Evangeline Anderson is a registered MRI tech who would rather be writing. And yes, she is nerdy enough to have a bumper sticker that says “I’d rather be writing.” Honk if you see her! She is thirty-something and lives in Florida with a husband, a son, and two cats. She had been writing erotic fiction for her own gratification for a number of years before it occurred to her to try and get paid for it. To her delight, she found that it was actually possible to get money for having a dirty mind and she has been writing paranormal and Sci-fi erotica steadily ever since.

This is the first book in the Born to Darkness series by Evangeline Anderson.
This book is a mixture of Anita Blake and Sookie Stackhouse worlds.
You first meet Addison an non-glam which means no vampire can glam her and make her feel or image things in her mind. She's also a auditor for government to check on vampire owed companies or bars etc.
Alec Corbin is a very old vampire who owes Under the Fang nightclub and has loved Addison since she first checked his premises 2years ago.
Really good story just feels at times like its a bit long but a lot does happen and the struggle between Addison and Corbin doesn't feel rushed and develops is a lovely romantic story. Looking for to Taylor story (Addison BFF).

Addison and Corbin

Interesting concept; a human that can't be brain controlled "glam" by a vampire becomes an Auditor, someone that polices human-vampire interactions.

Addison, the Auditor, inspects Corbin's nightclub. She hates all vampires except one, her BFF who was forcibly made a vampire. Corbin has had a thing for Addison since she first walked into his club on an inspection.

I read all three together so my review is for all three.

Good read

Her attitude is a little annoying, but it fits perfectly with this story. I can't imagine how I would feel living in a world with vampires, and having to be very careful all the time. Careful about going out at night, catching the wrong person's attention, or worse one of family or friends being hurt. As usual, this author pairs a great story line with romance.

Good book better than I thought it would be. A nice quick read. I plan on reading more of her books. Book flowed nicely. I also enjoyed the characters.
