Reviving Heaven

Rate this book
When Lily Cooper’s rock band, Quantum Rock, finally make it big and storm the charts with their debut hit, Lily finds herself touring with her parents’ group, Room 103, and thrown into the limelight overnight.
It’s from then that Lily’s life starts to spiral out of control. It soon becomes clear that not everyone is happy with Lily’s success, and when Lily begins to receive death threats, her father, Jax, decides it’s time she had some protection.
Cue Harrison Cole, an ex-SIS agent, now with the difficult job of guarding a defiant, feisty, smart-mouthed rock chick that doesn’t want an overbearing bodyguard, even if her life does depend on him, literally.
Lily tries to slip from under Harrison’s strict, domineering watch at every opportunity, leaving Harrison not only frustrated but with a job that is proving to be more challenging by the minute.
And when things take a sinister turn, it’s time for both Lily and Harrison to deal with ghosts from their pasts, as hard as they are to face.

This book contains scenes of an explicit sexual nature and self-harm issues. Recommended 18+

The Room 103 gang is back and with a Bang! Lily is the lead singer for the band Quantum Rock. She is Jax & Eve’s daughter. Quantum Rock are home from a six month tour after finally hitting it big. However, Lily’s homecoming isn’t as welcoming as she had hoped when she has a break in by a stalker. Her father hires an ex special agent, Harrison Cole, to be Lily’s security 24/7. When the threats against Lily intensify will Harrison be able to keep her safe while slowly falling for her? Will secrets from both their pasts cause a rift in her protection? A great romantic suspense that keeps you guessing. This is told in dual POV and can be read as a standalone.

3.5 Stars!

This book is like a high that you feel sick about and still want more. Sidebottom as always, knows how to make you cringe, want, need, madness. Madness!

WTF did I read? I'm not entirely sure I love it, I'm not entirely sure I hated it. Somewhere in the middle I guess. Let me try to sum this up.

What in the What? Okay. So, this story is based about a rock band... I didn't get the rockstar vibe I wanted, yet there was Lily; who knocked my socks off with Philly. I can't say much about that. The feels that happened made this a 4 star read. I'm completely conflicted with this story, I think Sidebottom had about three stories wrapped into one. I wanted one look into the romance, one look into the Bratva, one look into the rock band. Maybe I wanted too much, maybe I didn't. Too much happened for this to be a standalone, I'm almost certain. God, I hate saying it, but two, maybe three books would be the characters and story growth.

This book is ADHD and I couldn't stop reading it.

Reviving Heaven (Room 103, Book 5)
by DH Sidebottom

☆☆☆5 stars☆☆☆

The gang is back and oh how they've been missed! The chaos and shenanigans ensue, like we knew they would, even years later. This time around it's Jax's daughter Lily, in the middle of the mix, and she's going to need all their support and love.

She's followed in her famous father's footsteps, but being in the public eye, has created enemies. Enemies that want a piece of her and will stop at nothing to get it.

Lily's had mounds of trouble in the past, which has caused quite a few demons, but thinking she was in the clear was the wrong decision, knowing your demons have a way of sneaking up on you. Enter, Harrison, her new bodyguard and shadow.

Harrison has a job, one he takes very seriously, but what happens when you fall for the person you're suppose to be protecting? He knows he should keep clear of Lily, in the romantic sense, but his head and heart are waging war. Not to mention, he has some demons of his own to face.

Can they save each other, mending their broken hearts and shattered minds? Getting Lily's life back will be a challenge, one they will face together. LOVED IT!

Loved this book. The boys are back and this book doesn't disappoint, if you have read the Room 103 series; you will LOVE this and is a must read.

Lily is Jax and Eve's adopted daughter and the lead singer with Quantum Rock. This feisty little rock star has many problems that are deep seated and effects her in many ways but she puts a cover on for people and a big smile on her face that hides her pain. After touring for six months she is back home but threats from an anonymous source are threatening her sanity and her safety. Enter Harrison - ex SIS hired by Jax to protect her and be her round the clock bodyguard. From the start sparks fly between them and the bickering and banter they share was great to read. Harrison also has secrets he holds close to his chest and between the two of them can they heal each other, or will their world be blown apart.

Dawn always knows how to get the best out of her characters and that always stands out when you read one of her stories. A great read with amazing characters, twists, turns and angst galore - one not to be missed !!!

*sigh* i missed these boys 😍
Right admittedly i struggled with the first part of the book, not because of the book but because i was rusty, it's been a few years since i first read The Room 103 boys, nearly 4 to be exact so i had to try and refresh myself, i could of re read but i like to challenge myself apparently. Anyway! Holy fudge! Jax.. Boss.. Bulk and Romeo.. *sigh* i still love them.. they've moved on with their lives and I'm so happy they are happy!

Lily, she was such a complex character, you love her and feel for her with all the crap she goes through, she's stubborn to a fault and mouthy and knows how to stand up for herself.

Harrison, corr sometimes he needed to be flicked on the forehead. Like sometimes i was just sat there shaking my head. Don't get me wrong he's a damn good character but some of the things he says to Lily leaves me like, dude? Seriously?!

*sigh* (alot of sighing for me)
I loved it. It took me a few days to read because i didn't want it to end and life happened but damn.. *sigh*

“To freedom. To friends. And to God damn motherfucking ROOM 103!”

