1001 Dark Nights: Bundle Four

Rate this book
From New York Times and USA Today Bestselling authors Carrie Ann Ryan, Heather Graham, Kristen Proby, and Cherise Sinclair, and introducing K. L. Grayson and Mari Carr…

Six Dark Tales. Six Sensual Stories. Six Page Turners.

WICKED WOLF: Gina Eaton has always known fate can be tricky, but when she finds the one man that could be her mate, she might throw caution to the wind. Quinn Weston puts his whole being into two things: the safety of his Pack and his son. When the two Alphas put Gina and Quinn together to find a way to ensure their treaties remain strong, fate has a plan of its own.

WHEN IRISH EYES ARE HAUNTING: Devin Lyle and Craig Rockwell are back, this time to a haunted castle in Ireland where a banshee may have gone wild—or maybe there's a much more rational explanation—one that involves a disgruntled heir, murder, and mayhem.

EASY WITH YOU: With a murderer terrorizing the Tulane University campus, Asher Smith finds himself toe-to-toe with the one woman that haunts his dreams. Lila Bailey has fought for every good thing in her life during every day of her thirty-one years. Aside from that one night with an impossible to deny stranger a year ago, Lila is the epitome of responsible. When some of her female students are viciously murdered, Lila’s shaken to the core. But when Lila becomes the target, can Asher save her in time?

MASTER OF FREEDOM: Detective Atticus Ware needs a woman to give her heart as well as her body. When Virginia Cunningham is invited to observe BDSM classes on a wilderness camping trip, she’s shocked—her fiancé had insisted BDSM was a fabrication to sell books. But when Atticus lures her into participating, she learns submission under the hands of a powerful Dom is beyond anything she’d imagined.

LIVE WITHOUT REGRET: L.O.V.E. How can those four letters cause so much pain? Everyone talks about how great love is, with all the flowers and the butterflies, but that wasn’t my experience at all. Love wasn’t something I wanted or even needed. But then Connor Jackson came into my life.

OFF LIMITS: According to the bro code, enacted by Evan Sparks and Logan Grady years ago, sisters are out. However, Lacy Sparks isn’t about to let a silly boyhood pact stand between her and the man she’s wanted for nearly twenty years. She’s waited long enough. Logan thinks she’s too sweet to give him what he needs. He’s about to learn as far as Lacy’s concerned, in bed or out, nothing is off-limits.

Every Dark Nights tale is breathtakingly sexy and magically romantic.

I've read a few novellas in the 1001 Dark Nights series here and there, if they were part of a series I was already following. But, until now, I've never read one of the bundles in its entirety, regardless of whether I knew the authors or the series. Now having done so, I can tell you one thing. My wallet will never be the same.

Why you ask? Although I was familiar with the names of all six authors in this bundle, I had only read books by two of them in the past (Kristen Proby and Cherise Sinclair). And, I was only completely caught up on one of the series in which these novellas take place (Kristen Proby's With Me In Seattle series). So, every other story and every other author was new to me. I loved what I read so much, that I've now bought four new books and three new audiobooks so that I can start these series at the beginning and catch up on what I missed.

This bundle has a little bit for everyone. Wicked Wolf was a wonderful paranormal shifter romance novella. When Irish Eyes Are Haunting was a paranormal ghosty story with more of the focus on the mystery than on the romance. Easy With You and Live Without Regret were both awesome contemporary romance stories with strong alpha males - a cop and a tattoo artist. And speaking of alpha males, Master of Freedom and Off Limits were both hot and sexy BDSM stories with men that will melt your panties off.

Although I had never read most of these series before, that didn't diminish my enjoyment of each story by itself. Each novella, with the exception of When Irish Eyes are Haunting, follows a couple that hasn't been introduced in its series yet (although, in most cases, you'll know at least one character already). I was able to pick up on the settings and backstories fairly quickly in all of them.

As for the standouts among the bunch, of course I loved Easy With You. I'm a huge fan of Kristen Proby, and have read all the With Me In Seattle books and the Boudreaux books. This is a fantastic way to cross over the series. Asher was Matt's partner (introduced in Tied With Me - With Me In Seattle #6), and after moving to New Orleans meets Lila, who is Kate's BFF (introduced in Easy Love - Boudreaux #1).

