As a civil lawyer, I spent many, many years writing complex legal briefs for unappreciative bosses. To keep from stabbing myself (or them) in the eye with a fork during all of that, I also started writing down the stories in my head. All on my own time, of course ;) Turns out, I'm a sucker for hot, alpha male shifters and kickass heroines.

Now, I've thrown away my shingle (er - more like burned it in a fire pit) so I can devote my time to bringing you sizzling, erotic, paranormal romance stories. If you like hunky, bad boy shifters, women who know what they want in and out of the bedroom, panty-melting sex scenes, and edge of your seat suspense, I've got you covered! We'll put the rahr in erotic romance (okay, okay, that sounded better in my head).

I LOVED IT!

Received a free copy through a promo, didn't know what to expect.

This was Hot, Hawt, Hot!

Bas - a sexy shifter who knows what he wants but is still a gentleman who treats Abby with reverence and respect.

Willing to be who and what she needs never putting his needs before her own.

Not going to lie, I started getting frustrated with Abby and her "silly" need to uphold a moral code for her employers sake but she finally came to her senses (as expected) ;-)

This was great, I'm glad all there problems weren't solved in the end. This makes it more realistic (even though it's a shifter romance lol). This leaves new issues to attack in the follow up book with Bas 2nd in command - Alec.

Anyone who reads this book and knows of other male protagonist that reminds you of Bas - let me know!

Paced for multi genre experience!

The best part of this how there is an element to a mystery pushing your mind to latch from one word to another. Driving you nuts to find out what will happen next to the pack... then you have the additional features of Bas and Abby to highlight romantic thrill.

I got this ARC for a honest review.

The other books in this series were very good, but this one is even better.
Couldn't stop reading because I wanted to know what was going to happen next.
When Abby meets Bas on her first fay of work the sparks fly between them, but she can't explain them. Also she isn;t in for a relationship, she needs this job to get out of the trailer park she lives in.
But she is used by her boss, he is sending her to Bas again and more heat is on. But she still resists.

When she finds out a secret which would help her boss, but destroy the future of the werewolves, Abby has to tel Bas about it.
Even if this is a bad choice career wise, this because she does have feelings for Bas.
And she can't hold back what she knows after meeting his "family"

Sizzling hot moments between, tension because of the evil guys and a bad werewolf.
Lot's of action.

Also love the fact you can read this book as a stand alone.
But why not read the other books in this series too? You will not be disappointed.
Looking forward to read more from this writer and in this series.

Excellent

Well done! This story has everything a reader could want in a story. Strong lead characters, both male and female. HE A and no cliffhanger but with the chance to continue in other books.

I'd give it a 2.5 if I could but it doesn't look like I'm able to do half stars, anyway...

It doesn't seem to keep me as invested as the first two books. I keep putting it down and coming back to it. I think it has a lot to do with the fact that the author makes it seem like Sebastian (Bas) is a man whore who often takes interests in the young interns at the legal office and it just doesn't make for an interesting read. Sure it could be all smoke and mirrors by Dale but I don't think so because for some reason most authors tend to make werewolves slutty, especially the males. Aside from the above, the writing also felt off to me? Like the quality of it was just ok.

I'm not usually in the habit of not finishing a book but this one is right up there with Lights Out in that I may not finish it.

Edit: I did finish it and I can't say it got better. It felt long. The only chemistry between Bas and (Can't even remember her name even though I finished it tonight) was purely sexual and that's all they really did when they were together. Bas left her a few times for lengthly periods and it felt hollow. To make matters worse, the sudden reveal of fated mates to Alphas will also react to other Alphas and be with them if their mate dies really breaks the romanctic ideal of soulmates/fated mates. Like any ol' Alpha will do should the supposed love of your life die. Even Pat brings up that she's been with multiple werewolves, which just makes it once again feel hollow. I loved the first two books but this one really ruined it for me and after seeing the description of the next one makes me believe Alec is going to kill Kane and take his mate as his own. Yeah, sorry but no matter how the author may twist it'll just feel wrong. As I said, she ruined it with the whole fated mates to Alphas basically just being attracted to all Alphas and would easily find a new mate if theirs dies. New rating is a 2.

Good story, interesting protagonists and lots of Heat

Really enjoyed this story though I found some elements hard to reconcile with the general existing Wolf shifter mythology. Abby and Bas were characters I took an immediate liking too. I thought the background info on Abby and the relationship with her mother was a bit throwaway. It barely seemed necessary to the book. It seemed odd there was pretty much no background info on Bas.

I would have liked more depth surrounding the crisis and the aftermath. Specific scenes with the Congressman would have enhanced the drawdown. Plus we don't know what happened with Willie Jr et al. It kind of felt unfinished.

