squeakyclean is romance and historical fiction set in Montreal in 1997, during the events leading up to the ice storm that crippled the city.


Jonathan Sprung learned his craft at Concordia University in Montreal, studying joint honors in English and Creative Writing, and later in independent theater. He has participated in Montreal performance collectives such as PRETEXTE and The Mea Culpa Collective. At various times in his life he has acted, produced plays and cabarets, managed the stage, flown airplanes, operated tower cranes, painted works of art, planted trees in the north, and more recently represented a labor union as Business Representative. Squeakyclean was his first novel.