I'm really into shifter books right now, so I loved Wicked Wolf. Although I was very able to keep up with Quinn and Gina's story, it's clear that a lot has already happened in this series and in this world - as this is the 8th installment in this series, that's to be expected. Luckily I was able to pick up An Alpha's Path (Redwood Pack #1) for only $0.99 and added the Audible narration for $1.99. #winning

Although I've read the first three books in Cherise Sinclair's Masters of Shadowlands series, I haven't delved into her Mountain Masters & Dark Haven series - until now, that is. Master of Freedom is the 5th book in that series, and it was by far the longest book in this bundle. At over 230 pages, it was double the size of most of the others, so it really read like a full-length novel. I thoroughly enjoyed Atticus and Gin's story, too, and was fascinated by the other couples that were introduced. This is another series that I'm really excited to go back and start at the beginning.

If you are a fan of romance, I HIGHLY recommend you purchase one of the 1001 Dark Nights bundles and read it from cover to cover. Don't worry if you aren't familiar with an author or a series - I found this was a fantastic way to expose me to authors that I may not have tried otherwise.

1001 Dark nights Bundle Four by Carrie Ann Ryan, Heather Graham, Kristen Probly, Cherise Sinclair, K.L. Grayson and Mari Carr

Designation: A boxed set of 6 individual full stand alone stories! No cliffhangers!

Wow, this was a full book of exciting reads. A little bit of everything, a paranormal, BDSM, and suspense. I am a firm believer of spoiler free reviews, so I’ll try my best to tell you just how good these are without ruining the surprise.

I’m going to give a brief review of each book separately since they are all so different.

WICKED WOLF: A REDWOOD PACK NOVELLA BY CARRIE ANN RYAN

Gina Jamenson, 26, is half wolf, half witch shifter hybrid whose father is the Alpha of the Redwood Pack. She was adopted into the family after her parents were killed. She is invited to a meeting between the Talons and the Redwoods which turns to be a discussion about the packs working more closely together. She is destined to be the Enforcer of the Redwood pack and the leaders want her to co-lead a council to bring the packs closer together. The only problem is the bias from the co-leader assigned from the Talons.

Quinn Weston, 45, is a wolf shifter and is assigned to lead the Talons in the council. He is untrusting of Gina since his mate and the mother of his child used a witch to break the mating bond and left the pack five years ago almost shattering his soul and almost killing him and his son in the process. Even though he feels a pull to her, he will not open himself up to being hurt again.

I enjoyed Gina and Quinn’s story. Even though they are not on the same page they know that for the overall strength of their two packs they need to find a way to work together. Just when they finally begin to get past their issues, another obstacle shows up and tries to come between them and the bond that is forming between their packs. There are quite a few unexpected turns in this story. I could understand Quinn’s strong reaction to Gina and the strength Gina showed at the same time. I really liked how Quinn’s son was a pivotal part of the story. This really read well as a stand-alone even though it is book 8 in the Redwood pack series.

WHEN IRISH EYES ARE HAUNTING: A KREWE OF HUNTERS NOVELLA BY HEATHER GRAHAM

I have not read any of the other Krewe of Hunters books, which it looks like there are at least 14!

The Krewe hunters are an elite paranormal investigator unit of the FBI….just like the X-files we are all so familiar with. So this story focuses on Devin Lyle and Craig “Rocky” Rockwell who are on their honeymoon to Castle Karney in Ireland. There is a ghost story about Castle being haunted and a curse of the Banshees wail which happens at midnight as death strikes.
Devin has the ability to see and speak to the dead, so they are here to investigate the sudden death of her Uncle Collum. Devin meets Deirdre who is called to help man pass from the darkness and to embrace the light. She indicates that Collum was not yet to be taken, which means that he was in fact murdered, but who could have done it and who stands to gain from his death. Everyone who is an heir to the castle is a suspect, but after those few people it will transfer to the government. Rocky is convinced that there is no Banshee wail, but it is made by some mechanical device so he calls in a couple of the Krewe colleagues to help with the investigation.

