This book is stupid. The "story" is about a girl and a SEAL team. SEALS are Navy, but the book is called "Delta Salvation." Delta Force is Army. Honestly, that should have been my first clue that this author knows zippity doo dah about SEALS, the Navy, or the military in general. She has a Captain reporting to a Commander. In the Naval rank hierarchy, Commanders are a lower rank than Captains. Furthermore, a Captain would not be in the field in charge of a single team as he would be commanding an entire Naval group including support personnel. The author seems to not understand that the US military is severely limited in their ability to enforce domestic policy within the US, so the entire premise of this story does not work. The author could have easily gotten around the Posse Comitatus Act and the Insurrection Act of 1807 as well as her military ignorance by simply making up some super secret squirrel group. That way, she could make up whatever command structure and rules (or lack thereof) that she wants. However, if she is going to insist the story be about an actual, real life, military outfit, then she seriously needs to do some research. At the very least, Google the command structure. She should also know that Naval personnel are sailors not soldiers, and they are quite prickly about that. They would NEVER EVER refer to themselves as soldiers! Navy SEALS also say Hooyah, not Hoorah.

The book is riddle with military faux pas, but unfortunately that is not the biggest issue. The author is in serious need of an editor. Incorrect grammar, poor sentence structure, mismatched tenses, subject and verb incongruities, vocabulary discrepancies, etc. made this book tedious to read. The story never took shape, and the ending was ridiculous and childish. There was no character development, and the dialogue was stilted and awkward. The book is also full of absurd clichés. Basically, there were no redeeming qualities in this entire book.

I kept thinking "it has to get better" but it never did. It just continued to be unsophisticated and bizarre. My "reward" for my tenacity and perseverance was a rushed ending, but at least the foolhardy ordeal that was this book was blessedly over!!! For the life of me, I can't figure out what other readers found enjoyable, other than the picture on the cover. You really can't judge a book by its cover, because this cover was scrumptious, but the book itself was unpalatable. Save for the cover, this book is, in my humble opinion, a complete waste of money and time. Hopefully, my next book will be more gratifying.

I loved this story. It had action from the get go and followed through to the very end. Never once was there a dull moment. I loved that it took awhile before the couple got hot and heavy. I loved the military teammates of Kai.

My only issue- the final battle. It was too easy and over with too fast. Also, The part with Pascal was just weird in some parts. The whole parent thing? I think it could have been done a lot better.

But in the end I was in love with the story , characters, having more Rowan time, and I love love love the book cover. Can't wait to read book 2.

The other thing that had me thrilled was … the Iron Wolves were there. Ahhh, Rowan, Kellan .. cross-over books. Yea! But, back to the Seals.

Kai was a super hot, alpha male. He was trained to protect and serve. He was also trained to take out those people that the government doesn’t want anyone to know about. But, this mission is different – he’s after one of his own. A traitor that has escaped. What he didn’t expect in tracking Tyler was Alexa. He has to keep his mind on the job … he can’t be fanaticizing about her, he can’t be scowling at the rest of his men when they talk to her, he can’t be worrying about her safety and not that of his team.

Alexa is not who she thinks she is. Her life hasn’t been easy and it keeps getting harder and harder. Foster care, making it on her own, a crazy ex-boyfriend and his mother, a kidnapping, now Kai. Well, Kai she could deal with ... the rest, not so much. She has no self-worth, doesn’t think she is anything special and can’t understand what he sees in her. But, she’s fallen for him and has great respect for him and his team. She sometimes feels like a prisoner, sometimes like a treasure and she’ll do whatever it takes to keep herself and the men safe … including handing herself over to a madman.

Everything moved extremely fast throughout the story. Sometimes it was a little too fast and I had to reread a section to make sure I understood what exactly happened. I am still not sure what happened to Jase Tyler, if he is still alive, dead or in custody. Jaqui and Tay should be one fantastic story and intriguing as hell. What is it that really happened in the past? I am so hoping that it’s their story in Delta Recon.

As usual, Elle gave us a fun, intriguing, wonderful story to read. There is always a little mystery and a whole lot of love and loving going on. She makes her characters sexy and makes sure that we are always entertained by them and those around them. I guess that’s what always draws me to her … her main characters are at the forefront, interesting and compelling but, her minor characters are just as important to the story. They may have their own personalities but are an integral part of the storyline. It would just be a boy meets girl, boy falls in love with girl story without them to round out the story.

