What can I say about this book!? I laughed. I cried. I enjoyed. Wait, that's not true. I didn't cry. Swoon? Check. Giggle? Check. Want a little bit of my own pay back on these evil B- words? Check check! Those sexy 6 just keep on getting sexier! Oh and guess what! Sam! You know Silent Sam? Well, dude can talk! Real sentences! This book was amazing. Everything I've come to expect from Jaymin and what I'm starting to expect from Leia. ( no offense, I just haven't read all your books yet) the twists and turns this book took made me so mad and shockingly excited!! That ending though!!! From about half way through I kept shouting ( in my head of course) "DONT TRUST HIM!! He is acting super sketchy!!" Well, I was wrong!! I'm thinkin maybe we have another Ryder/ favorite jacket type situation? Hmmm maybe?? I don't know. I'm rambling. BUY. THIS. BOOK.

The biggest question I had going into this, which maybe some of you were asking also? Will this elusive Carter show up in this book? Will he try to help out his daughter? Or will he just be a jerk head and leave her to fend for herself?! Well ladies and gents I can tell you

That I can't tell you!

Oh and before I forget! As promised

GO OUT AND BUY THIS BOOK IMMEDIATELY BECAUSE IT WAS WRITTEN BY JAYMIN AND LEIA AND THEY ARE AWESOME!

The end.

Another unicorn? Great ending but so so book. Charlie & Jayden are annoyingly tedious with the, "Bitch, this and bitch that...." I love Ryder and the sexy six, especially Kyle. Lucas was definitely a surprise. He wants to be "cured" by Charlie. The vampires have to be more than evil. Their description is too one sided. I will read book 3 for more Ryder, but not a great series.

2 STARS for enjoyment.
3 STARS for writing.

I'm so disappointed.

If you read my review of book one in the Hive Trilogy then you know I LOVED it. So when I picked up book two I had high expectations and expecting complete awesomeness... but was very sadly let down.

To put it bluntly, it was boring AF.
Plus I had several other issues, mainly issues with Charlie and a few things with the story.

First off, nothing really happened. We spend the entire book with Charlie, Jayden, and the sexy six in The Hive while they pretty much do nothing but meet on the roof and talk about the same shit over and over. We do get one or two instances where they leave The Hive on calls and have to deal with bible thumbing humans, but even that was extremely boring. We get no exciting twists or turns. . . nothing.

And the one twist that I was dying for, the mystery behind Charlies dad. . . it was just as disappointing. He was lame. I expected with him being this supposed powerful "Original" vampire that he would come in kicking ass, or giving us some more twists or some info on Charlie, but no, we got nothing except her dad is a hot viking that has watched from afar her entire life but is too much of a pussy to protect his family or hell, even himself because apparently his original blood is sought after. I mean he allowed Charlie be taken by The Hive and put in the fucking Culling and he didn't even attempt to rescue her.

Plus after the build up and mystery of her dad we literally got like 4 pages of him and then he left with Charlies Mom.

Such. A. Let. Down.

And the romance.

Blahhhh.

In the first book I ate up the chemistry and sexual tension between Charlie and Ryder, it was building up to something explosive. . . well, it built up, but instead of an explosion we got a very tiny whimper. There is no sex scenes, the one there is was very lame and faded to black so we didn't really get anything and once Ryder and Charlie became "a thing" Ryder become increasingly boring and soft. His "badassness" disintegrated pretty quickly for me.

It was heartbreaking.

And lastly I was so annoyed and let down by Charlie. She wasn't as tough or badass in this installment and majority of the time I just wanted to throat punch her. I can't stand a martyr and Charlie has martyr tendencies. She was so fucking stupid. She knows not to say anything about her blood being the cure and yet when her friend was dying she just blurts it out like it was no fucking big deal. If she was smart she would've kept her damn mouth shut and when the doctors weren't looking, sneaked Tessa some of her blood. But no, Charlie doesn't use her head half the damn time.

The best part of this entire book has to be the last page. Before I read the last page I had already decided not to continue this series, this book was that boring. The romance was boring and soft and not exciting, just like the story, and I had to make myself finish it. However, that goddamn cliffhanger on the last page has me super curious so against my better judgment I guess I'll pick up book 3.

Anarchy is the 2nd book in the Ash trilogy.
I loved it!
Ash are the children of vampire fathers and human mothers.
And they are always male - until now.
Charlie Bennet is the first female Ash.

In the 1st book, Charlie has to earn her place in The Hive, the compound where Ash are forced to live.
In Anarchy, we learn more about Ash, the Hive, the rules Ash are forced to obey, and what douche-bags the vampires really are.
And Charlie is starting to get in their way.

