Gregory and Scarlett are back in the third and final installment of the Vengeful Love trilogy, and it's just as tumultuous as the first two books!
After pushing Scarlett Heath away for her own good, Gregory Ryans is lost with his woman now living and working in Dubai. Scarlett is devastated that Gregory couldn't open up, couldn't let her in, but their toxic relationship was slowly destroying every shred of who she was. When Gregory finally comes to his senses and gives Scarlett his heart and his world, things are finally RIGHT for the couple. Blissfully happy in their bubble, the real world seems far away and out of sight, until their past choices come back to haunt them. The couple will have to gather all of their strength as a team and stand as a united front if they're going to finally put their demons to rest.
VENGEFUL LOVE: BLACK DIAMONDS is the third and final story of Gregory and Scarlett's tumultuously erotic relationship. This is such a wild and emotional series; the roller coaster ride of insanity is gut wrenching and sensual and nerve wracking all at once. Ms. Carter's writing style is absolutely brilliant. Its stark beauty captivates immediately and doesn't let up. The relationship between the two was so toxic in Vengeful Love: Deception that I worried that I wouldn't be able to get back to adoring Gregory and that I wouldn't be able to respect Scarlett in this third book. But that just isn't the case, as Gregory finally reveals the reasons for his darkness and Scarlett finally calms the fuck down and is able to see their coupling as something deeper than all out obsessive need.
There is a LOT of sex in this book. Raunchy, rough, raw, slow, sensual, passionate…every form of lovemaking and fucking you could want. For me, it became too much of a good thing, and while fabulously written, I wound up speed reading through those scenes to get to the heart of the story. The suspense portion kicked into high gear toward the end, and VENGEFUL LOVE: BLACK DIAMONDS became bit more well rounded.

Black Diamonds is the third novel in the Vengeful Love series, wrapping up the story of corporate lawyer Scarlett, and Billionaire Gregory Ryans. I will admit that this was my first Billionaire series. I had stayed away from Billionaire books because I thought they were a little far fetched, but if you broke it down, this author wrote a very believable tale about a businessman and a lawyer falling in love. Now, of course, the fact that he was a billionaire gave us that fantasy element that most women are attracted to. We could vicariously drive in fast cars, get expensive presents, and sail on gorgeous yachts. All wonderful things to read about, making this fantasy full of glitz and glamour. Oh, yeah, did I mention that these characters are also British, and this takes place in England? Her use of British slang, geography, and law made this a unique read, but all of those things, were not what made me like this book as much as I did. I liked how well the author developed these characters. They each had troubled pasts and in Gregory's case a horrible childhood. Overcoming diversity was a bond they shared, and drew them closer together.
If you read the author's bio, you'll see that Laura Carter is a lawyer, and she uses her knowledge about corporate law to add depth, and create a believable mystery. As in the previous books, Scarlett is a formidable lawyer, and uses her skills to outsmart and outwit her opponents on Gregory's behalf. It is clear to see that even though Gregory and Scarlett have this mad passion for each other, he is just as drawn to her brain, as he is her body. If he wasn't I would have been sorely disappointed, and wouldn't have liked him as much as I did. As he was a self made Billionaire, it wouldn't make sense for him to be interested in only a pretty body.
Laura Carter also has a deft hand with writing intrigue. As the previous story arc ended, I had wondered how this plot would continue. It made sense for the mystery to center on a business deal that Gregory was involved in and for Scarlett to use her problem solving skills to put the puzzle pieces together, facing danger, which ultimately forces Gregory to acknowledge his emotions for her, bringing the story full circle.
I am unsure if this book would be classified as erotica, but I will give fair warning for those of you that like sweet romances. This book has raunchy, very explicit sex scenes. This may offend some readers, but may also attract others. For my own taste, I enjoyed the storyline more than the sex scenes, and would read her other books with the hope that her storytelling remains just as good as it was in this one.

Black Diamonds is the heart stopping, breath taking finale to a truly epic series that had forced its way into my heart and soul and will rest there for a very long time. This whole series is up there with the 50 Shades/Crossfire books, if not as good, better. Laura Carter has developed a truly outstanding story line filled with heart breaking, adrenaline filled moments, scorching hot scenes and addicting characters.
Following in its previous books footsteps, Black Diamonds hooked me from the start. My mind and heart reeling from the ending of Deception I went head first into Black Diamonds and lost myself to the words that took me on a emotional, tantalising thrill ride. Black Diamonds is not just a sexy romance story about a hot billionaire, no, it's filled with mystery and suspense, lies and deceit, heart breaking hidden pasts and scary futures. It's gripping and raw and on a few occasions threw me into a mind blowing tail spin as I furiously tried to piece bits together.
Gregory and Scarlett, Team Ryans, power couple, bazillionaire CEO and hotshot lawyer are a match made in heaven. As alpha as they come Gregory can "get here" right to me any time he wants. His raw beauty and power is electrifying. Always in control, or so he thinks. There couldn't have been a better female characters to play alongside Gregory, Scarlett's sassy attitude and strong mind was the perfect match and man, do they set their world alight.
Not only are Scarlett and Gregory on fire in business, they are on fire in the bedroom. Setting this story ablaze with their heat, passion and love.
As I mentioned before, this series sits high up on my list of favourites, it will remain with me for a long time. Laura Carter has burst onto the scene with a truly magnificent series that I'm gutted has now come to an end as I really don't want to say goodbye to these characters. On a whole this series is worth a bazillion stars, but unfortunately I can only rate up to a five. So I'll say that Black Diamonds, the whole Vengeful Love trilogy is worth five humongous, dazzling diamonds of pure perfection.