Loved this book !!!!!!! This was the first in its series for Phantom Force but it had some characters in it from the Iron Wolves MC books so I recommend anyone who wants to read this to read the Iron Wolves MC books first or else you might be a little confused about who some people are. That being said I loved, loved, loved how the author did a crossover book because it allow you to see what some of the characters from her other series are up to. This story is about a woman name Alexa and one smoking hot navy seal Kia. In the beginning of this book I felt so bad for Alexa because every time she thought she was out of one situation then she got into another and then she met Kai and his team. Then there was Kai, at first he didn't know what to think of Alexa but you could tell that from there very first encounter there road was going to be a bumpy one but also one filled with love and excitement. You also get to meet the other people that are on Kai's team with him and you can't help but to get drawn right into their lives and all of the crazy stuff that they do. I don't want to give to much away but I will say that Ms. Boon hit it out of the park with this book !!!! I can't wait to see what else see does with this series and I am so looking forward to reading book 2 of the Phantom Force series !!!!!!

There isn't much that I can say for this latest release by Elle Boon except .... I LOVED IT. The story was jammed packed with high action from the very beginning right up until the end. Although this story was not a shifter romance (I know...all of us paranormal romance lovers are crying silent tears), the story is loosely connected to Boon's Iron Wolves series and Rowan and Lyric from Lyric's Accidental Mate are very present and active in this story. Boon fans will fall in love with another set of characters that are not to be missed. Kai will make you swoon and Alexa will make you whoop a "go girl!" for her tenancy. The story also contains surprising twists and turns and ends in a happily ever after for a couple but the plot line continues because there is a baddy just waiting to be caught. i can't wait to see what's next.

Good action and intrigue, if a bit dark at times. I felt a little bit of the backstory was not fleshed out in regards to Travis and what he had done previously to betray the team. Since this was the first book in the series I don't know if missed something in another series that connected it, but it made it not quite a stand alone. However, I loved the characters on Phantom team and can't wait to read more about them and their own loves.

I love Elle Boone! She writes fun, witty and snarky characters and some very hot alpha male action. Kaylan Swift, Navy Seal and alpha male sees Alexa Gordon and knows his life will never be the same. The possibility that she might be a traitor and working with the man his team is after just might be a game changer. Kai's gut tells him differently and at every turn Alexa tells him just what she thinks. I loved her spunk. There's great chemistry and sexy times. There's good suspense and a great plot twist. My only problem with the book is it lagged and at times I lost interest. The characters and secondary characters are the best part of the book and I can't wait to read about their HEA.

I was a newbie to Elle Boon books until a couple of months ago. Now I wonder what took so long to find this great author. Her books have humor, romance, danger and sexy all rolled into them. Kai was in the previous book of Elle Boons Xan's Fiesty Mate. I recommend you read that book first before this one so you have a little back story. The Phantom Squad Kai belongs to is more than your usual Seal Team. I loved this story of Kai and Alexa. Danger has Alexa run for her life. Little does she know the danger she ran from is nothing compared to the danger she finds or the man who will protect her and love her. Hopefully the first of many more Phantom Squad books

Bang! Pow! Bang! So much action in Delta Salvation! This is what I have come to expect with an Elle Boon story. I have been a fan of Ms. Boon's stories from way back when, been loving her storytelling from her first release, Selena's Men. Elle has never disappointed me yet! Now she has rewarded me with one of my favorite sub-genres of Contemporary Romance, SEALs/Military Action Heroes. And what an awesome reward this is!

Treat yourself to a hot, action-packed read complete with a hot hunk of a hero in Kayan (Kai) Swift, a sweet sexy heroine in Alexa Gordon, witty humor, ice-melting love scenes and the pièce de résistance for me, excellent dialogue throughout.

This book was great! Action packed with sexy seals. What more could you ask for! The story starts off with a bang and just gets better from there. The poor heroine has it really rough. She's never had it easy but suddenly things go from bad to worse.
The hero is a sexy, alpha seal team leader who rescues our heroine and falls for her. These two are so great together. The chemistry is of the charts!
The story is great and is fast paced and enthralling. You won't want to put it down. I finished it in a day and a half. I loved it and didn't want it to end. I highly recommend this book. It's addicting and you will definitely want more!

This book keeps you on the edge of your seat!
Alexa gets attacked by her crazy ex that almost kills her! After she recovers from the wounds she tries to move away but along the way she almost gets attacked again and gets saved by a crazy military lady who takes Alexa to a compound.
Kai goes to a compound looking for a terrorist and ex member of his SEAL team only to find spunky Alexa and some others.
Alexa keeps having people kidnap, interrogate and hurt her! All she wants is for it to stop so she can be normal and maybe Kai can help her with that.....or not?

