Four women. Twenty years. Five hundred bridal fashion shows. They’ve been friends since they were five, and modeling for Enchanted Bridal has been as much of a part of their lives as their friendship has. And this season has them seeing more than new wedding trends.
Hailey’s family owns Enchanted Bridal and she knows there’s a possibility that someday it will be hers. She’s not sure that’s the path she wants to take, but she does know that she’s been hopelessly crushing on the perfect man and bridal show model Logan Baxter III. While failing to gain Logan’s attention, she can’t seem to get rid of the less-than-perfect man – and model – Jackson Carr. He’s big and bold and tattooed – pretty much everything Hailey despises. And yet…there’s something about him that has Hailey questioning her definition of perfect.
Becca’s got a knack for dating the wrong kind of guys. When her current boyfriend publicly dumps and humiliates her, she’s devastated. Wanting to run and hide, she’s mortified that the stranger who had witnessed the entire scene is now part of the Enchanted Bridal family. But when Max Abrams offers her comfort and tells her that he thinks she’s beautiful, she has to wonder if maybe getting dumped by Mr. Wrong has finally led her to her very own Mr. Right.
Angie’s loud and feisty and completely fearless. That is until she gets dumped by the one guy she really had feeling for. It opens her up to insecurities she didn’t know she had and she’s not sure what to do about it. But when Sean Patterson comes back into her life in a big way, she’s not sure she’s ready to forgive and forget quite so easily. His persistence and her stubbornness make for an exciting chase, however, but at the end of the season, it’s ultimately up to her if she’s ready to quit running.
Ella’s been planning her perfect wedding to Dylan Graham since she was twelve. Together for thirteen years, Ella’s beginning to wonder if that number really is bad luck. She can’t focus on all that’s right in her life because all she can think about is what she may be missing. Their parents have taken over their wedding, her friends all seem to be in crisis and Dylan’s just not listening to her fears. Not one to ever make waves, she suddenly finds that that’s exactly what she’s doing and turning everyone’s life upside down in the process. The life that she once considered boring is now the one she longs for, but it may be too late.
Four friends. Four crossroads. Four possibilities for happily ever after.
Samantha Chase is a New York Times and USA Today bestseller of contemporary romance that’s hotter than sweet, sweeter than hot. She released her debut novel in 2011 and currently has more than seventy titles under her belt – including THE CHRISTMAS COTTAGE which was a Hallmark Christmas movie in 2017! She’s a Disney enthusiast who still happily listens to 80’s rock. When she’s not working on a new story, she spends her time reading romances, playing way too many games of Solitaire on Facebook, wearing a tiara while playing with her sassy pug Maylene…oh, and spending time with her husband of 30 years and their two sons in Wake Forest, North Carolina.
Hailey, Becca, Ella, and Angie have been friends since first-grade. Starting when they were five-years-old, they worked as flower girl models for "Enchanted Bridal", a business run by Hailey's mother. Through the years, the girls have been promoted to model bridesmaid dresses, and are now wearing the wedding gowns. The women meet for lunch every Saturday to catch up on their lives. Ella is planning her own wedding to Dylan; but is overwhelmed when her mother tries to take over. Hailey is trying to get Logan, one of the groom models, to notice her, but it doesn't seem to be working. Becca is humiliated when her boyfriend dumps her in public. And Angie is devastated when Sean suddenly stops calling her. Will the Friday night brides get their acts together and become real brides soon?
This was a quick read with four romances in one book. I thought the stories were interesting and kept me wanting to see what would happen next. I just didn't like how many scenes with the boyfriends were cut short, only to learn what eventually happened with the recap at the girl’s lunches. I would rather the author show me what happened instead of telling me. I know this book was as much about the girl’s friendship as the relationships with their men, but the way the story was told could have been better. My rating: 3.5 Stars.
This is my first book by Samantha Chase, and it will not be my last.
This book is about a group of women, all in somewhat different places in their lives who have the common tie of a bridal shop and a fashion show at that bridal shop.
It is hard to review this without spoilers if I say more than what is already in the blurb about the book. So what I will say is I got to know Hailey, Becca, Angie and Ella. They felt like friends. I feel like I could walk up to any of the characters in this book and chat with them like we were friends.
The writing is smooth and fluid. The characters and settings believable and the dialog feels like you are hearing the words of an actual person.
