I am a fan of Lynette Eason's writing, having read and enjoyed many of her books. This one just didn't click with me, sadly. I liked it enough to finish reading, which says a lot, because nowadays if a book isn't working for me, I abandon it.

Very good short story. I forgot about this one until someone mentioned it was an online read at the Harlequin sight. A baby goes missing during a family reunion. Fingers are pointing at Jennifer's cousin. Her old flame, FBI Special Agent Trevor Hanks convinces Jennifer to play girlfriend again so he can watch her cousin. There was a lot of action packed into this little story.

This was a free read on the Harlequin website only 20 short chapters and was able to read in less than hour. Old flames come back together over a baby selling ring. Can they both get past what tore them apart so many years ago to stop someone close to home from selling babies?

Good suspense here, in a baby-black-market kind of way. The danger is a little closer to home than the family would like. It's good that the ex-boyfriend, now FBI undercover, is available to rile everything up and drop back into the lady's life....
