I know I've skipped a few issues, mainly cuz I don't have them all, so the story takes off continuing the feud between Buffy and Selke in a final confrontation.

Selke moves closer to finishing off the Slayer and Buffy finds herself face to face with a mirror image of herself created by Selke: The Dark Slayer.

When Dark Slayer Buffy couldn't see her reflection in the mirror I immediately thought of Harmony and Buffy's comment on the TV show, from S4 Buffy?
Harmony's a vampire? She must be dying without a reflection.
ah... good times lol

I think this story takes place in Season 2, mainly cuz of Spike and Drusilla's appearance in the comic. Yay!! Selke as a villain? Hmm ok, I much prefer Buffy vs her evil twin, that was interesting and I liked the scenes with the deformed Buffy who Selke and the doctor abandoned as they saw her as a failed experiment, it reminded me of Alien Resurrection where Ripley found all her other clones - the failed experiments left to rot - wish there were more scenes but with Spike and Drusilla's appearance at the end i can't help but wonder what mischief is in store!

Again the artwork is amazing (wish I could draw like that!), the dialogue and capturing the character's personalities were on point too!

This is one of the few Buffy the Vampire Slayer comics that I have read and I don’t know how I feel about it. I loved the novels and the show, but the comics have always taken me a little extra to get into them. I think most of it has to do with the way everything is presented. The reason that the other mediums have stuck with me is they capture the wit and humour of the show, as well as give us complex characters and relationships. I didn’t get that here.

Everything felt underwhelming to me. We are supposed to be following Buffy as she tries to take down this thing that is her evil. The rest of the gang is getting ready for a parade and just hovering in the background. The only one who seems involved in anything is Angel. What I missed the most in this comic was the fact that the Scooby gang is such an important part of Buffy’s slaying. They are always there and willing to help. it is them who help make Buffy such a good Slayer. The fact that they were not at the centre of this did not sit well with me.

The story seems to take place during season three, which I have only watched completely once, but I am still familiar enough with it. I felt like the timeline and trying to figure out where this fit into the overall story was missing. Is this supposed to be a stand-alone or are the rest of the season three comics follow-ups? It felt like this was a bridge to something that is to come. If it, then this was a great lead-up. If not, then this was a waste of time. I have more questions than answers.

The artwork was pretty bad. Half of the time, I couldn’t figure out who was supposed to be who. I would have liked to have seen some of the characters a lot better drawn and fleshed out. This all could be because I have been reading manga instead of comics for a while now. I don’t know, I just wish that the artwork had been handled a lot better.

Overall, I was just disappointed by this title.

At last, finally managed to get my hands on this book. Unlike most of the rest of the graphic novels, this one has links to some of the others, importantly, it's the concluding story to an arc that crosses at least 3 books. It literally kicks off from the big reveal in the previous book (I've read them out of order so I couldn't even tell you which one that was) and never lets up. It's a good doppleganger story with a satisfying, if abrupt, ending.

Better than Remaining Sunlight, but only because it looks like the team were getting better at writing and drawing the characters. Still pretty bad though.

Here we go! The conclusion to the Bad Blood storyline began here and here. I have to say, despite a couple of rough patches in the middle there, it’s been a fun ride. It was mostly good to see the book get away from the “villain of the week” format and do a longer-running villain, even if it maybe stretched a bit in the middle unnecessarily. This conclusion, though, was absolutely top-notch. These three issues can be found collected either here or in Buffy The Vampire Slayer Omnibus Volume IV.

These three issues are titled as if they’re two separate stories, with the first two going under the title She’s No Lady and the last being entitled Old Friend, but that’s not really accurate. These three issues are clearly a single unit, and I’ll discuss them that way. The Scoobies have been tasked by Principal Snyder with preparing a float to represent the school during Mardi Gras, (Which apparently is also celebrated in Sunnydale? Who knew?) which is taking a good deal of time away from the search for the origin of the super-vamps. Meanwhile, Selke and her pet doctor have managed to magic together an evil doppelganger of Buffy. Yep, things are heading for a showdown….

On the whole, this was great. The writing was back on top, and mostly there were no loose threads left hanging around. Spike & Dru show up again at the very end, but I suspect that that’s a seed for a future story rather than sheer randomness. The art was likewise stellar, and I think Cliff Richards has finally hit his stride. Chronologically, this happens soon after the previous story/soon after Buffy S03E11: Gingerbread.

CONTENT: No profanity that I can recall. Vampire violence consistent with the Buffy television show. Some mild sexual innuendo…. Buffyverse vampires could be considered occultic due to their demonic nature, but it didn’t bug me.

This is part of the Buffy the Vampire Slayer Comic series. An entertaining read! I enjoyed the plot line of their being a look alike imposter sent in to get in with the Scooby gang and then kill Buffy. The problem with the imposter is she’s not quite channelling Buffy right, I mean really obsessed with clothes and name brands. I’m surprised Cordy didn’t have more to say about it. My favourite quote from the entire story is displayed on the back of the comic, Giles says “Have her come see me. I don’t like where this is going. The situation is too serious for the slayer to go.... Cordy.” Oh I just killed myself laughing. Selke makes a very interesting Villain and I can’t wait to read some more of the series to learn more about her.
This story line seems to take place in the senior year of BVS which would make it season 3.