While I enjoyed Devin and Rocky’s story, unfortunately I did feel like I missed something about them from the previous novels. So I would recommend reading them in order so you can appreciate the full development of the characters. That being said this did read well as a stand-alone. There was enough suspense to keep me interested in who was the real killer and like any good plot it was the person you least expected! To find out you will just have to read and try to put the clues together as you go along.

EASY WITH YOU: A WITH ME IN SEATTLE NOVELLA BY KRISTEN PROBY

Asher is in New Orleans visiting his brother, but he lives in Seattle with his daughter Casey. He sees Lila in a bar and she tells her friends that she is staying and he can take her home. Both are acting out of character, but since they are both visiting they throw caution to the wind and have an amazing one night stand.

We next catch up with Lila nine months later. She is a professor at Tulane University where there is a serial killer targeting women in her class and study group. It just so happens that one of the detectives investigating the case is Asher who moved to town six months ago. What the police know and haven’t shared is that at each crime scene, there is a note threatening a teacher, but no one is named. Asher is haunted by a serial killer case he handled in Seattle which had 8 victims one which nearly destroyed him.

So now he does not want to let Lila out of his site, but will she agree to his terms. He wants her to cancel her study group since all the victims are from her study group. He wants to move her to protective custody. Will he be able to keep the past from repeating itself?

I really enjoyed the chemistry between Lila and Asher. And his daughter Casey was just the sweetest thing….the way she connected with Lila was perfect and so sweet. After reading this, I did go and pick up the first book in the series Come Away With Me!

MASTER OF FREEDOM: A MOUNTAIN MASTERS NOVELLA BY CHERISE SINCLAIR

Virginia “Gin” Cunningham is a social worker in a prison. She took the job out of desperation when she wanted to get away from her ex-fiancé. She has been left by both her father and her ex and she doesn’t want to take the chance on being hurt again. She goes with some friends to their forest lodge for a weekend wilderness tour where they are teaching BDSM.

Atticus Ware is a Detective but teaches bondage on the side. While teaching the Dom students how to read their submissive he sees Gin and uses her for his demonstration. She denies being a submissive, but he sees otherwise by the way she reacts to him. They seem to be getting along well and wraps her up like a macramé project until he learns what she does for a living. He doesn’t explain it to her, but his brother is in prison and has had an awful experience with a social worker. He thinks that she is the bad social worker and shuts her out.

When she tries to help Sawyer see that he is not a bad person, she tries to get him to connect by holding an intervention by having his brother come to a session. That is when she finds out that Sawyer’s brother is Atticus. So even if they work through their issues nothing can happen since she is his brother’s case worker. But since she still wants to learn more about BDSM, she plans to visit Jake and Kallie’s lending library of Doms.

Will Atticus and Gin ever open up to each other? Will Atticus be able to help Gin see that not all guys are bad? She is ok with a friends with benefits thing, but will he accept that? To find out you have to read this story. I really enjoyed the chemistry between them and was hoping they would get together. There was a steady pace to the plot and a completely unexpected twist where Atticus has to save Gin.

LIVE WITHOUT REGRET BY K.L.GRAYSON

Brittany Caldwell goes to InkSlingers tattoo parlor to get inked by Connor Jackson who recently won the top prize on the reality show Inked. They have instant chemistry, but she is not interested in a relationship, but a one night stand and he gave up meaningless one-night-stands and is looking for a real connection.

She eventually decides to go with her gut – or maybe her heart. But they’re working together....plotting against her….damn conspirators.

He asks, “Be sure, baby. Because once I’m inside you, I’m going to claim you. Your body will be mine.”

So they get together fast, but then Brittany meets Connor’s best friend, Logan, who happens to be a girl. This brings back all sorts of horrors for her since her fiancé left her for his female best friend. She explains it to him, but he is in shock and doesn’t react right away and when her words finally sink in, she has left and won’t answer his calls, text and ignores him at the door.

Will he be able to finally break through to her? Will Brittany be able to forget Connor?

Although this was shorter in length, it was a wonderfully moving story. I felt for Brittany and the distrust she had from her time with her ex. I loved how persistent Connor was in trying to get through her walls.

OFF LIMITS: SPARKS IN TEXAS BOOK 4 BY MARI CARR

The Bro Code is alive and well with Logan and Evan.

