This book has its act together. Aside from the most popular springs there are a few out of the way places. But . . . not too many, because those who live in New Mexico want a few to be private and hidden. We like secrets. Especially when it comes to hot springs. There are a number of guide books, but most are crap. This one is pretty good. The directions are clear and any instructions you might need (shut up and take your clothes off) are provided. Keep this one under the seat—you never know when you’ll want to jump into a natural spring.

A wonderful guide to the natural and business-run hot springs here in New Mexico. Where to find them, how much of a hike or bike ride it will be to get there and back, which ones are family-ok and which ones people are wont to enjoy without clothing. The descriptions of the pools make me curse my arthritis because I'd really love to see and enjoy some of them. This is *THE* book to grab if you want to "soak" in The Land of Enchantment.