Lily Cooper, the daughter of Jax and Eve, has just triumphed with her own band, Quantum Rock. And although she is delighted, she also has her own demons to face. As her mother she has a tendency to harm herself to fight stress and her nightmares. Lily still tries to overcome the 2 weeks she spent kidnapped when she was 14, where she suffered numerous abuses. Besides, she is now receiving threats, they even enter her house and kill her cat. That’s when his father Jax decides to hire Harrison, former SIS, to ensure the safety of his daughter.
Lily initially opposes the idea, but ends up giving in. Harrison becomes her shadow, and although she doesn’t want to, he also becomes her confidant. Harrison is investigating the threats as well as the case of Lily’s abduction, and begins to discover things that do not add up.
Harrison starts having trouble seeing Lily as one more job.
“She was stubborn, feisty, and a nightmare to shadow, always vanishing right from under me. But it was her funny quirks, her humour and, I’ll admit, the fact that she was easy on the eye that had made those hours almost bearable.”
“What was it with Harrison, that every time I thought we were getting closer and the chemistry between us was about to give off sparks, did he up sticks and fuck off!”
“I wanted Lily Cooper more than I’d ever wanted anyone before. I’d never needed this kind of connection before, and as much as I wanted to act on it, I knew I could never give her anything more.”

The threats that Lily receives go far beyond those of a crazy fan. They have to do with her biological family and it is to freak out.
Also, after having amazing sex with Harrison and start to date him, she discovers that he has been keeping very important secrets and 💔.

I would love to continue reading about the rest of the band Quantum Rock:
Parker West, AKA Cage on account of his cage fighting ‘hobby’, was the drummer in my band.
Tap, Drake Sharp, bass for Quantum, nicknamed Tap after how much ass he tapped. Although Tap was a wild one in the bedroom, he was the more serious of the guys in the band. He weighed things over and over until he knew they made sense and would work out.
Knight, AKA Sebastian Knight, lead guitarist for Quantum Rock, best friend of Lily, her protector and confidant.
And possibly also about the rest of the children of Room 103( Boss have 5).

The boys are back in town.
I loved the Room 103 series and was so excited to hear that there would be another book in this series.
This book drifts from the boys focusing on Lily Cooper, adopted daughter of Jax and Eve.

Lily the lead singer in up and coming rock band Quantum Rock, and her band mates, Knight Tap and Cage are finally hitting the limelight as their new single hits the charts. After accompanying Room 103 on a reunion tour, Lilly’s life takes a turn for the worse when she starts to get threats. Being the protective father he is Jax employs the best security. Enter ex SIS agent Harrison Cole, they bicker constantly but are stuck together until Lily is no longer under threat. The pair both fight their attraction to each other and Harrison's job is to keep Lily safe.

Lily is such a strong character and I wouldn’t expect less as DH always has a kick a$$ female. The chemistry between these two was sizzling hot and Harrison defiantly has the hot dominating vibe going on. With a hell of a twist I didn’t spot this new instalment was a great addition and I hope to hear more from Quantum Rock.
Lily's band mates need their own stories...hint hint please. Knight reminded me a little of boss with his caring closeness towards Lily I hope to hear his story in the future.

3.75 stars from me!

I was looking forward to reading this book because of the guys from Room 103. Although this is part of the series it can be read as a standalone because the main character is Lily the adopted daughter of Jax and Eve. She's grown up and is now a rising pop star with her own band. It was great to see the boys again but they only made a minor appearance on this book as this story is all about Lily and her bodyguard Harrison.

I am not so keen on Harrison, although this guy is devoted to his daughter from his ex wife, he's got a lot going on in his head. He and Lily have great chemistry I must admit but this book in my opinion has too many subplots it would have been better to write separate novellas with the storyline.

I still enjoyed the fast paced romance, the suspense and the camaraderie of Boss, Bulk, Romeo and Jax when they get together. It's like high school reunion with the rock stars. A lot of fun, chasing the bad guys and sizzling sex!

If you loved the Room 103 series this book is a must!
Lily Cooper is Jax and Eve’s adopted daughter, she is also the lead singer of Quantum Rock.
After gaining a hit record and spending 6 months on the road as 103’s supporting act, Lily returns home to a series of threats.
For Lily’s safety Jax employs Harrison Cole, ex SIS, although Harrison’s protection fails at times he finds himself caring deeply for Lily, and uncovering secrets that she tries to hide from everybody.
He also unearths lost police files, unanswered questions and knows that the threats on Lily go deeper than he first thought.
D H Sidebottom never fails to deliver an amazing book full of twists and turns with lots of angst.

The gang is back in a new story in the Room 103 series. This story revolves around Lily, Jax's daughter and lead in Quantum Rock. Lily is struggling with her past and what is happening to her in present day. Harrison is the guard hired to watch over her. What happens when Lily's life is in danger? Will Harrison be able to piece together the puzzle to figure out who is taunting Lily? Truths will be revealed, will they break Lily? Reviving Heaven is sexy, gripping, intriguing and mysterious. It's one crazy ride with some really clever twists. I really enjoyed this book. This is a must read series in the rock romance genre.

Everything I had hoped it would be and more. This is the story of Lily. Jax and E's daughter. If you've read the Room 103 series, you know who I'm talking about, if you haven't this can be read as a standalone. Lily has chosen the same career path as her parents and when she is threatened, her parents step in and hire security for her. OMG hot, moody, alpha security!!! They both have secrets and are very guarded. Loved the way this story played out and was so happy to see old characters make appearances now and then. As usual this author gives us it all. Laughter, anxiety and suspense.

I was hesitant in reading this as I really enjoyed the first few books and something about revisiting a series later on puts me off - but I really enjoyed this. The glimpses of the old crew in the future were really enjoyable as well as the story.
