The things that go bump in the night are real...and she hunts them.

Kamlyn Paige is a young woman who has suffered significant loss in her life. At nineteen, when she was seven months pregnant, her parents were in a fatal car accident. And at twenty-four, when her son was only five-years-old, he was murdered before her eyes by a cloaked figure in the middle of the night. It takes everything she has to hold on after the amount of devastation she's endured. But when a mysterious neighbor sees her crumpled on the sidewalk in grief, he picks her up and introduces her to a new world. She goes with him to the Chamber of Darkness, an underground secret society, where she learns to fight evil beings and creatures as a Huntsman. Her sole motivation to complete her training is getting revenge on the demon that killed her little boy. But while she's there, prophetic dreams reveal there is a mysterious traitor in the Chamber's headquarters and they are trying to get their hands on a goblet that will open the portal to unleash all the demons in existence into the human world. Will Kamlyn and her friends be able to figure out who the traitor is in time to stop them from destroying the human race?

I have been writing as long as I can remember. I always knew I wanted to write books that someday many people could enjoy. I have a BA in English, a Masters in Business Administration and Marketing, and a Master's in Education.

I enjoy reading as much as I do writing and learned a lot while I was in school about the different forms of literature and the different genres all throughout the world. I only hope that people enjoy my books as much as I've enjoyed reading theirs.

When I'm not reading or writing I enjoy spending time with my family, going for walks or hiking, being outdoors, horseback riding, and watching movies.

Broken Angel is an enthralling tale about a young mother's love for her son and the grief of losing him. Kamlyn, discovers there is more to the murder of her son than she thought. She is thrust into the Chamber of Darkness and trains to fight the demonic creatures.

Her characters are well defined an easy to relate to. I was hooked from the beginning, but was surprised as the plot entered another turn and took me on a fantasy ride that was well described and made me feel as though I was there with Kamlyn. There were a few grammatical errors, but the storyline made up for it. Can't wait to read the next book in the series.

Kamlyn Paige, a young woman, age nineteen has suffered so much in her young life. At the age of nineteen, she finds herself pregnant. When she tells her boyfriend, the father of her baby he tells her she has two choices. Her first choice, keep the baby and lose him. Her second choice, keep him lose the baby.

Well, I was so very proud of Kamlyn at this point my heart swelled. This is the moment when I fell in love with Kamlyn. When her boyfriend gave her those two choices she did not hesitate. She told him in no uncertain terms that she loved him very much but she was going to keep her baby and then proceeded to walk right out the door and his life.

Kamlyn feared telling her parents that she was pregnant. She just knew that they would disown her and throw her out of the house. Kamlyn’s parents were not happy with her pregnancy but they soon came around and dotted on her.

Then one horrific day she learns that her parents were killed in a car accident before her baby was even born. Kamlyn was left all alone and pregnant. Kamlyn fell hopeless in love with her baby boy after his birth. She loved being a mother so very much, more than any other thing in the world.

Then one horrible night Kamlyn wakes up to check on her son. When she enters his room she sees a hooded figure standing over her son but it was too late. The hooded figure had already ripped her five-year-old son away from her.

I felt so bad for Kamlyn at this time. She has gone through so much horror in her young life. She has suffered so much pain, loss, and heartache way more than anyone should ever have to feel.

A neighbor finds Kamlyn in great pain and decides to help her. This neighbor introduces her to a world of supernatural creatures. He tells her that her son was taken from her by a demon. He takes her to a secret place where she is to learn as much as possible about these supernatural creatures and how to fight them. Kamlyn spends her life hunting down and killing all the bad evil things in life all while searching for the one demon that ripped her son away from her.

I enjoyed reading Broken Angel way more than I ever thought I would when I read the summary. From the moment I read that first page, I was hooked. I was drawn into a world of demons and monsters.

A world of heartache, pain, and loss but let's not forget love as Kamlyn loved her little boy so much. All those twists and turns kept me glued to the pages not being able to take my eyes off of it as I watched and felt Kamlyn’s suffering.

Broken Angel is one of the best books I have ever read. It will be with me for a very long time and when I am not thinking about it, it will be tucked away in its own little place in my mind just waiting for the time when I bring it out to examine it all over again.

I would highly recommend Broken Angel to anyone looking for a great book to read. I would recommend Broken Angel to all ages. One-click your copy of Broken Angel today for your next great read!

Broken Angel is the first book in the first series I ever started writing. It has had many lives and it continues to be one of my favorite series to continue writing. Kamlyn Paige is by far my most favorite character I have ever created. Though this is a supernatural thriller series and she's not entirely 100% human, she is extremely relatable. I would consider this a New Adult since the main character is in her early twenties, but I have had readers ranging from high school to fifties who say they really enjoyed it. Kamlyn finds out after high school graduation that she is pregnant and it rocks her world, but she's prepared to go through with it and be the best mom she can be. Her parents are not happy, but they accept it and eventually becoming loving and doting expectant grandparents. In her seventh month, the police show up at Kamlyn's home and tell her that her parents died instantaneously in a tragic car accident. Fast forward a few years and Kamlyn is a young mom with an small inheritance and a paid-for house, raising her five-year-old son with the help of her best friend Cara who lives with them. Just when life gets comfortable, though, trouble can be expected. In the middle of the night, a mysterious hooded figure is found by Kamlyn in her son's room. She tries to save him, but the creature has already done what it came to do and escapes through the bedroom window. Kamlyn is devestated, now left with nothing, and she all but falls apart. While crumpled in grief on the sidewalk, a neighbor she's never met before picks her up and opens her eyes to the underground world of supernatural creatures and beings. He takes her to the Chamber of Darkness headquarters in Colorado where she trains with others to become a Huntsman of Darkness. She can never talk about her job, she can never settle in one place again, and she can never form relationships that might get in the way of her job. She will travel the world destroying evil before it can destroy the human race, all while searching for the one creature who took her son from her.