If it weren’t for Abby being an idiot, this would be a 5 for me. I get it—she wants out of her mom’s trailer house and she can’t screw up her internship. But no matter how sleepy Dale is or how creepy his vibe is, she simply cannot betray her ethical code to warn and help Bas, whom she LOVES by the way. This book was hotter than the previous two and I wanted to love it so much but her stubbornness and unwillingness to be there for Bas for so long regardless of the fact she LOVES him really just kinda pissed me off and made me skim through a chunk of it. -_-

I enjoy Kimber White’s books and this one was no different. It’s a fast paced, easy read with likeable characters and good villains. I liked Abby for her self-determination and I enjoyed reading this story from her POV. I don’t like to write reviews that give too much away, but for me, this is a 4 star story.

This one is better than the previous two. Much more fleshed out. I wish it had more substance to it and the man's perspective as well but it scratches my romance novel itch and ticks off most boxes for me.

This wolf shifter story centers around Bas Lanier, the Alpha of the largest pack in the Wild Lake area of Michigan. Bas is also top executive at Wild Lake Outfitters World Headquarters, an outdoor apparel store that is one of the wolves' largest sources of income. (And also where they get all their jeans, which keep getting shredded each time they shift.) The heroine of the story is Abby, who has just completed her first year as a law student. She has gotten a highly sought after summer intern job in the offices of Congressman Foster. The Congressman and his right hand assistant, Dale, are trying to push through some legislation that will give them control over the Wild Lake lands. Since that is home to a number of wolves pack, losing the land to the state would be disastrous for the wolves. Abby doesn't know it, but the reason she was hired for the internship was not because of her good grades and intellect, but because as a beautiful woman, she would be a distraction to Bas.
Bas is described as having a “thick, golden red hair.” “ The wavy edges brushed his collar”. He is frickin' gorgeous, “with piercing blue eyes that flashed bright.” (His wolf is also a gorgeous red color, with golden tips.) Pay no attention that that imposter on the cover of the book. I'm not sure who stood in for him the day that cover picture was taken, But it sure isn't the same Bas who made his way into Abby's heart and my imagination.
Anyway, the real Bas is totally taken by Abby, and vice versa. He knows she is meant to be his mate. Abby knows there are wolf shifters living in the area, but before her internship, had never met one. Now she's met two. First, Dale, the congressman's assistant at work (who is kind of a smarmy stooge, and not a very nice wolf either), and now Bas. It makes for some rather humorous lines, like when Bas shows up to give her a ride, she looks over and says, “Why Mr. Lanier, what big teeth you have?”
One thing not quite so humorous is the constant dwelling on the fact that Abby is trying to escape from her life as “trailer trash”. “Oakwood Mobile Home Park fit every stereotype there was about trailer trash, located literally on the wrong side of the tracks.” The put downs describing her home in a beat up double-wide, and her lusty drunk mother with loser boyfriends abound, starting at the 8% point and through the 49% mark, mentioned at least eight different times. I'm sorry, I don't mean to be picky, but as a trailer park resident myself, I am so sick and tired of these stereotypes. I love my home and have wonderful neighbors! Oh, and by the way, few of us are so lucky as to have double-wide's.
Anyway, putting that minor detail aside, the romance between Bas and Abby is totally smokin', the chemistry so thick I couldn't cut it with a knife. These two are so made for each other!
The story line is also gripping, as Abby becomes more aware of the Congressman's plans for the wolf land. She's torn in the middle, knowing that saying anything about it to Bas would be a confidentiality breach on her part and seriously jeopardize her job.
This is definitely a well written and gripping story of love and conflict. Although part of a series, it can easily be read as a stand-alone. With each book, the wolf shifters keep getting hotter, and I didn't think that was possible! I don't know what kind of wolf is coming next, but this one is going to be hard to beat.

Abby is starting an internship with the local congressman. upon arriving she picks up the shifter vibes from his assistant, it aren't good vibes. the way he looks at her isn't promising either. But Abby doesn't have much choice, she has to make this a success, it was a wanted position, a position that could start her career once she finished school.
on her very first day she's stunned when a man barges into the office and without taking notice of those around has a heated conversation with the congressman. when he storms out again he practically runs her over. when he's close she can't help but be overwhelmed by him. when he smells her and fixates on her it's even more strange before he storms off.
the next day she's sent to meet Bas Lanier and present him with some papers for a new bill the congressman is working on. they're hoping she can ease the man a bit. big is her surprise when Bas is the man who towered over her the previous day.
there is something between them that has them both interested but also cautious to act on it. when Bas kisses her she's overwhelmed and not really sure why he did.
as she overhears her boss and his assistant she knows a lot more is happening and Bas wouldn't be happy if he found out what is really going on but she can't tell him or she'll risk her job. she also starts suspecting her employer using her as some sort of diversion to occupy Bas.
When things get too dangerous she doesn't hesitate to tell him everything.
For Bas there is also a lot to explain to her but about a lot of different things. he understands why she didn't tell everything from the start but now that he knows, they have to start moving fast to safe the future of their pack!
a thrilling addition to this series, loved reading it. Bas really is a likable guy, so are the rest of his men. was sucked in from the get go and it was hard putting it away until i was done reading!