I love Jaymin Eve's writing.
IMO she consistently delivers strong stories with equally strong female protagonists.
This story is co-written by Leia Stone, an author I'm not familiar with (yet).
The writing is seamless -- you cannot tell that it's written by 2 people.

The story is rich, inventive, unexpected and completely believable.

I would definitely recommend this series.

Anarchy is the second installment of the Hive Trilogy. In it, we get a smidge more drama than the first one. Of course, it was mostly revolving around people wanting to kill Charlie or finding out her inner secrets. But we also got some that involved Tessa.. the girl who chose a vampire she knew for like 3 second over her best friend - Charlie.

Honestly, not even surprised with what went down between Tessa and her. It was bound to happen but I did see a change in Tessa towards the end. So maybe there's hope for her in the next book. Maybe.

Other than that, we got a glimpse of her dad and mom being together. I'm happy that he's going to keep her mom safe because I don't trust the people running the hive at the moment. Some shady ass people in there and I just want Charlie and her found family of ashes to be safe and alive.

In the end, I was kind of hoping for something more to happen in this book. It didn't really matter if it was romance or action wise. I just wanted something else. What I got was a pretty quick engagement for Tessa. Which, I didn't want one freaking bit.

Let's see what the next book will give me.

I'm not totally sure why I struggled with reading this, but I just couldn't get excited about the story. We saw Charlie and Ryder get together, but their romance felt surface level and I didn't see the chemistry. I also couldn't stand her friend Tessa, she's either brainwashed or an idiot but either way I think Charlie should move on to better friends. Jayden is a much better BAFF and makes me laugh.

The ending did have a reveal that surprised me, though I think I'll skip the final book in the series. I have read some great books by Eve so I'm not giving up on her other series.

I will never get enough, I honestly could not set this book down, I laughed so hard I cried in some places, I was on the edge of my seat through out, this is truly another wonderfully seamless meld of Jaymin and Leia's abundant talent. If you Enjoyed the first, you will LOVE the second, and be itching for the third. I've selected a few of my favorite quotes to share with you guys enjoy the mini teasers.

1: "I was in a bit of a shock over how much Sam was saying. Today he channeling the love child of Chatty Cathy and Debbie Downer, With all of his ominous news and crazy insight. This was beginning to scare me."

2:"Striding to his side, I put on my best tough-unicorn face, leaning on the wall and crossing my arms."

3:"Jayden gave a nod when I said nail file." That's right," he said. "We get attacked, I will file a bitch."

So so ya with only the next morning scenes

I really hate te line "the next morning" without knowing how that hot night was. Was it good? How Did he look? What did you do?

Why skip it? It is not that is ya for kids right ?
Hate that i have to fill in the blanks. If i could do that i would have started writing books :(

I have no idea what to add here that hasn't already been said. Just the right amount of action, suspense and romance to keep it interesting, but not so much it stresses you out (because...that's a thing, you know...lol).
I have read a lot of vampire books and eventually STOPPED reading things about them because...they're all sort of the same. This is definitely a different twist on the whole vampire thing with the 'Hive'. Not so different you're like "what in the actual hell is this!??!" but different enough to be like, "ooh!"
The ending threw me for a loop and it's not easy to do that; usually I find things rather predictable! Nope!
All in all well written, funny...I dragged it out as long as I could; I didn't want it to end because I know 'Annihilate' won't be here for a few months
(and can we just talk about the awesome covers!?!?! DANG!!).
Can't wait to see where Charlie, Jayden (who doesn't love a 'BAFF'?) and the 'sexy six' end up in book three!! If you liked 'Ash', you'll definitely love 'Anarchy'!

3.75* good installment...a little to much of the hip, urban, internal dialogue. The plot moved ahead in the story, the slow burn romance advanced, enjoyable.

3 and 3/4 stars, rounded up. A solid little book (at about 230 pages, if I remember correctly), for being the middle-child of the trilogy. The secret that Sam was holding on to was one that I can honestly say I had not been expecting. The book closes with that awesome reveal, leaving us with our jaws hanging open - my grubby little paws are making grabby hands at the final book of the trilogy. The action was good, the pacing was good, we have been successfully set up for a full-scale rebellion. Worried that the final book will rush to resolve everything, seeing as how this book was so short, and there is a lot of ground to cover, but looking forward to it just the same.

