An aging boy band and a ship full of their biggest fans. An ocean of possibilities.

A model, a recent college grad, and a stay-at-home-mom embark on the trip of a lifetime. Former model Jade is not as young as she used to be, and she struggles to keep up with the younger, newer fans. Cody, who is a dead ringer for one of the boy band members, wants one last hurrah with his best friend before he has to join the real world. Frankie left her husband and children at home to cut loose with her friends and her five favorite guys.

But the super fans, who have dubbed themselves Lyfe Support, keep getting in their way. When these three groups of cruisers put their heads together, tricking security guards and masquerading as band members, they can outsmart even the savviest of fans. And maybe then, the band they love will finally notice them.

All the while, Luc, the supposed least popular member of the band, needs to resist the myriad of temptations on the cruise ship to determine what really matters to him in life.

Lyfers was an amazing story that unfolded as the pages turned. I mean who couldn't love a good book with a boy band, former model, look-a-like, and a beach. Fun in the sun is what this book reminded me of. I wanted to go on a cruise after reading this book. Sun, fun, and books whoop whoop.

Jade is a former model who just wants to have fun for once. Cody looks like one of the band members and Frankie left her children and husband to have some fun. A cruise with their favorite boy band is just what the doctor ordered. These three are about to embark on a journey that has nothing on the bands groupies.

As they sneak around and have fun on this cruise the band and the group will learn that letting go and having fun is just as important as being serious about life. Sometimes letting go and losing it in the moment is just what the doctor ordered.

*I was given a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.*

An aging boy band, 4 Lyfe, heads for a cruise with their fans. The book follows fans in their 20s, 30s, and 40s trying to get close to their favorite band members. Shenanigans ensue.

This book wasn't my cup of tea. There wasn't much plot here. It was more a series of scenes of activities from the cruise. I kept expecting there to be some kind of romance plot line but there wasn't.

The characters were all right, but I definitely didn't like Cody. He is supposedly in love with his best friend and wants to date her, but is actively looking for hook ups on the cruise. I wasn't a fan of Frankie because she is a supposedly happily married woman who is acting more like a star-crazed, obsessed teenager. I had a hard time believing that she and her friends (all in their 30s) would behave the way they did. Jade was all right. I liked her and Oscar as a best friend pair.

I was not super crazy about the members of the boy band simply because they all seemed like assholes. They were constantly mad at the fans. But then, if I was hanging around a bunch of adult women and they were acting like *that* I would probably be mad, too...

This book is a quick and easy read. Would recommend for anyone who is a fan of boy bands and doesn't need serious plot in their books. The screaming fans and crazy antics are definitely reminiscent of the stories I read about young fans of BSB and NSYNC back in the 90s. It's just not a book for me.

I have been a Backstreet Boys fan for almost 20 years now, so I reveled in the opportunity to read a story about a middle-aged boy band on their own cruise. Once I started reading "Lyfers," I couldn't stop! I enjoyed hearing the different characters' stories once on board the ship. I've never been on a boy-band-themed cruise, but through the stories of Cody, Frankie, Jade, and their friends, I could understand their feelings on meeting their long-time idols going through "meet and greet" and getting their pictures taken with the band. I thought Luc's story was particularly interesting, being the least favorite member of the band with a sordid past. Throughout the story, I found myself wanting to hear more of each characters' backgrounds as they were unfolding their sides of the story on the ship. I loved the twist at the end; I had to re-read the last chapter a few times! I'd love to see what happens next in the storyline! If you're a life-long boy band fan, this story is definitely one for you. Pick one of the characters' storylines, laugh, fantasize, and live your daydream for a while!

*I received a copy of this title from the author. It does not impact my review*

Lyfers was a fun, quick read. I loved the idea for the story – an old boy band has reunited and goes on a theme cruise as part of their reunion tour. The story follows one of the boy banders and three groups of fans – two life time fans who are now in their forties, a trio of 30-something stay-at-home moms, and a couple of friends in their twenties. I really enjoyed getting the different perspectives and it really kept the story moving along at a good pace. My favorite character was probably Cody (one of the twenty-somethings). He agreed to go on the cruise with his friend because he wants to be more than friends with her and their storyline was cute and was my favorite to follow.

I did find most of the characters kind of hard to like at times, though. They all acted a little crazy and there were lots of times I was like, “Get a hold of yourself! You’re a mother!” But overall, I found the story fun and it made me nostalgic for the days of Boy Bands past.

This book brought me a lot of memories from past cruises (BSB and NKOTB) and it's impossible not to relate the characters with the actual boys from these bands and the variety of their fans.It was a fresh and funny lecture, very careful with details.
I´m still wondering if the "jail" is true. XD

This book was just ok for me. No real story and the characters weren't relatable. I'm a boy band fan but I would never go as far to steal Joey McIntyre's half eaten leftovers. These fans were crazy but they didn't even know it. It was mildly entertaining at best and a quick & easy read.