When Abby got the coveted Internship in the Senator's office she was both delighted and nervous. A normal reaction. When she met her immediate boss she realized she would be working with a shifter. She'd always been interested and heard the rumors about them being around. She was a bit disappointed, this guy was not the hot, built guy she'd expected but none the less he was a wolf. Then her expectations were met—and how! Sebastian (Bas) was even more than she'd expected. His hot look and hot look at her was just the beginning. At their meeting she didn't know if he was working with the Senator or against. She was about to find out.

Politics and romance are usually not good bedfellows as they say. Exactly. How do you work for a man who is trying to take so much from the man who is starting to mean so much? To be professional with a non disclosure agreement she can't tell Bas. But what if she finds something that could destroy him and his pack? If you work for someone you think is not quite clean are you still obligated?

I love the pack. The guys are a kick, dangerous, big goofs, loyal and protective. Can she betray them? When a lady is with an Alpha she has a duty to the pack as well, doesn't she? We get to renew our acquaintance with Luke's mom and uncle from Dark Wolf. They are also loyal to the wolves. This makes it very difficult for Abby. When the decision includes danger and threats she is even more torn.

Romance is difficult enough, add politics, and professional loyalty, advancement and safety, it becomes impossible. How is she supposed to resist the wealthy, hot, deadly, hot, intimidating, hot sifter?

Another winner from an new favorite author for me. I love the series, fell for the pack and can't wait to read the next one.

We've met Bas a couple of times in other books about the Wild Lake wolves. Now, he finally gets his own story.

Abby has grown up in Wild Lake and is all too familiar with the "rumors" that run rampant about werewolves. Starting her new job interning for a congressman, she finds out that her new boss is a werewolf, and nothing like she was expecting. Instead of sleek, racy, and handsome, he's short, stout, and a jackass. Every interaction with him sets Abby on edge, and not in a good way. Later the same day a mountain of a man blows into her office and he's everything one would fantasize about--tall, built, and handsome as sin. Right as he is about to walk out he eyes her up and down and introduces himself as Bas.

As the attraction between these two grows, Abby has to figure out where her loyalties lie once she figures out what her crazy shifter boss is up to. Will she stick with her internship knowing the work she's asked to do seems shady? Or will she break her confidentiality agreement and help the man she is fast falling for?

Another great read from Kimber White! Unlike Luke's story, Bas has no qualms going after the woman he wants. The chemistry is of course hot between Bas and Abby. If you love the Wild Lake Wolves you will not be disappointed with this new story!

Sebastian "Bas" Lanier is Alpha of one of Wild Lake Wolves as well as owner of Wild Lake Outfitters. Bas barges in Congressman Landon Foster's office bearing a trap not caring who he upsets or disturbs in the process. Bas is stunned to find a young woman in the office but unsure what to make of her. Abigail "Abby" Winslow is a law student that got a dream internship with Congressman Foster's office. Upon seeing Bas, Abby wants to get closer to him no matter what. Congressman Foster and Aide Dale Thorp are attempting land grab hoping that Abby's skills will get them what they want. Abby isn't suppose to know about Congressman Foster and Thorp's plans. Abby is torn between heart and Bas's need to know the truth. Will Abby admit her feelings for Bas? Will Congressman Foster and Thorp succeed? Can Abby tell Bas the truth? Your answers await you in Primal Heat: Wolf Shifter Romance.

I'm really loving this series! The characters are tough as nails yet have such compassion and passion that's astounding to behold. The story really sucks you in from first page to last page just doesn't stop either. Primal Heat definitely lived up to it's title and thensome. Looking forward to the next book in the series.

Bas and Abby

This third addition to the series is a standalone with an HEA. It is one of the better shifter series I've read, with well developed characters and storylines. While it isn't necessary to read prior books in the series to enjoy this book, they do provide background for the characters, locations and events. And they are great reads.
Bas Lanier is the alpha of the largest wolf shifter pack in Wild Lake and the CEO of the pack's businesses. Abby Winslow is a law student interning at the local state representative's office. They meet when Bas charges into their office carrying iron traps, and blaming the representative for their being on his land. They meet again when Bas rescues her from a rainstorm after she misses her bus, then from the advances of a drunken classmate outside a bar. But her boss has her researching property seizure laws land titles. And as she gets to know Bas better, her instincts tell her the congressman and his aid are not what they pretend to be. And her dilemma becomes whether to follow her instincts and her heart, putting her future in law in jeopardy, or to stay within her contractual confidentiality obligations.

