The two books in this collection are Unlikely Love and Their Destiny

The second story Their Destiny was more of a romance than the first. I decided to read this book as I'm trying to find some of the "older" works on Kindle Unlimited. This book was published in 2016.

Their Destiny was a nice short read about Chivonne, an instructor at a fashion design school who meets Denton, an actor working as a bartender. They meet one night at a club where Denton is tending bar and Chivonne is there with her friends. When a thug named JD gets handsy with Chivonne, Denton steps in to pretend he is her boyfriend. Later, while out jogging, Chivonne sees a flier for one of Denton's performances. She attends. Denton asks her out to dinner and the two begin a relationship. However JD, didn't appreciate Denton blocking him regarding Chivonne, so one night JD and his crew catch up with Denton and jump him right in front of Chivonne's mother's house.

After the attack, one of Denton's sister's approaches Chivonne, telling her to stay away from their brother as their family never had any contact with thugs until she came into the picture. Chivonne was from a poor part of town and Denton from the suburbs. Agreeing the the sister, Chivonne breaks it off with Denton. So the story was a take on the a Romeo and Juliet trope. Chivonne was raised by a strong single mother who told her she was good enough for Denton, Chivonne decides to give love a try.

I absolutely loved the length of the story. And it was very romantic and different in that with urban romance the thugs are usually the protagonists, but not in this story.

I tried to look for Perfect Passion Publishing. I see some older titles like this one, but I don't think they are putting out books anymore.
