A clear and engaging line through what *else* is created when a song is written. Here are the answers to the many questions that plague my students regarding copyright; royalties; synch placement; cowriting; performing rights organizations; and so much more. Having been a writer himself, Eric also gives indispensable advice on how navigate a word-of-mouth world with the grace and etiquette required for a long and fruitful career.
I began recommending this book in my classes before I even finished it. It's that good.
Excellent book, was required reading for me at Berklee Music but if I had known about it otherwise I would still have found this a very valuable book as a songwriter.
