Green, a cyborg warrior, cares for one being—his plant Windy. When Windy becomes sick, he’ll do anything to heal her, even venture across the universe to visit a worlds-renowned plant doctor.

He doesn’t expect to find love.

Doctor Shelby Cooper is the sole resident of a tiny planet. She prefers to be alone rather than risk caring for another being and then losing him. The curvaceous scientist is determined to resist Green’s patient caresses, his thought-burning kisses, his slow seduction.

It was short and funny. The yearning these cyborgs feels for a family is so sweet. Main characters were likable especially hero. And I came to know One of my favorite secondary characters from book 1 is dead along with his mate. It dimmed my joy in reading this series considerably 😒. Makes me feel insecure to love another characters as I’m afraid they will also die. Sometimes I’m silly like that.

Reading about all of these cyborgs finding their mates is so exciting! Finally free, Green cherishes the one thing that got him through his oppression - his plant, Windy. When she gets sick and no longer blossoms, he reaches out to a botanist for help. Shelby lives alone on a lush planet, stuck in the past, and scared to move on. Written communications are about all she can handle besides caring for her plants. But when Green reaches out in person, she finds it hard to refuse him or to deny the connection to him she feels. Meant for each other, these two quickly realize how forever they can be.

I'm absolutely in love with these cyborgs and watching each one of them get their happy endings is a thrill any reader can appreciate. Again, I adore the way the author creates her alpha cyborgs and how passionate and sweet they are to their mates. Finding a planet ripe for settlement, I can't wait to find out who else lands there!

Very short, very cute read about a botanist and a cyborg. A surprising amount of plant info (it helped make their very quick courtship work if you can believe it) and it made me want to read Barrel's book.

Safe read

😍😍😍😍❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

I’m sorry, but I just didn’t care about this book. I didn’t care about Windy or Green’s relationship with Shelby or any of the botany stuff. It was boring, ridiculously rushed, and I don’t even see the point of this book.

The previous books I've read in this series have leaned toward the darker end of the spectrum. I enjoyed them, don't get me wrong. I'm just pointing out that this book is much more light-hearted. Much. No blood or death to be found.

Green is a gentle warrior. He's dedicated to the plant that helped him hold onto his sanity when he was forced to fight. He's NOTHING like Shelby imagined a cyborg to be. For her part, Shelby's caught in the past, but it's not necessarily in a bad way. The planet she's nurturing is testament to that. While her desire to run and hide from the rest of humanity has a few downsides (no contact with others wears on a person after a while, you know), she's the perfect foil to Green.

They're kinda ridiculously sweet together. I totally have a soft spot for abused cyborgs finding their happy place and this book hit the spot.

Sweet

And quick read. Loved Green and his Botanist love. Only thing I disliked is the cover. It’s a pet peeve of mine. He is described many times as gray and his NAME is Green. Will read more by author

This had been a very cute short story with no drama and had a nice flow. The characters are captivating in itself. I wouldn’t say that this is an insta-luv book since Green and Shelby kind of connected through their mails.

I would recommend it to everyone who is looking for a breather, with no angst. This had only 4 chapters that some might find it lacking but for me it was enough. Green as the hero and a character was kind of refreshing. Both of them in a way are perfect for each other.

Short and perfectly sweet

I loved Green and Windy in book 1 of this series and reading about him finding his Shelby was so great! The story was short and sweet, and violence free, which suits Green perfectly. I loved every single word ❤️ 🌱

I flew through this short little story in about 30 minutes during my lunch break. Though it was published fifth in the Cyborg Sizzle series, I saw that it is designed it to be read after the first full length novel, so here I am.

It was… ok. The hero is Green, the cyborg with an attachment to his plant, Windy. His heroine, Shelby, is a botanist who is the only person who lives on a tiny planet dedicated to various flowers and plants. She has cut herself off because everyone she has ever loved has been killed and she is trying to protect herself from future pain.

To call this insta love would not do the speed in which these to find their way together justice. Green had decided Shelby was his female before he even laid eyes on her. And she was fantasizing about him based on email exchanges as well. You’ve Just got to go with it.

Though I understand Green has led a terrible life with very little light in it, his attachment to his plant was a little weird for me. There’s nothing really in the way of character development or a chance to really invest in the romance. But it was a quick and otherwise entertaining read. A free supplemental for the series. Kind of like bonus material.

(A tiny review for a tiny novella.) I’m still not sure how I feel about the series.

