Entertaining but aggravating

An entertaining read but filled with the potholes of Aer's grammatical/vocabulary/syntax errors: "typically efficient and redundant Star Force manner." Redundant means " not needed or superfluous. How does this line even make sense? "knocking them off the thrown," should be " throne" There are several more. Aer is probably using a spellchecker but that doesn't catch errors in grammar and syntax. He REALLY needs a proofreader. The lack of one (or more) gives his books an unfinished and bumpy feel to read.
This English honors class veteran would have given up on the series way before now if it was any less entertaining.

Took them long enough to kill The WORD. Took Davis long enough to decide to annex Earth. How are you a multisolar species but on the homefront your people are still fighting like rabid animals? That, at least, the author did right because he inspired the desire to see it happen and then came through on it.

Now this business with the Regulars? Idk. I was kinda wondering what was going on there but I also didn't really think about it too hard because, frankly, if it isn't an Archon, who cares? I hope he can jump-type and switch to start training as a Knight or something not boring.

Book 10 of many more...As with the other books in the series (so far) there were exciting new story aspects but you always have to get through a ton of details covering training and battles - its probably just me but after 10 books I don't need to keep being reminded at how hard Star Force trains and get a little bored at having all the battles so detailed. But the overall story line keeps me going as I want to see when Star Force faces up to the original aliens that once enslaved us. The way the series is going I expect I need to read another dozen books :-) Off to book 11 :-)

More of the same.

I like how the nations of earth had to fall in line with Star Force. With the major war going on, everyone has to get behind winning it. No free rides! Of course, there go any freedoms you thought you had. What kind of government will it be, the choice being , who owns you? Do you own yourself or does the state own you? Using names, socialism and communism own you.

Rofl - now dogs are people?

The idea that animals are on the same level as humans, as in, they think and reason and have language, is utterly ridiculous.

It also feels a little preachy to say animals and insects are our brothers, so we shouldn't eat meat. Hiding a preachy, holier-than-thou attitude inside a sci-fi story is just bad writing.

Too much of this story is a tangent of wasted space.

David, Jessica, Messo, Devin, Ghana, Rio, Kip,

Star Force decides to force the earthly nations to unify to resist the Word forces. Jessica Avril is chosen to reorganize New Zealand and merges with several Colonies. Later she works with Australia. Star Force locates Word managers and takes them out.

Entertaining read

Empire building mixed with space and land battles makes for an interesting and varied read. Author spends a little more time on training than I would like but an entertaining read nonetheless.

Keeps getting better with each book. I do feel that there is a bit too much "training" and some of the battles last a bit longer than necessary. Could use a bit more humor. However, all-in-all I am enjoying the series and look forward to each new episode!

Another fun read. Great direction of the storyline as it splits off into a few different individual

With the heavy accent on detail, it was fun to see this splinter into a few different storylines reconverging later on in the book. Very much have enjoyed this series

poisoned writing

Davis looks and enforces the best for the civilizations Star Force meets but really has it progress they become more and more like the empire they created to fight one day.

Rise of the dictator. Fall of the old earth ways.

These books have been getting better as they go. I still find occasional typos, but that is true of a lot of books. The story is still carrying my interest as new characters are introduced.

Star Force continues to capture the imagination while keeping to a science based story that you don't want to put down.