I received an ARC for an honest review

Abby is studying law and waiting for the day she can move out of the trailer park she grew up in and live a life she's always wanted. Taking an internship at the local level firm is huge but is it more than she bargained for?
Bas is the alpha leader and also a big name in the Wild Lakes community. But he is about to lose some of his packs land to a sleezy congressman and his henchman, who happens to be another wolf.
Abby and Bas' lives intercept and soon become more than she ever expected or wanted. Her struggle to be ethically responsible in her internship or divulging information to Bas has her struggling. As things heat up between the two her future is put on the line.

I loved every second of this book. The way Bas and Abby interact is relatable and fun. The development of the story keeps you riveted to the pages to see what happens next and the way the author builds suspense makes this a great read. I can't wait for more

New Author.. New series... Read alone or in order of series... I've not read any others books from Kimber I will be in the future, this was a adventure of the mind, it was stimulating, I found the character development wonderful. I found I was drawn in right from the start and it was very hard to put down. The sexual tension was jumping of the pages and our Alpha Sebastian or Bas was pure dominance and sexy as sin his aura was alluring and even from the pages you could feel his energy. His only wish is to protect his people till he meets Abigail Winslow or Abby. Thrown in at the deep end in an internship on her first day she meets a man that repels her, she scences danger and a man that from her first glacé she knows he's dangerous to her but oh does he make her shiver and wet. Can they together find common ground Abby and Bas. Can Bas save his people and will he be able to give himself to the one person that could destroy him and his way of life.

Kimber White has a wonderful way of telling her stories. Her werewolf world set in Wild Lake is fantastic. Her alpha werewolves have accomplished something most alphas don't do...they share a territory with each other. Each alpha is strong, sexy, smart, cunning, respectful, and each knows how to treat a woman. The Wild Lake wolves own and control a multi billion dollar company Wild Lake Outfitters together. Each alpha has his own pack and responsibilities. They have human friends they consider family that helps them. In Primal Heat, Bas discovers that someone is trying to take over pack lands from the human family that owns the land. Bas and Abby, the human law student he's fallen in love with, race to save the Wild Lake pack lands. Their story is wonderfully written. I look forward to reading more about the Wild Lake Wolves. I received an ARC for my honest review.

Abby Winslow is from the other side of the tracks, the poor side. She has worked hard to attend the great lakes university all on her own. Now she landed a intern job for Congressman Foster's office. But the job is not what she thought or as good has she had hoped.
Her first day on the job she meets a men that calls to her like no other has ever. Sebastian Lanier, he just happens to be the alpha of a pack of wolf shifters. That's not the only danger in and to her life now!
Love the mystery, drama & action in this storyline. I love the characters, the connection is there and it's so fun. The plot it fantastic I can't wait for the next book in the series

Wild Lake werewolves, a sexy werewolf businessman and a first year female law student.
When Abby comes to work for Congressman Forster District office, she is ecstatic about working with a top dog company. But rumors of the office don't help her, when going in for the first time and coming back out after a long day. Her bosses are shall we say are dogs. And Dale seems to be up to something but what? It starts to slowly make some sense when the handsome but angry Bas aka Sebastian Lainer comes storming into the office. She knows of the Wild Lake wolves, who doesn't since she grew up in the area. But what will she do when Bas makes a move on her? Will she reject him? Or will she accept him for what he is and take the bite? But most of all can she help save the Wild Lake Wolves land?

I am always super excited to start reading a new paranormal series, and this book is one of the reasons why. I really liked the new paranormal world introduced to me in this book. It was one more open about weres, and that definitely made this book a lot more interesting.

Bas was not only a hot alpha, but he was also a rich businessman, something you usually don't see with alpha weres. I really liked how integrated he was into the real world as the rest of paranormal society was in this book.

Abby was a law-student who came from the rough side of town. She was determined and independent, and I loved that about her. Even when tempted by the hot Bas, Abby remained true to her goals and her life. I really, really enjoyed them both together, and this book.

Keeping Pack Lands Safe

Given this book for an honest review.

This is Bas's story he is trying to protect Wild Lake Wolf territory from greedy politicians He knows they will do anything to try and take the land but he underestimated how treacherous they would become.

This book does not disappoint just like the others in this series. Ms. White keeps the tension between the factions at a fevered pitch. You are introduced to three new characters in this book but only one is a wolf and I can't wait until his story is done.

The Wild Lake Wolves Series has a new book to add to it collection of great reads. Job well done Ms. White
