Another good one..
Another sweet story. The players: Harrison, Lola, Daylynn, Aunt Alaina, Sally, Charlotte, Nellie, Philip and childishly silly Delia, were a great group of characters. (Aunt Alaina was one of my favorites. She was just a sweet old lady.)
I wasn’t crazy about Delia, in fact, I was almost starting to hate her when someone mentioned she was just like child and then I didn’t mind her so much. Then when she and Harrison had their talk I could see it. She was afraid of losing her son to Lola, the woman he loved, and the way she spoke to Harrison about it was so silly and childish she was suddenly alright, in my book. This was a good story and the end was such a terrific thing. What Harrison did for Lola and her friends was wonderful.
The sex in this book was a little descriptive but there were no swearwords.

Lola Whitfield planned on living the life of a spinster. She had promised her late uncle that she would care for her aunt and as she found out...men might want her, but not with an aunt attached. So she was as content as possible...considering she was working for the Allen's. Was...until the day he came home.
Harrison Allen couldn't believe his first love was working as a maid for his parents. Or that she got fired because of his foolishness. He had been sent away from home over a decade ago because of Lola...he was not going let his mother ruin his life further.
A Cinderella type story. Lola had once been in the society group until her parents died. She couldn't see how she would ever be accepted back into those ranks after she had been a maid and waitress. Because she may have caught Prince Charming's eye, but his mother was more like the wicked witch.

Another great story by talented author, Jillian Hart.
Book three of the Timber Valley Brides is about Lola and Harrison. When they were younger, Lola and Harrison were best friends and then they started falling for each other and his parents sent him away to boarding school. Now Harrison is back to help his injured father and finds Lola still single, and still very much in his mind and heart.
Lola has been through a lot since Harrison left. Now that he's back, her feelings are strong about him but she knows they are at different social levels now and he would never be able to be serious about her. Besides, his mother would never allow it.
This was a wonderful story about young love holding on. Loved Harrison. He was a very loyal sweetheart.
This story did contain sexual content.

Harrison's mother sent him back East to separate him and Lola. Harrison finished school and worked at a bank.His father hurt his back and after trying to work and couldn't they had to get Harrison to come back. Lola was working as a maid. Mrs. Allen fired Lola when Harrison got home and he slipped from the wet floor. Love won at the end. They was getting married.