Couldn't put it down, even though I probably should have. The first Seal book for you Ms.Boon is a huge success. I was completely entranced by this story line & the suspense just kept drawing me back to my kindle to finish it. I'm intrigued by what will come out of your mind next. I have a feeling Tay & Jaqui will be a fantastic story full of the feels when you decide to do it. ♡

This is the 1st book in the series.

The heroine is a person you can feel that needs to be needed and rescued. However, by the end of the book, she actually develops survival skills and a backbone. She's had some really bad luck in the last few years, but needing to survive with her life rather than bad luck puts a new spin on things.

Our hero is used to being someone who goes and saves others. He, and his group, don't conciser themselves heroes but just guys doing their jobs. However, to find the heroine needing them and then finding out her history links the hero and heroine up to where each other matters.

There are some good things and some bad about the book. First, the author confuses the words delta, seal, sailor and soldier quite a bit. There is a difference because delta are soldiers or Army. Seals can be either sailor or soldiers depending on which branch (Army, Marines or Navy)they come with but its usually sailor which is Navy. Once you drop the "which branch of the military" question out of your head, then the story does go on, but sometimes within the writing the author confuses these. I know its little, but as a US Navy brat it does make a difference as to what you are expecting.

Anyhow, there are other things confused me as well. Mentioned in parts of the story are wolves, but the author never tells us about them and the history? As this is the first book I've read with this author, and from the look of other books she's written, I'm thinking this might have been a spin off from a wolf series, but that's speculation on my part.

In the story, the heroine gets duped by a woman called ma'am but except for a small bit of the story, she's never talked about or mentioned again? What the...?

I did like the twist in the parents area, and the other few areas were good twists by the author. The characters you did get to like and understand which I liked. They all are very believable along with the battles they have.

This the first from this series, I'm curious to see what the next book brings.

Love found Amongst the Battlefield.....

Hooyah Elle Boon for an amazing book! This is my first book I have read of Elle's and definitely not my last. Kayan (Kai) Swift is all male, all alpha and the Captain of Phantom Force, a Navy Seal Team. When he enters a room, he takes all the air out of it with his presence. His mission is to find and capture a former teammate Jason Tyler who is a traitor to his country and teammates. He is dedicated, sure and strong and always has a plan to be successful in his missions. That is until he meets Alexa Gordon.

Alexa Gordon has had a very rough upbringing. Her parents died at a very young age and she was tossed into the foster system to fend for herself. She is strong, sassy and independent and does not take any scat from anyone. Her radar malfunctioned when she met her now ex Danny. After they broke up he could not let it go and stalked her and beat her up to an inch of her life. When she crosses paths with Kai, she finds him sexy and swoon worthy but knows she needs to stay clear. His life is being a Seal and that means no attachments other than a quick sexcapade. Alexa wants and deserves more.

Alexa and Kai try to fight the chemistry between them knowing it will end up hurting them both. But the force that keeps drawing Kai to Alexa is like fighting a losing battle and Kai never loses. His new mission is to keep Alexa safe from harm. He will not let her out of his sight and bonds with her both emotionally and physically. This story has twists and many surprises. The military aspect of this story intriqued me and did not disappoint my love of military stories.

Kai always had Alexa's "six" and it was a joy to see him break down his wall of bricks to come to the realization of how he really felt for Alexa. I look forward to continuing this series.

I can’t get enough of Elle and the books she writes. She is a fantastic author. This is the third series I have started reading by her. I was hooked right from the beginning. Kai is a navy seal team leader. He lives and breathes his team. That is until he and his team rescue a girl named Alexa. They rescue her not once but twice. Alexa has had one hell of a life. None of it has been easy. Now she has found a man she feels safe around. She just needs to convince him that they can work. Alexa has past that she didn’t even know about. They have to figure out who is after her and why. Kia will do anything to protect Alexa include giving his life. Kia made me swoon. He is a big six feet plus seal and this girl makes him loose his mind. Alexa has been through hell and is just learning to stand again when people come after her the second time. She doesn’t know why they want her or what they are talking about just that she needs to survive. I couldn’t get enough of this book and was hooked right from the start. I need the second book like now. I can’t say enough about the characters and how much I love them. Congrats on another fantastic book Elle.

This is an action-packed steamy romance that will keep you reading a lot longer than you planned.

Kai is a SEAL leader whose team is searching for a former team-mate who had become a traitor to his country. While they were searching for him, they find Alexa who is being held against her will. After rescuing her, they realize she is being hunted so the SEAL team takes her to a safe house.

Even though Kai fights his intense attraction to Alexa, it's no use. This hot, sexy story left no doubt how this couple felt about each other.

