«Los padres, la familia y los profesionales no podrán dejar de observar que la historia de Kenneth ofrece una visión fascinante de la vida de una persona con síndrome de Asperger. Este libro es de lectura obligada.» Del prólogo de Ken P. Kerr «Kenneth Hall escribe con una inocencia, una sinceridad y una capacidad de introspección quizá sólo posible en un niño.» Arlene Cassidy, directora de Parents and Professionals and Autism
An excellent insight into Asperger Syndrome (AS). Kenneth give readers a unique opportunity to see inside his mind and try to understand his thought process with child's uncompromising honesty. He says himself that "Children with AS are the best people to tell you about AS". He is right I could not have put it any better. He is aware of some of the traits that make him different, and describes why he does some of the things he does. Reading the book if you know anyone with AS you will probably see similar traits to what Kenneth describes. Kenneth say that God has a plan for everyone and his could be to help other people with AS, with this book he has made huge stride in that direction. It is very helpful, insightful, and easy to read and understand. However not all people with AS are the same so it is not a good idea to take what is written here as the be all and end all. It should be taken as a great insight to build on further research.
I found this book a unrealistic view of AS. This is the type of book that makes people have negative views of people with AS. With consent grammar mistakes, talking about how if something dose not go right he flips out, wanting to stay in his room all day, and not wanting to try new things. This is OK, but he says all AS kids are like this. He even contently talks about his random things sometimes with a example, he is talking about his believes and than talks about the Titanic. I did not like this book at all.

Good basic teen level book, probably good for someone recently diagnosed Asperger or for friends, family or teachers of an Asperger child. Pro-ABA. A Christian flavour, that may be unwanted for non- or ex-Christians. Kenneth also has a sky high IQ, which may not reflect realistically to NT readers the average capabilities of a/A people. Intelligence is a spectrum too. Not all a/A people have genius IQs.

I really can't see how any1 could give this book anything but 5 stars..if U give less than 5 U have never been around any1 with AS..Kenneth was 10 years old when he wrote this..It tells his thoughts, his feelings, how he copes w/ AS..It described so well how my son thinks especially when he think certain things are pointless..Like school work..or he likes to have alone time sometimes..This is the best book on AS because it is from a boy who actually deals with it every single day..It took great courage for him to open up and write this book..Any1 who gives it less than 5 does not have a son or daughter with AS..
Very interesting book. Kenneth wrote this when he was eight years old. He says he wrote it himself, but he must have had a little help with editing and grammar. I don't know.
It was interesting to see written out how he thinks. There were some interesting things in it. Like how he claims that all people should be fair, but he is so quick to point out how he refuses to do things because "it's stupid and pointless". Reminds me of SO many kids I worked with last summer.
This is a very charming book written by a boy with Asperger's, about his experience with the condition. It isn't just about Asperger's, though, Kenneth Hall also talks about his interests and has a very moving faith in God. Regardless, he has a positive view on Asperger's, which is helpful for anyone who's just been diagnosed, and for their loved ones.
I highly recommend this book to any person with Aspergers Syndrome and their parents. The author is a very remarkable 10-year-old boy with AS. In addition to giving a very positive and encouraging analysis of his difficulties, he expresses his spiritual perspective on responding to the challenges of life. I was surprised by how much this book moved me.
This book was amazing. Written by a 10 year old boy with Asperger's syndrome, he explains what it is like to live with AS. He is funny, sensitive and very smart and vulnerable. His earnestness and faith in God is truly inspiring. I read this several years ago.. and I'll read it again.
Wonderful little book written by a 10 year old with Asperger's Syndrome. Kenneth Hall really lets you see inside his world and there was much I could relate to. I think this book would be helpful to any parent of a child with AS and a child with the condition would get a lot out of reading it too.
A book about aspergers from a kid with aspergers - you just can't find a clearer picture of what a kid with asperger's syndrome might be experiencing than this.
