Excellent guidance but many organizations and the supervising employees within them either do not conduct performance evaluations at all or if conducted don't do them in a way that identifies work plan goes, fairly evaluates past performance, positively grows employee performance, accurately sets objectives for correcting performance issues, and motivates high performers to continue to excel.
This book is full of examples and includes Q & A review questions at the end of each section. Very helpful in understanding the process of writing evaluations and setting goals. Reminds me keep goals Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant, and Time-focused. (S.M.A.R.T.)
