Definitely leaves you hanging, but in a good way!
Thank goodness the next book is out already. We meet new characters, and revisit some previous ones briefly. This is another good, quick read with some interesting twists and turns. I can't wait to read Grady's story next to see what happens. Read them in order, Harrison, Gavin and then Grady. The tiger story Sarge is apparently a prequel to these, but I haven't read it yet.
There was a bit more heat in this one, I thought., with a very good, tight story plot a and a good bit of action. Well worth the $0.99 price tag. You can get all 4 ( with the prequel) for just under $4. How can you go wrong if you like shifter stories with police twists and turns. Enjoy!

Short and Sweet
Loved reading about bear shifters. The story was short and sweet but it holds your attention from beginning to end. It has everything you want in a romance, action, drama, villains, and hot sexy scenes that are not over the top with awesome characters? A must buy, keep them coming, and so ready to read the next book in the series.

Our story picks up pretty much where the first one ended. Harrison has rescued Tasha from Purest Inc. and deposits her in Gavin’s car sending them off to a safe location for Tasha’s protection. (while each story in Undercover Bear can be read as a standalone story, there are connections to the other stories)
Tasha has been through the most frightening, humiliating torment of her life. She might be freed, but she certainly isn’t free – not with this handsome and admittedly hot detective driving her who knows where for her own safety. She could take care of herself, dammit. She didn’t need this man making rules with his soft, concerned voice. No she’d be better off on her own, and she’d make that happen at the very first chance she got. She was a tiger and she made her own rules.
The unhappy tension rolling off of the beautiful woman next to him was almost visible. Gavin had no idea what she’d been put through while captured by Purest Inc. – but he had a really good imagination. So he left her to her silence believing that once they got to the cabin she’d begin to feel safer with him. The attraction he’d felt toward her had surprised him, but then he mentally shut that aspect down. He couldn’t get involved with her while she was under his protection. He just knew that if he did open that door he would be distracted and miss something important in the necessity of keeping her safe. But he’d keep her alive and then when the danger was past he’d act on that attraction.
Unfortunately for Gavin’s resolve, Tasha’s nightmares had a different plan in mind one that involved comfort, passion and a lifetime.

"Gavin: Undercover Bear" By Terra Wolf is INCREDIBLE. The story line is well balanced and the plot is full of twists.
This story picks up after Harrison went undercover within Purest Inc. to rescue Tasha a tiger shifter. Purest Inc. is a company that had been kidnapping any kind of shifter they could and then experimenting on them, even to the point of cutting them up into pieces.
Harrison and Gavin are both cops. Harrison drops Tasha off on Gavin for protection duty. Tasha is extremely angry for three reasons. First, she had been held in a small cage for several months, unable to move around, not getting enough to eat and being experimented on. Second, now she was "free" but still held hostage even if it was for her protection. She did have more room, was fully feed and no one was experimenting on her anymore. Third, Tasha is A TIGER and can take care of herself.
Gavin doesn't quite know what to do with Tasha. She has nightmares every night. He goes into her room to try and help her to wake up and calm down and he lets her know that he will keep her safe.
In trying to keep Tasha from taking off (as she has threatened to) Gavin decided that she needed to get out of the cabin so they started taking daily walks to the river or the lake. Either way it was helping Tasha to calm down some. During this time they spent a lot of time getting to know each other and had become very close. Tasha had begun to trust Gavin. Within the second week things had become passionate between Tasha and Gavin.
Gavin receives a call from Harrison one morning telling him to get Tasha out of the cabin immediately! There has been a leak with-in the top of the Witness Protection Department and they may have only 30 minutes. Gavin ran back to the bedroom and hustled Tasha around to go. They only grabbed the most important items and left the rest. They couldn't take a chance on Tasha being re-captured.
This is an extremely awesome book. Terry is always building layers within her story line to grab you and bring you into her world. I absolutely loved this Book.

Terra Wolf and Meredith Clarke have done a wonderful job with this series so far. This is the second book in the series and I so look forward to the next book. Though this is the second book in the series this can be read as a standalone. We did meet Gavin and Tasha in book one. I think it is funny that these two are ending up together. What a perfect couple.
Gavin is this handsome bear shifter that is a detective. He is assigned to keep Tasha safe. Tasha is supposed to testify against the Purest Inc. I cannot imagine the pain this will cause Tasha to have to relive those moments in her life.
Gavin is finding himself very attracted to Tasha. There is so much chemistry between the two. She is not an easy one to get to know. See, due to all that has happen and plus having the family she has it has caused trust issues. Gavin is going to have to figure out a way to gain that trust and it is not going to be easy.
Tasha is a tiger shifter who was kidnapped by the Purest Inc. Though her family did not have the purest attentions when it came to getting her out she was lucky they did. Her life is in danger, nightmare seem to wake her, and now here she is to put her life in someone else’s hands. This has to be truly hard for her. To feel she is going from one prison to the other.
Trust me when I say you will love this book. You cannot help but fall in love with Gavin and his tiger. I do hope to see more about them later on in the series. Want to know why? Well read the book and find out.

Better Than The First
Second book...CHECK! Gavin and Tasha scorch these pages. We met both of these characters in book 1. Gavin is an undercover cop who works with Harrison. He just got a feisty Tiger Shifter to protect and keep her alive. She has to give testimony as a witness in their biggest case ever. He does not know her whole story, but Harrison told him she has been through some deep stuff. Not only was she held prisoner and tortured, but her Uncle is one of the biggest mobster in the world. How do you protect someone who does not want to be protected?, someone who has been damaged along side with her animal...who is none the less a bleeping Bengal tiger shifter with purple eyes....who by the way...is his mate....whoa...is HIS MATE. What a mess!!!!
Tasha cannot believe that after she agreed to testify to have her life saved by Harrison she is now saddled with a bear shifter who thinks she cannot protect herself! After everything she has been through...She is still standing. And where is her safe house? ...in some man cave fishing cabin in the woods! She falls for him, but still does not tell him exactly what they did to her.
Someone gets cold feet at a very inopportune time.
I am glad I am reading these books back to back because if not ... I would not like their endings at all. So, to me it seems like all one long book.

Tasha is free of her attackers but under protection to keep her safe. She doesn't like being under the control of others. Gavin is a bear shifter and he is very attracted to the tiger shifter under his protection. He knows it is his job to keep her safe but he has personal feelings that are hard to ignore. Tasha is used to fighting and she gives him a battle he won't forget.
I enjoyed the story and the characters. It is a pretty quick read. There is an earlier story but you don't have to read it first. I have not read it yet and had no problem following along with the storyline. Tasha and Gavin have great chemistry and it is fun to see them deal with their feelings.

Who Wins -- Bear vs Tiger
This book is imaginative, full of drama and suspense, and is an interesting love story. The bear is Gavin and he is protecting a federal witness, a lady tiger, who is the victim. She was so abused that she has a difficult time trusting people. Within a few days, she has started trusting Gavin as well as falling in love with him. I definitely recommend this book to all. Enjoy!

I enjoyed Gavin's story. Guarding a broken tiger can't be easy but Gavin does a great job and is rewarded with her heart. Wished the ending was happier but hopefully they will have a better happy ending in the next books.

Tasha is a tiger shifter who was rescued from Purest. Gavin is a bear shifter, police detective who is also her mate. Tasha has to stay hidden until she testifies for the grand jury about Purest. Things don't go as planned. Great book. I love this series.

Liked the fact of more talk and more description. This pair makes great read! Book 2 needs children to liven up the drama and comedy.