Logan is getting over a relationship with Jane where he started with a vanilla relationship not wanting to scare her off with his interest in BDSM. Evan is very aware of Logan’s preferences which is why he would never let him be with his sister.

Lacy has always been attracted to Logan and when she was 17 she followed him and his girlfriend and what she saw opened up her interest in BDSM. She makes a move to show Logan that she is interested in him, but he says he can’t violate the Bro code. They make a deal that he will show her what he needs hoping that she will run for the hills, but it will only be three times and no more. She agrees hoping that once they get together she can change his mind.

The funniest quote is between Evan and Lacy:
“I prefer to think of you as my sweet, innocent sister. Pure as freshly fallen snow.” – Evan
“Yeah. That snow was plowed a decade ago.” – Lacy

I really enjoyed this story. I loved the connection between Lacy and Logan. Lacy was a strong determined heroine and Logan was a strong Alpha doing everything he could to not give in to his true feelings. Half the book was flashbacks to prominent events in her life which was used to show how they were connected to each other. I really loved it, but some might find it to be challenging since it hops quite a bit.

Review:
CARRIE ANN RYAN - WICKED WOLF : 4.5 STARS OUT OF 5/ 4 FLAMES OUT OF 5 => I've read a few of Carrie Ann Ryan's Montgomery Ink series, and having the opportunity to explore her Redwood Pack series was such a thrill. It had everything you would have expected in a paranormal novel - the shifting, the magic and the creation of a new world within the one we now live in, but all written in such a way that i was able to picture myself in their world. There were so many ups and downs that I wondered if I'd be able to make it through the book - one moment you're grieving with Quinn at the loss of his mate as she walked away from everything that should have been important for her; the next you're enthralled by the action, completely spellbound as you follow all the different plot twists that you wouldn't have expected, keeping you on the edge of your seat, hoping that the Alpha pack leaders haven't made a mistake. At another moment, you're fanning yourself as Quinn and Gia's relationship got stronger and the chemistry so palpable, you'd swear that you were the proverbial fly on the wall! Added to the 1001 Dark Nights series, Carrie Ann Ryan's Wicked Wolf was perfect!

HEATHER GRAHAM - WHEN IRISH EYES ARE HAUNTING : 4 STARS OUT OF 5/ 3.5 FLAMES OUT OF 5 => Being the second novel from Heather Graham from her Krewe of Hunters series that I've had the chance to read from the 1001 Dark Nights series and I have to come out and say it: Bravo! Bravo! More!! Even though it was cut short for a few things, for example, the length and for those who constantly look for the 'bad guy', I must say that I was hooked from beginning to end. To be able to read an M/M from Heather Graham, which I have not, nor did I know that she did write in this genre, was simply a treat I could read again every so often when I'd need a novel that would satisfy my craving for a murder/mystery with that little paranormal twist. As a newly married couple, Devin and Craig are called to Ireland to get rid of some ghosts at Devin's cousin's Kell's uncle's chateau [that was a mouthful]. Set in a beautiful area, I could swear I was in the hills behind the castle, Heather Graham's When Irish Eyes Are Haunting was the type of novel I enjoyed and wished I could have learned more about the couple and experience their amazing journey up to their wedding.

KRISTEN PROBY - EASY WITH YOU : 4 STARS OUT OF 5/ 4 FLAMES OUT OF 5 => I've never had the opportunity to read a novel written by Kristen Proby, and I was floored to meet Lila, Asher and his daughter, Casey. What surprised me most was the fact Easy With You is a murder mystery with the added bonus of sexiness I couldn't resist. Still grieving the loss of his wife, Asher, a detective, and his daughter move to the city, where professor at the Tulane University, Lila teaches. Following a string of murders at the university, Asher is put on the case, where the next target becomes Lila - the woman he had met and slept with 9 months ago. Another great addition to the 1001 Dark Nights series, Kristen Proby's Easy With You was an edge of my seat and nail biting novel that kept me wanting more from both Asher and Lila as they rekindled their relationship. As part of a series, it didn't feel as though much was missed, however, I would have liked, if there was a previous book about Asher and Lila, to have visited and experience their first meeting.