I like SEAL stories and this one did not disappoint. Their job was to protect Alexa and that's what they were going to do, no matter what. I was engrossed by the suspense but the hot SEALs, terrorists and a retired SEAL made it even more gripping.

I enjoyed the strong SEALs and female characters along with the twists and turns in this story. Which is why I rate it 4 stars.

I loved this story of the seals. Kai and his group wind up keeping an eye on Alexa, who for some reason has a lot in her life going wrong. Kai who is all work finds himself having feeling when he shouldn't.
Once I started reading this book, I couldn't put it down. I wanted to know what was happening next. I like the humor Elle Boon adds to her characters and how they interact with each others. I also like that Rowan and his men crossed over in this book. You get to know the Seal Team and want to know more about them. I can't wait to read more in this series.
I have read other books by Elle such as the Jumpers, Iron Wolves and Mystic Wolves, and I haven't been disappointed and neither would you.

Delta Salvation is fast pace, with grip wrenching scenes and sexy time between the sheets. Kai or Swift is the male lead and Alexa Grodon is our leading lady. Boon will bring the Phantom Team back to South Dakota were Rowan their old leader resides with his beautiful mate Lyric and the IronWolf MC. With a little help from Rowan and his pack make this story even more fun to read. Take a ride while Kai and his team try to protect Alexa while the bad guys closing in, Kai will also have to decide to either make Alexa his or let her walk away once the dust settles. Great

Liked Alexa and Kia and their attraction for each other. She had a hard life. Foster care, a bad ex boyfriend. He was extremely mean. Danny and his mother were really bad people.
Then she gets kidnapped. She meets Marley.

Then she met the Seals. Then she meets Kai and his team. She does what she can, what feels right to her. To keep them safe.

Kia, the Navy Seal in him knows that he has to get the job done and keep her safe.

This book had lots of sexual tension, twists, conflicts.
I consider this one a romance

The hours got lost while reading this story. I love a good military story. Alexa had a rough go of life, something a lot of us can relate too. Kai is the sexy alpha male that every girl swoons over. I did find that this book was hard to follow and sometimes I would find myself going back to re-read because I felt I was missing something. The flow of the story was also broken and it took my head a minute to catch up. All of these things though did not stop me from reading this story in a day.

In book one in the Seal Team Phantom series, Alexa Gordon survives a brutal attack and is trying to get her life back together. After she’s rescued from her violent ex-boyfriend, she becomes a prisoner at a military compound and forced to become a solider. Then the compound is raided and an elite Seal team rescues her.
Kai Swift doesn’t know if he can trust Alexa. He and his men are searching for Jase, their former teammate who had betrayed them a few years earlier, and he thinks Alexa is connected to Jase. Then someone targets Alexa, and it’s up to Kai to keep her safe.
Alexa and Kai are interesting characters. She’s been through hell and come out stronger for it. He’s a yummy badass who will do anything to take care of his team. Their romance was super hot.
Though I liked the overall plot, I found it difficult to keep track of who was who since there were so many characters. Description and detail were sparse in a few places, and there was some grammar issues, so I had to reread to figure out what was going on. There were also some unanswered questions, but at least the end wrapped up the major plot points.

I've read a few of this authors books and I'll admit that for me this one wasn't a wow me book like her other series. A half way rating as I felt the book has some good moments but not enough to be consistent.
I don't claim to have lots of knowledge on the SEAL's but I thought they were Navy and she continually calls them soldiers, hmmm I thought they were sailors??? Anyway some of it was a little confusing.
She certainly tried to jam as much as she could into the plot and so swapped and changed what was happening quite a bit. It was still easy to follow but I much prefer a bit less with more detail then lots of stuff detailed so briefly.
Seemed to have some editing issues that were a little distracting at times.
Gosh poor Alexa had been through quite a bit in her young life and I found her to be a strong character. Kai grew on me as the story developed and it was great to see the Iron Wolves make an appearance.
Overall an ok start to the series.

2.5 Stars - Not What I Expected

New to me author, I was expecting a great romantic suspense novel with hot Navy Seals and a kickass heroine - that’s what I got from the blurb anyway! 🤷‍♀️
What it is, is a mish-mash of worlds from the author’s previous series - with no details about the connections or what exactly the other ‘good guys’ are - set in a story that’s trying too hard. The premise is good but the execution led to me wondering what was going on and how is it that everything is connected - I’ve finished the book and I’m still confused! Also, the editing is really bad - missing words, lack of grammar and no breaks between change in scenes; adding to my confusion.
Good points? Some steamy sex scenes, cocky Seal banter, some action and a HEA.