I won't go into much more detail, but there is so much action and adventure and mythology to enjoy in this book and series! Right now Broken Angel is FREE through all major eBook Retailers!

I received a copy of this book for my honest opinion

If you enjoy reading fantasy/paranormal, secret government companies that fight against paranormal beings/action and drama. If you love the TV show Supernatural then you really should try this book out.

I really enjoyed book 1 of this series a lot.

This book had everything I would expect from the first book of the series. Alex Apostol did a great job really explaining the plot of the book series, but at the same time she really allowed the characters to have their development shine through. In this case you get to see Kamlyn Paige's life change from not wanting to live after the death of her son, to a strong determined woman who will find the demon/creature who took her son from her.

I really enjoyed this book right off the bat, I thought the plot sounds great and being a mother of 2 helped me really want revenge for this mother who already had to deal with so much loss at a young age too.

I thought the characters were well written for being the first book and having a lot of growth from them. I really enjoyed that we have a secret government run paranormal team that goes out fighting the boogeyman and a lot of scary creatures. I like that even though Kamlyn was not from a family of descendants of The Chamber of Darkness, she went in knowing that she had nothing to lose and everything to gain. She took nothing from no one and was determined to show everyone there that she had every right to be there too.

I thought all the characters had a role to play in helping Kamlyn through her dark days and helping her become the best huntsman she could be. I think her group of fellow huntsmen will be a strong group of people she can rely on.

I did not think that we would get a small plot twist in this book, but I was happy to see that during the time of her proving that she should be there she was also on a mission to find the traitor to the company as well.

I most definitely will be picking up book 2 soon to see what else happens in this series.

I want to thank Alex Apostol for the opportunity to read and review this book.

If you like shows like Supernatural and Buffy the Vampire Slayer, listen up! 🗣️ Broken Angel is a quick paranormal read that might be right up your alley. Hunters fighting the forces of evil, Chosen One dynamics, broody mentors. You name it, Broken Angel has it! 🙌🏽

I really liked Kamlyn as an MC. Grief, survivor’s guilt, and a desperate need for closure are some of the most universal experiences in life and seeing Kamlyn endure that really endeared her to me early on. The love she has for her son is immeasurable and it fueled her every move. I really admired how determined she was to prove herself in the Chamber of Darkness despite being the odd one out.

I found the Chamber of Darkness super fascinating! Of course there are organizations that specialize in the paranormal! I like that we got to see the hunter initiates train and bond with one another. I wish we had learned more about other supernatural beings along with them, but I know there’s more to explore in the rest of the series.

Overall, I really enjoyed Broken Angel. It was a great introduction to an exciting series. This book is full of foreshadowing and you can tell that there’s a larger story brewing. I will definitely be reading the rest of this series when I get the chance. I can’t wait to see Kamlyn continue to grow and learn more about the beings she’s protecting the world from.

If you like kick a$$ female characters you will love Broken Angel. This story is a adrenaline filled rollercoaster ride full of a mothers need for revenge. Kamilyn Paige has experienced more loss than any woman should feel in a life time. The characters are crisp and well written. The dichotomy between good and evil, black and white, right and wrong is strongly inherent on every page. The twists and turns will keep you guessing and hoping that our main character comes out on top. The Academy where she trained did come off a little juvenile at times and I had to remind myself of the ages of the participants. There is much more to Kamilyn I think that even she knows and leaves an opening for this character to grow into who she is supposed to be. This is the first book I have read by this author and it won't be the last. The author leaves me wanting more and I cannot wait for the next book.

I love a strong woman as the protagonist of any story. Here. Kamlyn a young woman who has experienced great loss. At the age of 17 when she was seven months pregnant, her parents were killed in a fatal car accident. Then at the age of twenty-four, when her son was only five years old, he was murdered before her eyes by a demon It takes everything she has to hold on. A neighbor sensed her despair and took her to another world. What she learns in this new world takes into a battle for all of humankind. This is a novel that will bring you to tears, and a great sense of fulfillment. This was the first novel I read by this author, and I really enjoyed it. I can't wait until the next novel comes out. I received this novel from BookFunnel. This is my true and honest review.

Kamlyn Paige is an amazing young woman who has suffered great loss. She is given the opportunity to join a group of hunters who maintain the balance between the supernatural and the human world. This is the first book in the series, and I loved it. There is more to Kamlyn than is immediately known, and it seems this is a theme that merits further investigation. I will definitely read Earth Angel which is the next book in the series.

Quite suspenseful, evokes shivers and pain, although overall not very captivating despite there's a plot twist. Some characters are typically predictable and unfortunately still lack of developments and contributions.

If you enjoy the supernatural action and thriller, this one might be worth a try. Thank you!

Gritty and Supernatural

Grieving the death of her son, who was killed before her eyes, Kamlyn Paige is offered an opportunity to train in the ways of the Huntsman to avenge him. This story, the first in a series, was well written and thought out and concludes without a cliffhanger. There were a number of supernatural twists and turns.

I loved the main character. The plot was great, but for the loss of a noticeably young character which will not be entertaining for sensitive people.