CHERISE SINCLAIR - MASTER OF FREEDOM : 4 STARS OUT OF 5/ 4 FLAMES OUT OF 5 => You'd think that as a police officer, Atticus would have had already found his happily ever after. In Master of Freedom, Cherise Sinclair has proven to me that even the 'good' guys don't want the cookie cutter woman by his side, but the woman who will be by his side and be his equal - that she's his sub is the cherry on the sundae. Gin is a psychologist at the prison where Atticus' brother is being held and when the two meet during a BDSM event, sparks fly, as do tempers when they try to determine their roles in each other's lives. This is the first novel I've read from Cherise Sinclair and the first time I've heard about the Mountain Masters and Dark Haven series and I must admit that I enjoyed the 'voyage' with the characters. From the moment they meet to the time they admit their feelings for one another, this was an amazing and sensual addition to the 1001 Dark Nights series that only made me want to go grab the rest of the books.

K.L. GRAYSON - LIVE WITHOUT REGRET: L.O.V.E.: 4 STARS OUT OF 5/ 4 FLAMES OUT OF 5 => This was my first novel read from K.L. Grayson and I was touched - I knew the pain of love and its joy, the need and the denial, and most of all, I remember meeting it, losing it and finding it. Live Without Regret was the book that made me believe in second chances and second loves when Brittany picks up the broken pieces left behind from her previous relationship and vows that her heart will stay under lock and key. That is of course, until she meets Connor - a man looking for more than one night, patient and will stop at nothing to prove that he's in it for the long haul. Their relationship gave me the 'oh my gawds', the 'awwwws', and the 'phew' as things heated up and Brittany finally realized that the past isn't the future. As a novel added to the 1001 Dark Nights series, Live Without Regret by K.L. Grayson was a great addition.

MARI CARR - OFF LIMITS : 4 STARS OUT OF 5/ 4 FLAMES OUT OF 5 => I am increasingly curious to find out just how many male friends still follow the 'bro code'. It's not something I haven't heard of before - heck, many teen friendships make sure that the no touching the sister rule is clear and precise, but how long does it last? That is the question that I asked myself while I read Mari Carr's Off Limit. For years Logan and Lacy have had feelings for one another but the code kept him from making a more and then his belief that she was simply too 'sweet and gentle' to handle the rougher nature of his desires. It doesn't take Lacy long to grab the bull by the horns and prove to him that she is more than able to be his equal and not the little girl that is his best friend's sister. Part of the Sparks in Texas series, this novel had a little bit of everything: the love of sweethearts, the love of dominants and the love of passion and it was a trio that worked well together as Mari Carr took her readers on a journey on how Logan and Lacy fell in love.
****
The fourth bundle of the 1001 Dark Nights series was a blend of so many genres that there wasn't any time or chances for me to find the 'boring' or uneventful or even think that the stories themselves were time consuming since they were novella lengths - roughly 100 pages or so each. Its variety made it entirely worth the read!

