What a hilarious festive read this turned out to be - I loved it!
It has a great recipe with two brilliant lead characters:
Minnie - A beautiful model who is the naive, very protected daughter of a criminal motorbike club leader
Big Mike - An ex-Special Forces Soldier who is also an ex member of a rival motorbike club and her boyfriend.
Christmas is coming. Minnie is going home to spend the festive season with her Dad. She’s looking forward to it - until she discovers that her Dad has invited Big Mike to go with her. Now she’s worried. Mike keeps people safe, he’s a protector and will fight for those he protects. However, against the members of the motorbike club, will anyone stand a chance?
Minnie has been protected by her Dad, who effectively banned any of the club members from having anything but a very platonic and protective relationship with her . . . but now he’s removed that ban, though Minnie knows nothing about it. Get ready for some really funny interactions as her Dad, her psycho brother and three club lieutenants try to lure Minnie away from Mike and Mike keeps on trying to protect her without hurting any of the others! Can he stop himself hurting them as the lieutenants make a play for his woman? Of course not! However, how will Minnie react when she finds out? Will she still love him more than his competition? Can he win over her Dad so he’ll accept him as her boyfriend?
Whilst this is a short festive read, it is also well constructed, a laugh out loud page turner and delightfully hilarious romance that is brilliant to escape into. I have read the story of the main characters meeting in On the Run On The RunI suspect that you’ll need to have read that first to really appreciate this story, however I’ll just say again that I loved it - hope anyone else reading it does, too!

Big Mike and Minnie are back!!! And they are coming in Christmas season.
This one was quick and funny read. You need about one hour to read it and you enjoy every second of it.
Minnie is going home for Christmas and she will miss Mike, but that is okay. Better miss him when he is alive, then miss him when he is dead. Because he would be if he goes with Minnie to her home in California.
But here comes surprise!! Big Mike got call from Minnie's dad (Snake) so now he needs to go with Minnie.
Best Christmas ever!!

Minnie is going home for Christmas. Her father has heard of her relationship with Big Mike and decides if Minnie is ready to marry it will be to one of his gang members, not an outsider.
Big Mike is not letting Minnie out of his sight, so goes with her to meet her biker father for the first time.
This story is endearing and hilarious. Big Mike tries his best to follow Minnie’s request for no fighting while the other bikers vie for Minnie’s attention with hilarious outcomes. With someone knocked out with a frozen goose and another taken to hospital with buckshot in his behind there is never a dull moment when Minnie is around.
Cooked Goose is a Christmas novella I received a few months ago via Netgalley. It somehow slipped my radar but it’s a fun short read for any time of the year.

This little novella of Big Mike and Minnie was so freaking cute and fun. I loved this couple when I first met them but had forgotten about this little morsel until about a week ago. I didn’t need to do a reread of On the Run in order to follow this. These characters are unique and hilarious. I loved getting this look into Big Mike’s first meet with Minnie’s dad. The fact that he couldn’t keep his promise not to pound on someone added to the hilarity of the story.
If you haven’t read book 1, you’re really missing out and I urge you to read it, read this one and then dive into Bend the Rules which is definitely my favorite of the three!

Good Christmas story - very funny and actually, cute!
The characters are exaggerated and somewhat 2 dimensional, but heartwarming, in a way.
I think this would make a good animated Christmas show on Cartoon Network.

Super cute spin-off to ON THE RUN
It was cute and simple. Minnie, of course, is a little superficial, and it's a good thing Big Mike can tolerate that.

An absolutely charming and quirky holiday story...the author's ability to create humor with personality out of hardened men is a gift that is brilliant and hilarious! This is a wonderful follow up to the first book in the series, On the Run, which was a completely engaging story. Seeing the aftermath of Big Mike (now a.k.a. Goose) and Minnie's escapes, in a familial holiday setting, is truly rewarding. Just when you didn't think Minnie needed any further protecting...this is what happens when her father lifts the ban on any of his men dating his daughter...hilarity ensues, Minnie and Big Mike style.