I felt this books veered off a little from the first book, the premise was good with the culling but this book was a little boring plus all

FOMO
WTAF
FYI
BAFF

I hardly understood what was being said alot of the time, making the main MC Charlie about as likeable as unpaid overtime... No i think i will stop this series here.

Anarchy is the second book in the Hive trilogy and it does not disappoint. This book doesn't suffer from middle book-itis, oh no, it kicks as much ass as Charlie, Ryder and the rest of the Sexy Six do.

This book picks up right after the end of Ash and we've got the hot date between Charlie & Ryder to finally look forward too, but things don't go as planned, and how could they really for the Unicorn Ash?

I love the sass from Charlie, my favourite characters are always the ones with kickass comebacks, humour & faults. I love her relationship with Jayden, I want my own BAFF. Ryder comes out of himself more in this book and really shows that he's the leading man for me, sorry I meant Charlie and the sexy six...... well I feel like we all need them in our life. All of there characters grow and we start to see a bit more of the silent, brooding Sam, but not near enough and I have some big questions I still want answered.

I loved it and I can't wait for the final book, Annihilate to come out as even though this wasn't a massive cliff hanger ending, it still left me wanting to grab the next book and read straight away.

Well... Wow. I enjoy reading books by Jaymine. Strong lead characters, deep relationships, and a lot of humor, which separates her writing from a lot of other authors. The comedic touches make these books an entertaining read. Even when the book ends and makes you want more, it isn't a terrible cliff-hanger.

It is always difficult to go onto a new series after reading her novels.
This series by both Leia and Jaymine is really well thought out. The storyline is well planned and addicting as well as having something new and original to read about. It wasn't slow paced or tediously over explained like some books get.

I wasn't too excited with the amount of swearing, but it wasn't overwhelming. I also started to skim over the descriptions of ryder and his crew. Yes, they are hotties, and it's good to know the main characters thoughts, but with every look at them we were told about their attractiveness. It wasn't terribly over done.

Over-all this series is one of those that I read in one sitting. It is very hard to put down. I can't wait for more.

Thank you for the ARC

Holy shitballs, I'm in complete awe of Jaymin and Leia! I'm completely obsessed with yall (in a good way promise) and yall have outdone your selves once again. Charlie (I will name my daughter this) is kickass as ever! I love her strong, no fucks given, bad-assery about life in general. I love that Ryder and Charlie are officially a couple, there's action at every turn! I fell more in love with the sexy six and I'm mentally wracking my brain for actors for each character. That ending though.... its not a huge cliffhanger but a cliffhanger none the less!

Obviously I completely recommend this book, but if my cussing in the first paragraph offends, this book is probably not for you. But live a little! Can't wait for Annihalate and am so grateful to Jaymin and Leia for giving us fans a chance at putting us out of our misery early!

Book two in this series really ramped things up. There was more action, twists, danger, angst and romance. There was even (finally) some shenanigans between Charlie and Ryder (albeit non-descriptive shenanigans, but still).

Charlie's started to embrace her life as an Ash, especially since she was asked to work alongside Ryder and the guys. That means no more boring answering the phone job, way more excitement outside the Hive, and more time with the sexy six - which I was totally on board with.

But shits going down with the Vampires, and they're all in a world of shit. Book three looks to be pretty exciting, judging by how this book finished off, and I can't wait for more! I'm feelin' this one.

Closed door

Should've paid attention to the content warning, which doesn't include one for 'sexual scenes'. That's because there aren't any,it's all closed door. Some people will prefer that, but it's not what I expected. I need to go and reread the blurb because I'm sure it said something about needing more than one guy, and I had the idea it was a RH?
Otherwise, it's a great concept, and it's as well written as every other JE book, it's just not what I'm looking for right now.

They did it. AGAIN!!! Jaymin and Leia have written an amazing sequel that has left me screaming, crying, and laughing.

The whole book I was saying, "Don't trust Sam. He's hiding things." And he was hiding things, major things. But nothing that was bad. It was actually crazy amazing!!!

I loved our little unicorn and Ryder together. *sigh* so lovely.

Jayden was hilarious. And the sexy-six where of course, SEXY!!!

And we meet Charlie's Daddy.

Exciting

Ryder and Charlie really hit it off but unfortunately there isn't any sexy details about what goes on under the covers. Even so, the intrigue and drama keeps everything exciting. The most amazing part is what they found out about what her blood can do. I enjoyed every part of this story. All the supporting characters are explained more except for Sam. He is an enigma that will hopefully be answered in the next book.

Eh, it was alright. I don't feel like much of anything actually really happened and at some points the dialogue was a lacking but I will persevere through the third book.
