A Fair Book with a Hero I Could Have Done Without!
For me this was a 2.5 to 3.0 star read.
Five years ago, Janine Hart fell in love and had an intense affair with Micah whom she had met in Italy while attending cooking school. She fell so hard and deep and then her world shattered along with her heart. On the evening he took her to meet his awful parents they treated her like a criminal, like trash, a leper. Told her flat to her face that she was not good enough for their son and refused to even speak to her during the dinner and visit etc...it was really quite horrendous. After that visit Micah turned cold and pulled away from her. She knew her future with him was over because of his parents influence and the facts that he was commitment phobic, didn't want to marry or have children. What was really left for her since he was pulling away and barely looking at her through cold icy blue eyes? She packed her bags and went home to her family.
Five years later he shows up at her business and tells her he wants her. Why did she leave him? What had happened etc. He would have swiftly found out if he had contacted her and she was tired of leaving message after message about the babies with him not answering a single one. She never heard back from him and was devastated.
This was a pretty predictable story line with a Hero who was not at all likable...at least I didn't care for him. Micah was way beyond your alpha male who was not endearing in the least. He was horribly arrogant, a dishonorable bully, and a jerk to the inth degree. Apparently he was well adept at charming the pants off women..many, many women if my understanding is correct. Most of the book moved a bit too slowly for me and really lacked the depth I like to experience in a romance novel. Quite a bit of sex for a short book and yes it seemed it was SEX as there didn't appear to be any love-making, just frantic sex.
I liked the heroine except she had such a weakness for him and was not strong enough to stop his constant advances. The way he treated her made her feel as though she was being held captive, a prisoner. He would refuse to leave her home or give her space of any kind. Oh yes, and lest I not forget, he was a man-whore and had financially kept mistresses for years. I thought that went out ages ago. Did not add to the likability factor.
I hate to complain further but the cover appeared to me to be of an older man. Not so great.

Me gustó mucho. Sensual, divertida y tierna. El galán es adorable. Pero le faltó un poco más de escenas apasionadas en la historia. La recomiendo.

The second Book of the Hart triplet series. Quite enjoyable! Micah, an Italian business tycoon, had an affair with Janine, she was in culinary college. Despite her love confession Micah didn't believe in the fairytales and was quite cynical. When he took her to meet his parents, Janine was humiliated by Micah's Mother and to add salt to the wound he was cold towards her after that dinner. Janine was distraught and insecure and even depressed. She left her culinary college in Italy and returned home heartbroken. After a month she discovered she was pregnant and tried to contact Micah which proved to be futile. Janine and her daughters and made an independent life with her sisters as a support system. After five years, Micah returns oblivious to his daughters, he realised Janine was a special woman and he wanted her back, to reconcile the affair. After some passion interludes, she reveals the 'twin surprise' Micah was blown away. Then suddenly he wanted it all Mother and girls. He proposed Marriage but a broken hearted Janine did not trust herself not him to resume a relationship. He finally confessed his love and proved how much they mean to him and the duo got their HEA 💘Great Book!

The Italian´s Twin Surprise es el segundo libro de la trilogia The Hart Sisters y tiene como protagonistas a Janine ( la segunda trilliza Hart ) y Micah.
Pense que este segundo libro seria mejor que el anterior, no por nada en concreto sino porque la sinopsis me parecio mas interesante pero desgraciadamente no es muy diferente al primero : todo sucede demasiado rapido.
Personalmente me gusta que los libros tengan un buen desarrollo y esta trilogia es bastante superficial, entiendo que sean historias cortas y ligeras pero creo que hubieran mejorado mucho si la autora se tomara el tiempo de desarrollar mas los personajes y la trama.
Aun asi, no puedo decir que me sienta decepcionada con estas lecturas porque la verdad es que no esperaba una gran trilogia, solo algo facil y rapido de leer y en ese aspecto si cumplen su funcion.

Could have been a better read
Ms. Lennox, I loved the first Heart sister's book, but please put a little backbone in the last sister, please. I don't want to read the same old same old where she couldn't resist his touch. Let her drive him crazy for a change.

Quick, seriously hot read by Elizabeth Lennox. I enjoyed it, the secrets kept because of past hurt come out when the past shows up wanting answers & a second chance. This book was also sweet in the love that Janine had for her two beautiful twin daughters. They were very sweet, energetic & funny little girls with a menagerie of animals that protected them. The return of Janine’s ex-lover Micah is turning her world upside down. He wants answers to why she left 5 yrs ago & he wants back in her life & bed, but she’s not ready for that. The heat between them scorched the pages & kept the very jumpy Janine on a constant edge. Loved the battle for Janine’s heart that Micah waged. Also loved how he fell in love with his little girls at first sight.

A great series, yeah, rich text but there’s not quite a balance between societal values - what with his wantonness? –and family values. There’s not quite a balance between love and sex. There’s not a balance in good judgment and bad judgment. Nothing balances, and that’s how I like my reads.

I purchased this story after I read the first in this trilogy . This is story is wonderful and interesting also . I really enjoyed reading this story . The characters are unique and entertaining . I highly recommend taking the time to read .

Short and sweet
Blowing back into Janines life after a 5 year absence Micah was not expecting her hostility or the twin girls she had raised on her own. Melting her heart and getting to know his daughter jumps to top priority on his list.

Amo mucho esta trilogia hasta el momento.
Aunque me choca un poco que no entiendan un no como respuesta los protagonistas masculinos, aunque todo resulte bien al final.
Es interesante la manera en que se muestra el protagonista a la idea de que tiene dos hijas y que se a perdido 4 años de su vida y no quiere hacerlo mas y volver a dejar de lado a la mujer que ama

I like Elizabeth Lennox's books a lot. They are fun, sexy, quick reads. I like that she releases a trilogy in each of three months, for instance. I hate waiting for books in a series to come out.
Love the sexy cover. This is book 2 of the Hart Sisters Trilogy. Janine had fallen in love with an Italian during her cooking school days in Italy. She had broken up with him, come home and then found out she was pregnant, with twins. Oops.
This story is set five years later, when the hero FINALLY decides to look her up. She falls for him just as quickly the second time around. And I am looking forward to book three of the trilogy.
One really minor quibble - too many exclamation marks!!! The heroine speaks in exclamation marks! It is really annoying! Every sentence should not be an exclamation!

What a surprise Micah had when arriving in the states seeking his lovely Janine! Janine left his arms over five years ago and came back to her family. He couldn't stop thinking of her and had to change her mind to come back to him. He didn't understand her when she's furious with him and so hurt from his past actions. And she throws him for a loop when she tells hi he has twin daughters. 5 stars

Micah and Janine met five years ago. She fell in love. The problem was she was young and insecure. Janine let her insecurities and peoples perceptions of her tear them apart. Now Micah is back in her life. He wants her back and is prepared to do whatever it takes to make that happen. Janine however has two little secrets she neglected to mention. Cute story. The Italian's Twin Surprise is a fun lighthearted romp.

Time for book 2 of the Hart Sisters... Janine's story is beyond anything... I can't say more then that without giving it away... don't ask what 'It' is just pick up the book and read. First sentence captured me and from there I couldn't look away. Micah... what can I say about him that is nice in the begining of the book? He is persistant... that is all
