pontas soltas do que qualquer coisa. Ele tenta dar a resposta do mistério principal, mas essa resposta é só a ponta do iceberg no anime e na adaptação para mangá ela aparece como um algo pior que um Deus Ex Machina, essa resposta é simplesmente dada do modo mais aleatório possível e esse volume termina com o leitor confuso e precisando recorrer ao anime para entender pelo menos metade das pontas soltas que esse volume deixa. O que provavelmente era a intenção: chamar mais público para o anime através do mangá, mas ele consegue isso com confusão e não com o desejo de ver mais de uma obra que você gosta muito ou acha muito boa.

I appreciate this as a fan of the original series but given that it's not a complete adaptation and in a lot of cases does less due to the removal of objective timing and beautiful animation, I can't really recommend this, especially over the original show. I have to stress that I appreciate the effort that was made here, there are some really well done translations to the page, but it's unfortunately not worth investing time and money in for it.

Los mangas pasan a ser uno mejor que el otro, lo cual es bueno, aunque si viste primero el anime y luego leíste el manga, hay algunas cosas que no llegan a aparecer a lo largo de los volúmenes, yo creo que es un manga muy bien hecho que te atrapa en la historia y honestamente disfrute cada uno de ellos

Me gusto más que el anime.
Creo que la parte atractiva de este anime es la acción y no tanto la historia, por lo que se avanza rápido con el manga debido a poca dialogo o explicaciones.
Esperaba una continuación del anime o incluso una conclusión de la historia, pero no, es literalmente lo mismo.

I had a sense that this volume had a story within it, but only the author knew it; he was unable to convey it to his audience via words or pictures. Is there a follow on volume? I can't tell and thankfully I don't have one.

L'ultimo volume della serie è di gran lunga il migliore,grazie a uno stile visivo più consistente e complesso,con l'esplorazione di molte visuali assolutamente contorte e impossibili nella realtà,e per questo estremamente interessanti,e pose plastiche dei personaggi più ricercate,anche i dialoghi hanno decisamente fatto un passo avanti,con l'introduzione della tematica della "follia"che,pur essendo appena accennata e non essendo neanche lontanamente sviluppata e centrale come nell'anime originale rimane interessante.
I momenti di maggiore interesse del volume sono i duelli,che finalmente raggiungono il giusto mix di commedia ed epica e l'introduzione di Nui Harime,nettamente uno dei personaggi più interessanti della serie,mentre l'unico vero problema con il volume è il finale,visto che il manga copre all'incirca il 50% della storia originale,e quindi questo terzo volume si conclude senza risposte definitive o un grande scontro finale,ma il manga era stato ideato contemporaneamente all'anime principalmente per cercare di spingere più persone possibile a vedere la serie animata,la mancanza di un finale era stata decisa fin dall'inizio per "costringere" i lettori a vedere l'anime per sapere come sarebbero andate a finire le vicende dei personaggi,e per gli standard di questo tipo di produzioni nel mercato nipponico(che per altro di solito funzionano al contrario,cioè viene creata una serie televisiva priva di finale per spingere lo spettatore a leggere il manga originale o la serie di light novels)questa serie ha un livello qualitativo sorprendentemente alto.

Last volume. Really disappointed that they didn't go into the depth that the show went into regarding re: the Original Life Fiber, Nui's origins, Ryuuko's origins, and how it all tied together. Very abbreviated. Fans, don't go looking for much in terms of new material. :/ Still for what we got, great stuff.

This was a good volume. We all knew Ryuko would ultimately win. But, it was fun to follow her and Mako along the way.
I just wish that this series had been longer than only 3 volumes!
