Soaring on Wings: The Story of Nick Vujicic

Rate this book
“Soaring on Wings. The Story of Nick Vujicic”, an unauthorized and independent biography of the world-known motivational speaker without limbs, is the first book in which you can find almost everything about Nick in just one place. Based on a thorough research, and written from a European perspective, it is an entirely new presentation of the man who is a giant soul in a tiny body. Having no arms and legs he has achieved more than any able-bodied person he has finished a college, he has founded two companies, he has appeared in a film, he has written a few books, he has recorded a few video-clips, he has “shaken hands with” numerous presidents and kings, and -as a speaker- he has visited over 50 countries with his humorous and inspiring speeches. Privately, Nicholas is a great sports lover and a family man with a beautiful wife and two sons.

“Soaring on Wings” consists of three the first one describes Nicholas' life in detail from his birth until the end of 2015, the second one is the speaker's characteristics (there are chapters his sense of humor, his unbelievable skills, his openness to others, his life of prayer) and the last one presents his motivational- Christian message for all walks of life.

Written for both young and mature, it informs, entertains and moves and, most of all, it gives a recipe for strong spiritual wings so that everyone, regardless of their circumstances, can “soar on wings” like Nick Vujicic does.

The book contains plenty of information that is not mentioned in any other biographies of this unique man, thus it will be interesting both to people who already know a lot about Nick as well as to those who have not heard much of him.

Margaret Stegenka, the author, is an ordinary lady, a working mother of four. She teaches English in a special needs school in Warsaw, and she never intended to write any books… until one day when she received a strong inner inspiration to create this particular publication. Her first reaction to the calling was a shock. She needed to battle with her thoughts for a while before she got down to writing. It seemed to her that she was not good enough for such a demanding mission. But in the heart she understood that this book would give its readers hope, and that was why she managed to overcome her numerous fears such as “who am I to write it?”, “whoever will want to read it?”, “I do not even know if I can write” or “what will Nick Vujicic think of me?”. In the process of writing the author grew stronger, and experienced powerful inner strength herself (this strength is one of the topics of her book).

Soaring on Wings has already been published in Poland in a traditional paper format and it has received a lot of very positive feedback from its readers.