Being Green with Shelby

This was a quick but enjoyable read. Shelby is on a little planet, Earth Minor, alone.
She was responsible for maintaining and cataloging the plants she has planted and
cared for. Green had contacted her because his plant and friend Windy wasn't growing
well, something was wrong with her. Being a botonist and her study of ancient plants
caused Green to contact her, but he was also drawn to her. Green decided to go to
Earth Minor with Windy in hopes Shelby could help his plant and to see Shelby in the flesh.
Things didn't quite go as planned, Shelby wasn't expecting Green and feared attack when
she heard his single occupant ship.
The unexpected happens and Shelby needs to save Green's life, and in doing so, connects
the two.
Much more happens but I read the book, I am not rewriting it.
Do one click Being Green, I am sure you will enjoy the relationship that developes between
the human Shelby, and the Cyborg, Green.
I can assure you that there is a HEA in the end.

Adorably sweet and touching

I had read the first book in the series,Releasing Rage, which was a full length novel. That was also a freebie, much darker and more intense including violence misogyny and rape.I believe it was handled well...with kid gloves..but others complained.Book one also edged into topics such as racism, scientific advancement and biometrics and such, inequality and enslavement, torture, abuse of power and ultimate vengence, but at it's heart was a beautiful love story about overcoming fear and learning trust in the worst of conditions

Being Green (Cyborg Sizzle book 5) by Cynthia Sax

A sweet little novella length addition to this wonderful series by Cynthia Sax. Characters are engaging and endearing qualities that will have you wanting them to get their HEA together and each new addition adds to the building of her storyline but can be standalone but I'm recommending that you enjoy them all!!!💓💓💓💓💓

Cute story. I was thinking though that with a food shortage and there being food on Earth Minor wouldn't a cyborg put that together but maybe that'll happen in future books. I wonder if we'll find out if there's something special about Windy?

He's Sure She's It

This is a quick sweet read about a cyborg and his plant. His plant is sick and he's only found one person who could possibly save her. Now he has to convince her to help both, his plant and him. Enjoy I did.

Go Green

Green, one of Cynthia Sax's cyborgs may be my favorite so far. He's loyal, steadfast and determined to claim his mate. Looking forward to future stories about the cyborgs.

I loved Green and am glad he got Windy some help and found his own human. Earth Minor may need a few more cyborgs to help out!

Green one of the Cyborgs who revolted against the Humanoid Alliance in Releasing Rage took his plant Windy with him when they left the battle station. She is not doing well and he has been communicating with an old earth plant specialist. Dr. Shelby Cooper is the sole inhabitant of Earth Minor. She prefers her plants to people and has no desire to share her life with anyone else. Green tracks her location and takes Windy to her without her knowing he is coming. This short story is about whether Green can convince Shelby to care for another being again.

I liked this short story it was definately a lighter read than the first book in the series. I look forward to seeing how the rest of the series unfolds.

So adorable

Green and Shelby are so adorable and this is the cutest short story in the cyborg sizzle series. it takes about an hour or so to read and will make you laugh, smile sigh and just plain old fall in love. And sometimes that's just what you need after a long day and a before you close your eyes read. Green calls in love with Shelby just from reading her notes on how to care for his beloved plant Windy. When nothing seems to work Green hunts her down and he's her tho save his plant and when he sees her all bets are off. He's never going to Laverne love of his life of the plant who saved his sanity. Enjoy this little interlude I sure did.😍

Sometimes you just want to get away from everyone and everything

Green is a Cyborg whose life took a turn for the better we he and 600+ other Cyborgs escaped the Human Alliance... but he hasn't attained all a free Cyborg dreams of.

Shelby has reacted to a past scarred by war and loss...and to get surprise it may take a warrior to help her find the courage to believe in the future.

I have only read one of the previous stories in this series, and enjoyed this as a solid, stand alone, done in one, quick read.

The author's cyborgs are very determined men. Determined to always live through whatever they're forced to deal with--and determined to find and secure the love of the woman that's meant for them. And they always know when they've found her. It usually takes a while to convince her that this large, gray-skinned male is the one they've been destined for.

This was an okay addition to the series. It's a free read, and maybe that's why. But Green is a patient, understanding lover--and for the heroine, that's just what she needs.

Green is a cyborg who just wants a quiet life. Shelby is a botanist who lives alone on a planet. They begin a correspondence because of Green's ailing plant. He believes Shelby is to be his and just has to convince her of that fact.

This wasn't terribly but being the 5th in a series I just felt like I was missing a lot. I liked Green but I felt Shelby was a little too erratic and emotionally immature for my liking.