Minnie’s father is the head of an outlaw motorcycle gang in California. When Minnie was young, her father kept the outlaw ‘lieutenants’ away with strict orders: they could protect her but Not touch her.
Minnie became a super model and moved to New York where she could live her life without her unusual family. Minnie’s brother, Crash, is a bit on the wild side. He knew Mike in the army and introduced Minnie to Mike. She is crazy about the 6’6” hulking, ex-military man who now runs a security business.
Minnie’s father, Snake, unexpectedly invites Big Mike to join them for Christmas. Minnie is fearful that Snake will take Mike into the desert to kill him for being with daddy’s ‘little girl’. Mike is willing to take his chances and promises that he won’t fight anyone. Really – it takes a lot to rile him.
When the pair arrive in California they discover that Snake has also invited three of his lieutenants and removed the earlier restrictions. These circumstances may just lead to situations that rile Big Mike – at least a little.
The entire story is a hoot! The handling of the ‘competition’ by Mike and Minnie is hilarious! The characters are very likeable and the story plot is complete even for a short novella. Maybe it isn’t great literature—but it sure is quick, fun entertainment. This does not need to be limited to Christmas reading although the setting fits the fun. To quote Crash “Best Christmas ever!” I would like to try a longer story by Ms. Kelly. I highly recommended this for readers who want quick laughs and smiles.

This was funny. I enjoyed it. I didn't like how Minnie kept referring to Big Mike as a "four", though. Repeatedly. It didn't bother him, but it bothered me.

What a laugh out loud short story. This is a continuation in the Big Mike and Minnie saga. Big Mike goes home for Christmas with Minnie. This is not your normal spend time with the family story. This is not a normal family. This is a biker club family. Minnie sees the members as big brothers almost she has grown up with. They see her as something they want. Especially with her father retiring soon. They underestimated Big Mike. Her brother Crash didn't. That's why he invited him. He knows he will keep the vultures from his sister and also gave him a chance to win over their father Snake.
This book had me cracking up the whole way through. The things that happened. And Minnie drunk is super funny. Crash is still my favorite. Big Mike and Minnie don't disappoint. Their connection is still so strong and they kept me swooning and laughing out loud at the same time.
Get ready for "the best Christmas ever."

It is a sequel, I must read now the previous book.

This book is a pure roar of laughers on steroids.
How Big Mike will put down each suitor Minnie’s father has selected is hilarious.
So if you want to ride your mood, jump in this crazy Christmas story.

An amusing novella about an underwear model, Minnie and her large, brutish looking boyfriend, Big Mike who go home to her father's house for Christmas. The story revolves around her dad and his MC club lieutenants and how Big Mike has to defend his territory (Minnie). Big Mike is very competent in protecting his girlfriend but has to endear himself to her father. A humourous book describing how Big Mike copes with the opposition he encounters. A quick enjoyable read.

This was a great intro into the Lethal in Love series. Minnie and Big Mike are adorable as they traverse the first meeting with her dad...the Prez of an MC who wants his daughter to come home and settle down with one of his Lieutenants. I don't know how many times I snickered throughout this quick holiday read. I'll be checking out the rest of the books in this series!

I read this as it was listed on here as a prequel (before it was corrected). It's not a prequel. That being said, I thought it was one of those prequels that just jumps into things, so didn't really think much of it. I understood enough of the characters to know what was going on. I suspect things would make more sense if I read it after book #1 though. Oh well.

Cooked Goose is funny, full of gaudy and espirited characters that are together to spend Christmas to collect a prize - Minnie - but she is taken by Big Mike, and whether her father - Snake - approves or not, there'll be lots of amusing situations for the reader to laugh. It's a short, easy, and most enjoyable read!

So far this series has been a hoot! So funny and the characters are delicious. Big Mike is invited to accompany his girlfriend Minnie to her father's home for Christmas. Her father is head a west coast biker gang and plans to marry her off to one of his lieutenants so the invite is to either kill him or scare him off. Big Mike loves his woman and plans to keep her, so let the games begin!

Glad it wasn't the usual story line.. Mike stayed ok his own path and didn't get caught up back into the biker world just for the girl. Which honestly I don't think Minnie would have appreciated anyway. Would like to have read some more, but we get what we get and nothing more I guess .. overall likes the story and the length was perfect.

Enjoyable.
This is a very cute and fun story. Christmas in the home of the head of the biker club that engages in illegal activities can be a challenge. Big Mike seems to handle it well. All for the love of his crazy girlfriend, Minnie. This was real!y fun.

This book takes going home with the girlfriend to meet her family to a whole different level. There were some funny, almost slapstick moments along with some sweet moments between Minnie and Big Mike. Although it was a very quick read, the story was fully developed.

I liked the storyline and loved big Mike and Crash. I didn’t think much of Minnie talking about how beautiful she is all the time and was pretty disgusted that she rated big Mike as a FOUR to his face and in front of others. What. The. Heck??
