Selkies and werewolves and inter-dimensional portals and dinosaurs and a heck of a cliffhanger ending!

Read in Lumberjanes, Vol. 6: Sink or Swim.

A new camp counselor, Seafarin' Karen, works at the camp and has the girls working on their maritime badges.

#23 in the series. A storm causes problems for the Lumberjanes as they help Seafarin' Karen.

S.K. and the girls get caught up in a storm meanwhile Molly helps Bear Lady with those rogue portals.

Oh, and Ripley finds Mothra!

4 Stars, buy it for the series

The girls and the Selkies and Karen have sort of made up but now they are stuck in a storm. I forgot, Molly and Ripley are not with the others and are with the bear woman. Molly turns out to be super good at archery.

Anyway, this issue isn’t quite as good as the others in this story arc. It seems like a lot of filler that it didn’t really need to happen. I felt like they could have had more happen in this issue. But despite that it’s still very good and a worthy issue in the series.

Quotes:
“My nightmares are having babies with my other nightmares.”- Mal

Description from Amazon: Molly spends time with the Bear Woman to learn more about shape-shifters, and the girls finally have a plan to help Seafarin' Karen get her boat back!

Characters for my reference

April- Short red head girl
Jen- dark skinned camp counselor
Jo- tall kid
Mal: Dark haired girl with half shaved head
Molly: Blond haired girl
Ripley: Short brunet with headband around her head and blue streak in hair
Rosie- head of camp. Constantly calls Jen Jane. Very cool.
Diane- girl from another cabin at the camp, black hair Apparently the sister of Jo.
Bubbles- Molly’s raccoon hat who happens to be a live raccoon
Barney- Boy from boys camp that they run into a lot

Hey, things are picking up again! Getting more questions about the apparent time paradox surrounding the camp and the alternate dimension dinosaur land (wow this series must sound SO weird to people who don't read it), as well as some really nice character development time for Molly, who's such an interesting character to me. I'm very curious about her life back home and why she's so sad about the idea of going back. Also, glad to see that the lessons April learned in the last arc are carrying through to this one. Looking forward to seeing how this arc (and the many portals open) plays out!

Definitely hitting its stride again; the usual hijinks + Mal dealing with her fear of water and Molly facing tough choices about her future. Very interested to see how this arc resolves.