I recommend this book, and this is not going to be the only Samantha Chase book on my "read" shelf.
Alright we got four strong, female main characters so for this review I'm going to do something different and and put the names as categories and write something about each of them: ANGIE: Angie had to be my favorite her personality was like mine, feisty, outgoing and dramatic at times, “shut your a**!” Angie cried as she spun in her seat to face Hailey. “What did you say? What did he say? Oh my god, this is so exciting!” HAILEY: Personally I think Hailey has a stick up her butt, but that changes where sexy Jack is concerned he's the spice that she needs, “then obviously you haven’t had great make-up sex,” he countered." ELLA: This girl here could be all giddy at times those were the scenes I enjoyed the most with Ella, “oh my God!” Ella cried. “What did you do? Did he stay? Did you do it? Was it good?” She fanned herself wildly and then looked at Becca, Hailey and then back at Angie. “Was it wild and intense? Oh… I bet it was wild and intense!” BECCA: Becca is the cautious one and damn that girl found a good man in Max, “I was trying so hard to be a gentleman with you. I knew you had been hurt and I didn’t want to rush you. Every time we’ve been together, I’ve had to fight the urge to touch you.” FINAL THOUGHTS: Overall I enjoyed this book I loved the girl and their men are sometimes saints with all the patience they've had with their women.
I love how Samantha Chase mixes it up. She can do drama and heartache like nobody else but she also has a side that is funny and sassy. That side is put on full display with Friday Night Brides. Angie, Ella, Becca and Hailey are a close group. They have shared so much of their lives that it's only natural. When life, love and maturity start to change the dynamic of their friendships is when the chaos begins. I received an ARC of Friday Night Brides in exchange for an honest review. Getting to see a different side of Ms. Chase' personality was a real treat. I also had a blast getting to know these women. The one thing that never changes for me when reading a Samantha Chase novel is the sincerity that she puts in every single one.
Four women who have been friends since the age of five are now in their mid-twenties and still best friends. Hailey's mom owns a bridal shop, Enchanted Bridal. Hailey and her three best friends, Angie, Becca and Ella have modeled for the shop since they were five beginning as Flower Girls. Now, twenty years later they are the brides in the fashion shows.
This story is about the friendship these four women share. They are each very different in personality and profession but have a connection that has been nurtured through the years. They are present for each other regardless of the situation or circumstance.
We watch them navigate life's ups and downs from break ups to wedding plans. They discuss everything with each other, nothing is off limits. Boyfriends come and go, but these four are committed to each other.
The characters were fun and we got to know each one of them as the story unfolded. Angie was my least favorite with her sarcasm and attitude and Becca was my favorite because she seemed very real. The book ended with each of the women happy with their lives, no loose ends. It was almost too perfect for me.
I had a little trouble with the co-dependency of these four. One couldn't make a decision without consulting the other three. When Ella and her fiancé had a fight and broke up all four of them went to see him to try and work things out. That was extreme and just odd to me.
Overall I enjoyed this book when I approached it as a light, fluffy, fun read.
Don't remember how I got this book, purchased, freeby, or author giveaway. Light hearted, fun book about four young ladies who started out modeling as flower girls, working their way to brides. They became best friends with no judgement. As the each one grew into their own with their own set of issues and tribulations, the friendship bond grows as well.
Very touching story of the four ladies who grew up doing bridal fashion shows. From flower girls to brides. Now they find love and plan their own weddings.
Fun,flirty, sexy! What a great read! Am looking forward to reading the next book in the series! I highly recommend this book! Thanks Samantha Chase for sharing this story of a great friendship with us!
“Did he mention if he was living in his parents’ basement? Because that would just be the icing on that train wreck of a cake.”
“A million things raced through her mind, but first and foremost was how she had answered the door while wearing her yoga pants, an oversized t-shirt, no bra and with her hair up in a ponytail. It was the quadfecta of horror.”
“I think I may have underestimated you all these years. Behind your tiny Tinker Bell exterior, you’re a little bit of an evil genius.”
