They have been best friends forever. Tru even named his band after an incident that happened when they were kids. Kids grow up and feelings change and Georgia and Tru both kept their feelings hidden under the guise of friendship. Both have always loved music, and to this day, Georgia has been behind the scenes writing the songs, fine tuning the music and helping to make Tru the star he is, but time has pulled them in different directions, even after all they have faced together.

Tru needs Georgia now, and her life is in upheaval, he will do anything to have her near, anything but admit how he really feels or why he really needs her. Two souls who can sing and play from the heart have trouble with connecting on the level they both so desperately need. Has that chance for love passed them by? Is it possible to still be friends when so many secrets stand between them?

Finding Rapture by Jennie LeAnn is a heart-wrenching tale of love, loss and facing life head on by letting go of the fear and following one’s heart. Tru tries to do whatever he can without coming out with the words Georgia needs. Georgia is lost in her own world, which is rather dark and unsettling. They have their moments, but seem to miss the most important ones. Wonderful supporting characters give depth to this unique take on romance. Hang on for those moments that will shred you, frustrate you and keep you turning the pages.

Finding Rapture by Jennie LeAnn and J.L. Sprague is a heartfelt romance that explores love, loss, and the courage to embrace happiness after heartbreak.

Georgia Rain has spent years shielding her heart after tragedy taught her how quickly life can take everything away. Now, she’s ready to step into joy again. Tru Braden, the charismatic frontman of the band The Bitten, has loved her from afar for over a decade, waiting for the moment to truly enter her life. But Tru’s world in the spotlight and his own devastating news threatens to pull them into uncertainty instead of the rapture they both seek.

The novel’s strength lies in its emotional depth and character-driven storytelling. Georgia embodies resilience and hope, while Tru’s struggle between fame, vulnerability, and love adds a raw honesty that makes him unforgettable. Together, their story asks whether love can triumph over fear, grief, and the pressures of living under a public gaze.

Tender, passionate, and full of emotional resonance, Finding Rapture is a romance that lingers, reminding readers that joy is worth fighting for, even when the risks feel overwhelming.

Finding Rapture by Jennie LeAnn is a simmering love story between lifelong friends Tru and Georgia. Both characters have overcome a lot of obstacles to get where they are today. In this story, it bounces between their past and their future. It is done so in such a way that it never confused me. It was seamless with its delivery and style.

This was one of those stories where you think it’s going to go one way but it throws you several fast curveballs. There is drama, comedy, and best of all romance. I will recommend this story to others. I look forward to reading more from the author.

I give it 5/5 Platypires.

Finding Rapture is an amazing novel. It is the first book in the Bitten series and the first book by Jennie that I have read. This is the story of Tru and Georgia; they have been best friends most of their lives. They both share a love of music and they seem to grow together through their music but has Tru outgrown it and their friendship?

I loved this unique story line. This is different from any other music/rocker type book that I have ever read. This novel had all of the aspects that I love; drama, secrets, action, and, of course, a love story. Jennie pulled me in from the beginning and never let my attention go until the very end. I think I experienced every emotion possible while reading this book; I laughed, cried and everything in between.

The characters are well written and easy to relate to. Poor Georgia went through so much as a child. I felt so sad and sorry for her for all that she had to endure. I was also glad that she had Tru as her best friend; he was always there for her when she needed him. I always felt that she would gladly return the favor if Tru ever needed her to. When the time came even after it seemed like he was pushing her away, she was there for him when he needed her most. Georgia was a little quiet and shy but she was very strong. Tru was almost perfect; smart, sexy, sweet and a lead singer of a band. Together they were an amazing duo and a force to be reckoned with in the music industry and in life in general. Even the supporting characters added a lot to the story. I could easily see myself being friends with the whole band. If you like a love story and bands you will love Finding Rapture. I cannot wait to see which band members book is next.

Three platypires for Finding Rapture!

I've gotta be really real with y'all, it took a lotta debating between me, myself, and I before we figured out what to rate this one.

On the one side, this story has so much potential. It seriously should have been a great, gut wrenching, suspenseful, dramatic, coming of age rock star love story that should have kept you pinned to your kindle. It has all the elements. There's the history of the BFF relationship with the rock star frontman turned passionate (albeit totally PG-13) lover with a heart of gold, the drama, the plot twists, the suspense till the end, and of course the room for several more books in the series - it's theoretically ideal. The formula for a solid, special story is spot on.

However, for me, the telling of this tale fell a bit flat. Don't get me wrong, some of the raw emotion definitely came through. But, it was still a bit sporadic for me, and just a bit off. Like it could use a bit more fine tuning, maybe? But, the potential was so totally there that I'll totally give book two a shot. I definitely feel like Jennie is going to blossom into a totally solid writer, and I don't wanna miss out on that.

I was given a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Tru Braden has it all. Fame, fortune…all starting at a young age. There is one thing he wants and he just has to wait and she will be his.
Life likes to throw curves our way too..making what we want, sometimes what we need.
Georgia is ready for her life to begin. Graduate, move..continue to hide in the shadows of her best friend. Tru and Georgia have been best friends forever. Time to cross all boundaries and let love take hold.

“I just…right now, GiGi…” He swallows again, nerves pouring off him in waves. “I can’t do this with you. I just can’t. I need you as my best friend. And only as my best friend.” He might as well have reached into my chest and pulled out my heart –and he knows it.”

A little bit of everything in this one. We get a look at a young Tru and Georgia bouncing back and forth from past to present. A great friends to lovers romance with angst, drama, some suspense, love and a really good story line. I can’t wait to see what the future holds for these characters!