3.5 "Aurora" Stars
This final book in the Vengeful Love series picks up where the second left off. Gregory is devastated. He sent Scarlett away to protect her, but he can’t live without her. Scarlett has been trying to make sense of everything she has been going through, but she is lost and hurt without Gregory. However, she still can’t accept that he refuses to let her in. The emotional rollercoaster ride continues in this story, when Gregory finally reveals the cause of his darkness, giving both of them a chance at happiness.
Once again, this book was utterly addictive, with complex characters and many gripping twists and turns that kept me on the edge of my seat, particularly in the last part of the novel. Gregory and Scarlett both grew in this novel and were able to show each other their true self. This was not without difficulty for them, Scarlett has a strong personality and Gregory remains very controlling. Their sizzling attraction resulted in a lot of sexy time, maybe a bit too much for my liking, as I skimmed a bit.
Overall, this series is a great debut for Ms. Carter and I will definitely follow her in the future. The three books must be read in order and have a happy ending.

I love these books, Laura Carter has a delicious writing style that capture’s your imagination and makes you scream for more. i have been spellbound by Gregory and Scarlett for the last month and was over the moon to get these arcs. Gregory and Scarlett have a lot thrown at them in these books and they make their way through as only true love can.
Gregory has a past with childhood abuse and domestic violence and he truly believes his soul is dark and he is not worthy of Scarlett. In truth he will do anything for her including protecting her.
Scarlett is sensible but for Gregory she throws caution to the wind and becomes a more carefree version of herself and this makes her more beautiful than she was before if that is possible. The secondary characters are perfectly written with just enough detail to keep you interested in their story but not too much it over powers the main characters.
Enough of the good points, my main gripe was simply too much sex, i skimmed pages and pages as it was becoming boring. Twice straight after each other with hardly any thing in between is boring, however the fabulous story pulled it back. Four bright shiny stars x

I'm so glad that I was given the opportunity to explore a new author (to me) and read such a fantastic love story of two amazingly awesome characters. I loved in this final book that we got to see so much of the enduring love Gregory has for Scarlett. We got to be with them a lot in paradise and it was spectacular. It is so nice to read when couples just love each other after all the drama, angst and jealousy has passed. Don't get me wrong, I love all the drama, angst and jealous fits of passion, but I love the sweet side of life as well.
My only complaint, and it's a small one, was that I wished the epilogue was a bit longer and took us a few years in the future to see how one of my favorite couples are doing. Maybe Ms. Carter will consider a novella for that purpose????
Anyway, I can't say enough good things about this series. If you're a fan of romance, wealthy alpha males, strong sassy women, passion, angst, bitter pasts and scorching hot sex, then these books are for you!!!

Black Diamonds was a fantastic finale to the Vengeful Love series. It stopped my heart in places. The story was so good because it was so much more than just a love story. i really loved the strength of the heroine as well as her love for the hero. Gregory was a troubled soul who found it difficult to share his troubled past but his love was deeper and he had to decide whether he could finally let his demons go and be honest with Scarlett. She could not decide if she meant enough to him to keep him. The events happening in the background brought danger for both of them to deal with. I burned midnight oil reading this one. i could not put it down. Laura Carter has fast jumped into my small list of favourite authors and I look forward to more of her rivetting stories.

I was gifted a copy of this book for my honest opinion.
The final installment of this series did not disappoint. In the previous book, Gregory and Scarlett had broken up. Believing it was best for her, Gregory pushed her away. This made both of them miserable for the beginning portion of the book. I was rooting for them to get back together and when they finally did, lots and lots of steaminess occurred. LOTS.
I was happy about their reconciliation until I realized that the book was only halfway done. In my gut I knew I was either in for some major heartbreak or some bad things were about to happen. I didn’t expect both. I was surprised by the revelations and thoroughly enjoyed the conclusion. Well done.

I am so honoured to be given a copy and follow this whole series! yet although I love the past two instalments, there has always been a feeling that the novel's plot were a bit stretched. And in this third book, the problem is quite the same, if not worse. I love the character development, background and where the story's going but at some point the main character is basically just living life, which in my point of view were a bit unnecessary. I had actually paused for a long while before I get to pick it back up and continue it.
But otherwise I think this book is great. Would I recommend it? yes. Other people doesn't have the same issue as I do so it's just probably me being weird.

Scarlett and Gregory are back in this epic finale of The amazing debut series by Laura Carter, and let me tell you it is a heart stopping end.
I have loved these characters from the very beginning and really enjoyed being taken on their rollercoaster ride to find happiness.
I couldn't be more happier with the ending the got..it wasn't plain sailing by any means, they had a lot of obstacles getting in their way but with a long as strong as theirs, nothing will get in their way.
Overall a great debut series to which I cannot wait to find out what Laura brings us next.

A fabulous end to this trilogy of books. Very powerful stuff that had my heart in my mouth as I got lost in this thrilling ride filled with love, lust, revenge, lies, deceit and heart breaking pasts. Perfectly matched in the boardroom and the bedroom, Gregory and Scarlett will stay with me for a while. Would love to see what happens to them a couple of years down the line. Must read set of books.

Brilliant brilliant book! I loved the first two, but the third is my favourite. Loads of suspense and passion, and I'm really going to miss the characters now that I've finished reading the series.