My Review:
Friday Night Brides is my favorite Samantha Chase book so far, granted I have only read three, but I am sticking with this one for now. I enjoyed the plot of four twenty-something young women, friends since kindergarten, and who had spent every Friday night since working as models in fashion shows for a bridal boutique owned by the mother of one of the four women. They had started as flower girls and worked their way through the ranks of attendants to bride status. The story revolved around their supportive friendships, love lives, appetites, relationship hiccups, personal histories, and heartbreaks. I adored their every unique and quirky distinctions. The writing was entertaining, fun, observant, heart squeezing, relevant, occasionally steamy, and hard to put down. More please.
I received this book as an ARC from Net Galley for my honest review
I gave this book four stars because it was very well written and had a story line that made a lot of sense about four best friends that have a friendship that has weathered the test of time, drama and heartache. I love that Samantha Chase did a great job creating four completely different woman that were able to bond over their love for all things bride related.
What gave me pause was that the story line was slowed down by conversations that were already discussed and arguments that were unnecessary. BUT I guess if I think really hard maybe it does sound like a day with my besties!
Overall a pretty good book that reminds me of Sex in the City and in some weird way Little Women (don't ask I'm just saying!). As usual good job Samantha Chase.
Four women have been friends since childhood. They model wedding dresses for one of their mother's shops The Enchanted Bride. Follow them as they navigate life as friends and grown ups. Their loves, their losses, the ups and the downs. To have one close friend is a blessing to have three for life is nothing short of a miracle. Friday Night Brides is one of the best Samantha Chase novels I've read. Smart, funny, sexy, sassy and awesome. I highly recommend this book to all my contemporary Romance fans.
It's been a very long time since I have read a book that was written around a group of women. This is also the first book that I have read by Samantha Chase, but it definitely won't be the last. This is about four girls who have been friends since they were five and all started "helping model" as flower girls on up through bridesmaids and brides for the one girls mother's business. They are all grown and life is starting to reach out and make changes with all of them. A really well written and thoroughly enjoyable story!
What a wonderful read about four friends and their lives. I enjoyed reading about all of them. To know that no matter what, they always had three friends there to help. It was great to see how they were all different but yet so close. I enjoyed reading how their relationships blossomed.
I recommend this book. At times it was pulling at my heart strings. Just a warning, it does end with a slight cliffhanger.
Samantha Chase has delivered another wonderful romance with Friday Night Brides, the second book in her Enchanted Bridal series. Samantha Chase has once again provided her readers with amazing characters. I love that all the characters in Friday Night Brides feel like family! Who doesn't love hot sexy men, strong, passionate females, and loving friends, who always support one another? Samantha Chase continues to deliver all that and so much more. I really enjoyed Friday Night Brides and am looking forward to reading the remaining books in the Enchanted Bridal series. I have read other books by Samantha Chase and have really enjoyed her wonderfully written love stories. Samantha Chase has once again shown that she is an amazing storyteller. Friday Night Brides did not disappoint, I could not put it down and loved every page. One of my favorite parts is how Samantha Chase incorporated the title of the book into the love story. I enjoy how Samantha Chase writes from the perspective of the main characters. That way you get to know what is going on in each of their minds. Friday Night Brides is a wonderful love story and is filled with heartbreaking and heartwarming moments. I love the lighter moments where I find myself smiling and laughing out loud and the bittersweet moments that cause me to sigh, say aww to myself with tears filling my eyes. Friday Night Brides be filled with such moments, and with so much more. It is filled with all those things that we have come to love and expect in a Samantha Chase love story, especially the poignant and bittersweet moments that filled this page turner. Friday Night Brides is the story of Hailey, Ella, Becca, and Angie, best friends since they were five years old. Hailey, Ella, Becca, and Angie started modeling, as flower girls for Hailey’s mother, Judith James’s Enchanted Bridal. They continued modeling on Friday night, until they were the Friday Night Brides. The story details the relationships that each woman has or dreams about having. Ella and Dylan have been together since middle school, Angie was in a relationship with Sean Peterson until he ghosted her, Becca and Max have a new relationship, and Hailey and Jack and the man she did not know was in love with her, who was always there on Friday nights. I love that each couple experienced some difficulty or challenge in their relationship, they all showed their vulnerable side and they each of them changed because of their love for one another. Surprise plot twists change everything for each couple and then they finally make it back together. I loved the ending of story and how each one of them remembers the dreams they revealed from the night they celebrated their first show as the bride. I love that each one of them got the happily ever after that they each dreamed about. Friday Night Brides contains all the things that I have come to love most in a Samantha Chace story, romance, great characters and setting, bittersweet moments and the plot twist that ties it all together. Amazing story. I could not put it down. Cannot wait to read the other books in the series.