Overall rating: 3.5 Stars!
Wicked Wolf by Carrie Ann Ryan 3 Stars
So this was interesting. I haven't read the previous series ( Redwood Pack ) this bridges through, but I have read the first couple books in the next series ( Talon Pack ), so there was some knowledge going on here. I liked watching Gina and Quinn get to know each other. Yes, this was a novella, so stuff was super compressed, but it was still interesting. Gina realized what she wanted from the beginning and then when things came to light, and she knew (thought) things wouldn't be exactly what she'd wanted, she still was willing to try for Jesse. Shannon still rubs me wrong and I barely remembered her from my reading of the Talon Pack books. I did like the way Gina handled that little interaction though, and how she took care of Helena.
When Irish Eyes Are Haunting by Heather Gramham 3 Stars
I liked the setting of the castle. Liked the way Devin and Rocky worked together. Kind of want to read their story and see how they came about though. I liked how Devin clearly cared for her family and the way Rocky just kind of absorbed himself into it. I kind of saw the bad guy coming, although I will admit to being a little surprised at the connection.
Easy with You by Kristen Proby 4 Stars
I actually really liked this one. The way Asher and Lila hit it off was awesome and I really liked their chemistry. I kind of wanted to laugh at things when they met back up in New Orleans. I loved the way Asher cared for her, granted there was the notes but at the same time he still liked her. I loved how Lila took so well to Casey.
Master of Freedom by Cherise Sinclair 3 Stars
This was interesting. I liked the relationship between Atticus and Gin even though they had a bit of a bumpy start. I did want to smack Atticus for making a snap judgement, but I kind of liked that everyone else managed to do it themselves. On the one hand, I also wanted to smack Logan for being an ass to Gin, yet I could see that anger. I really wanted to smack Gin for walking away; she also made assumptions although I will admit hers were based a little more on a warped view of some things. I liked the way she thought things through when things happened at the prison; she knew things were coming and she also knew Atticus was looking for her. She didn't exactly resign herself to things, but she didn't go quietly either. I loved how she was with Trigger too.
Live Without Regret by K.L. Grayson 3 Stars
This one would have honestly been a 4* for me, but I got annoyed with Brittany. I saw the issue with Logan coming from a mile away (although I will admit to thinking it was more of an ex of Brittany's) and I kind of hated that she made all sorts of assumptions about things and then ran without giving Cooper a chance. I liked that Casey, then Logan, put Brittany in her place. And even Cooper to an extent. I will admit to really liking Cooper though; he was kind of sweet how he was trying to learn about Brittany.
Off Limits by Mari Carr 4 Stars
This was really sweet. I liked how Lacy realized what she wanted, and finally told Logan she was basically done tiptoeing around. She definitely spun things in their world. I did think Logan's clinging to the "bro code" was kind of stupid; although I could see it since he was scared of revealing things and having Lacy run away. I did laugh when Evan punched him though. You kind of had to see it coming and there's part of me that thought the way it happened was actually funny/sweet and another part of me kind of wanted to have something happen at the BBQ place. Like Macie making a comment that just threw that door wide open or something.

I liked these stories more than book 3, and will even be checking out some series the stories were in.

Some of the stories are okay. Cherise sinclair has the longest story but it's slow paced and bad language. Two of them are written in first person present which drives me nuts. Heather Graham's short story is the best of the bunch and it was predictable. The book is so big and heavy it's hard to hold. I like anthologies as you might just find a new favorite author.

These are perfect examples of what these writers can do. Both are great stories.

WICKED WOLF: I find funny the fact that the first novel I read in the Redwood pack series happens to be the last one. All the others are still on my TBR list. The novella serves as a link between the Redwood and the talon pack series. After reading it, I am a little more motivated about starting the series. I am giving 3.5 stars to the wicked wolf because it had so much potential that wasn't used as it should have been. The length of the novella is at fault here. I knew the author cannot do miracles, but I really wanted to see Gina developing a bond with Jesse and how her relationship with Quinn got evolved. I guess I will see that when I read the first book in the talon series. I would recommend the novella because it truly can be read as a stand alone title. I didn't have a problem understanding what was going on in this universe even though I hadn't read a book in the series before.

WHEN IRISH EYES ARE HAUNTING: This is another new series to me. I wasn't even remotely familiar with the setting of the story and this time I had a little problem getting into the story. After the first, maybe even the second chapter I got over that problem though, and things got easier for me since the author managed to draw me into the events of the novella. I will be adding the first two books of the series on my TBR pile in order to give the rest of the books a chance. The MC might be on their honeymoon, but the romance is barely there. Almost all of the book is about finding who is behind the murders, which is not a bad thing. I don't want to spoil anything but the end reminded me of the usual ending of a Scooby Doo episode.

MASTER OF FREEDOM: Again Cherise Sinclair delivered an amazing book. I have read all the books in the series with the exception of Edge of the enforcer and I found Master of Freedom the most action packed book in the series. Gin's work at the prison and her interaction with the inmates reminded me of Prison Break, one of my favorite TV shows.

The only problem I had with the book was the realization that all the heroines in the series have a past that is an obstacle to their relationships with their guys and it makes them feel insecure or feel bad for themselves. It's mostly an observation that I find a little cliche.

I liked how the author named a couple of authors who write BDSM novels and promoting them in this way and she didn't include herself (though if you have read one of her books, you will know that she doesn't need any self promo). I applaud that because I hate when the X author says: "X is such a talented author!" and things like that.

Seeing the characters from the previous novels in Master of Freedom is great. I loved seeing how they are doing after they get their happy endings. Becca and Logan have their baby and the others are so happy and in love and I love seeing them like that.

