Counted Cross Stitch Pattern: "The Horned Poppy Fairy" by Cicely Mary Barker: Flower Fairies

Rate this book
"The Horned Poppy Fairy" by Cicely Mary Barker is one of the famous "Flower Fairies" and is now available as a counted cross stitch pattern. We have been faithful to Ms. Barker's background colors but we are currently stitching two of the designs and stitching the fairies and plants on a colored cloth, rather than filling in the background colors. The pattern uses 18 colors and is 142 squares wide by 100 squares high. All codes are for DMC floss. You can choose from two formats: stitching by symbol or with a color chart. ENLARGE OUR PATTERNS: You don't have to worry about size with our patterns! It's sometimes tough to see your pattern on a Kindle or tablet so we have made it possible to make your charts as LARGE as you wish - see our patterns on a 21" computer monitor and a 48" TV screen. No more squinting and straining at a tiny screen.

Cicely Mary Barker was the illustrator who created the famous Flower Fairies; those ethereal smiling children with butterfly wings. As a child she was influenced by the works of the illustrator Kate Greenaway, whom she assiduously copied in her formative years. Her principal influence, however, was the artwork of the Pre-Raphaelites.
