A brilliant collection

An extremely well written collection of haiku poems, rich in language and imagery. Each month and season of the year is eloquently described and characterised by the authors beautiful writing.

It’s no secret that I’m a fan of Anne Brooke’s haikus. I’ve been reading them religiously on her blog for a few years now, so when I saw she’d published a collection of them, I was rapt. My mistake, but I didn’t realise the book only conatined 52 haikus (700 words), one for each Sunday in 2009. I read them in a flash and, like fine choclate, I was left wanting more…