I fell in love with Sawyer, Atticu's brother. He is a great guy and I would advise you to not let yourself judge him for a mistake she made, hear him out first. Something that happened to him made me pause my reading and take a minute to digest what happened to him. That hasn't happened to me in a long time. Usually I continue my reading without a problem, but this time I stopped. That meant that I had not only liked Sawayer, but that I loved him, I really hope he will get a happy ending.

LIVE WITHOUT REGRET: This story had of one of the most entertaining twists I ever saw coming. It was cleverly crafted. I liked how the author staged it. I couldn't understand what happened to our heroine since I haven't read the previous books where I am sure is mentioned and she does not say a thing about it other than the fact that she was deeply hurt. The insta lust is there and some of you might not like it but I did. I am also waiting for Logan's book which I hope will be released one day. If I had to choose between this length for the book or a little bit longer I would have gone with the second option.

OFF LIMITS: Guess who added the three previous books of the series on their TBR list! Yeah, it was me. I have been a fan of Mari Carr since the first book I read by her. I like how she manages to give me my fill of romance in such a tiny packet every single time. The only way this one could have been better is if Lacy had found some way to make Logan insanely jealous. The BDSM stuff is light but very hot and enjoyable. I might not understand completely why Logan had a change of heart, but it worked for me and I won't question it further. What I loved the most though were the flashbacks. I couldn't understand why their order was from the most recent to the oldest, but everything made sense when I read the last one. That last one flashback was enough to make me say that this is my favorite story in the bundle.

I borrowed this purely for the Krewe of Hunters novella (14.5. When Irish Eyes Are Haunting) by Heather Graham. It did not disappoint.
When Irish Eyes Are Haunting
I did read all of the stories however, as I can't leave a book unfinished unless it is really awful!

This bundle contains the following:
Six Dark Tales. Six Sensual Stories. Six Page Turners.

Every Dark Nights tale is breathtakingly sexy and magically romantic.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - I LOVE THIS AUTHOR!!
This anthology packs a diverse punch: from the supernatural tension of Wicked Wolf with destined mates and pack politics, to eerie mystery and danger in When Irish Eyes Are Haunting’s haunted castle setting. Easy With You blends campus thriller vibes with intense chemistry, while Master of Freedom explores BDSM dynamics with raw emotion. Live Without Regret offers a heartfelt look at love’s unexpected pain and redemption, and Off Limits dives into a slow-burn forbidden romance that finally breaks long-held rules.

Each story balances steamy passion with emotional depth and strong characters, perfect for readers who crave romance with a little bite — paranormal, suspense, contemporary, and BDSM themes all in one bundle.

This bundle is the best way to experience several authors at once. I wanted to read this because two of my favorite authors had novellas here (Carrie Ann Ryan and Cherise Sinclair) and I really wanted to catch up on their series. Of course as always their novellas were both compelling and HOT! However all of theses were HOT and I found some new authors to read and follow. There is something for everyone in this bundle! If you love paranormal romance, especially shifters, then Wicked Wolf is for you! If your paranormal fandom runs more towards ghost mystery type stories then check out When Irish Eyes Are Haunting. While Easy With You and Live Without Regret both have contemporary romance with alpha males covered. If you are into BDSM then there is nothing hotter than Master of Freedom (one of my all time favorite series) and Off Limits.

Okay I have to say 1001 Dark Nights Bundle 4 is packed with tons of hot, passionate and sexy novellas that will blow you away. There was just so many in this bundle to just pick one I loved them all. However if I had to pick one from this beautiful bundle my favorite has to be Kristen Proby`s Easy With You. Something about Asher just made me zing in a way no guy in a book has done. He had this sexual aura that just well made you shiver and wish it was more than novella for this guy proved there was more to him. All in all I have to say you will not be disappointed in this book cannot wait for more from all these authors.

Love this bundle. The stories are all great and very entertaining..it's pretty hard to put it down once you start.
I love how different the stories are and the genres too.. there are very hot wolves, Irish legends, contemporary, BDSM.
I haven't read a couple of these authors before and it's great that I had the chance to discover new styles.
Other authors I already "met" and the stories in this bundle allowed me to find out once again why I love their stories and styles.
