Take the fear out of your interview and never be stuck for the right answer to even the toughest questions with The Interview Question and Answer Book.
Pretty thorough, helped me cinch an interview or two but not all of them, about as good as these sort of books get although there are one or two lines I disagree with Innes on.
I’d award this book a 2.5/5 because although I found it quite helpful, there were just too many questions that were basically the same that I skimmed through. And yes, I did expect that because it says there are going to be a lot.
What’s helpful about this book is that it’s written very simply and with a common layout. The question, an explanation for why it’s asked, how to plan for it and an example. The examples in particular are very useful because you can compare your own. The first ten questions were all helpful to me, but then I skipped many of the following ones because I knew I would be asked questions with a particular focus, so I looked for those. The really hard questions and the weird ones were interesting to test out but I just don’t see the interviewers for the jobs I’m applying for asking them. I went from 25% of the book read to 85% very quickly. Thus, I can’t give it a higher score. It could have been a lot shorter.
But, it was useful and I would recommend it to others. It’s also the only such book I’ve ever read so...