This book reminded me of my best friends from Middle School and how each character in the book was one of my friends. This is the story of four women who had been friends for at last 20 years. One of the main characters, Hailey's mother owns a bridal shop called "Enchanted Bridal". The girls have been modeling in the fashion shows since they were 5 starting as flower girls. Every Friday Night, the girls, Hailey, Becca, Angie and Ella model as Brides now in the shop's fashion shows or expos. The plot is focused on the ladies and their love lives or lack thereof! Basically it's man problems and trying to find the perfect one while still trying to focus on a career that's rewarding and satisfying. I really enjoyed this book it kept me up late one night (work night) until I could find out how each situation was resolved. Hailey's mother and owner of the shop has some secrets of her own but didn't interfere with any of the girls' drama or impart any unnecessary advice. She did seem to know what was going on with each of the girls and understood their strengths and weaknesses, she loved them like daughters. This book is pretty much a beach read or something light and fluffy after reading something disturbing or mind twisting. Part of a series called "The Enchanted Bridal Series" and also has a prequel novella, which I'm starting now! "The Wedding Season".
1.5 at the most rounded up because I know I am not the target audience. I listened to the audiobook. At ~50% through, I asked myself why am I still wasting my time with this drivel. I chose this novel because I recently read and reviewed (for NetGalley) the fifth installment in this series and really enjoyed it. It was a fun light read that did not contain the annoying crap that pervaded this novel. This book is full of YA slang, technology, social media and cheap sex scenes. Most of the dialogue drips of 20ish angst. All of the characters are 20-somethings. I am not a 20-something and have not been since the 90s. Therefore, I am not the target audience. A woman in this age range may enjoy and related to these characters more than I could. The story is about a group of female friends who grew up together modeling in bridal fashion shows for the mother of one of the group. All of the women blended together for me, except for the one who is marrying her one and only boyfriend. When I was a university student I worked in a bridal shop and hoped the bridal shop featured more prominently in the plot. Other than a fashion show, nope, no bridal salon. This book fell so far short of my expectations. I may even think the book is worse than it really is because it did not live up to the other one I read. I doubt I will bother with another in this series.
Hailey, Becca, Ella and Angie have been friends for 20 years. Hailey's mom has had them be her Friday night brides since they were old enough to wear the wedding gowns. Prior to that they were the flower girls. When all of their lives are not exactly going smoothly, they lean on each other for honest opinions and answers. Ella is engaged to Dylan and they have been together since middle school. When she questions what, if anything, she is missing Dylan is rightly confused. Becca has self-esteem issues and they are front and center most of this book. Angie is not known for holding back her punches and lets them all know what she is thinking. Hailey is stuck-up and kind of snobbish and her friends have to call her out on it on occasion. They each meet are entering an exciting time in their lives since fate has seemed to put their potential soul mate into their lives. I won't give away what happens so you will have to read the book to find out. I will say that each of them had their own moments of putting themselves in a bad position with someone they love. Ella was the hardest to fathom and I felt like she was the one who surprised me the most. Angie was the least likable of the four of them to me. It was nice to see how it all turned out.

Oh man I really really enjoyed this - Hailey and Jack's storyline just had me smiling all the damn time - Angie annoyed me a little bit - I really loved Becca and Ella - I really loved how they evolved from this quite codependent group into a little bit more individualistic without ever losing or invalidating their friendship - Found this one much more enjoyable than book #1 - The book was very focused on the relationships which isn't necessarily a bad thing but I did feel like we missed other parts of the girl's lives and personalities because of it - I thought the author would struggle to deliver 4 love stories in 315 pages but it worked, and honestly I think it worked well because we weren't there for absolutely every moment of every relationship - Really good sense of what needed to be included and what could be cut
Friday Night Brides by Samantha Chase is the second in the Enchanted Bridal series, and is about Hailey, Angie, Becca, and Ella. The four women have been friends since they were children, and have worked their way from modeling flower girl dresses for Hailey’s mom’s bridal shop to modeling the wedding gowns.
Samantha Chase’s book is the four interwoven stories of these four and their relationships. Ms Chase does a great job balancing the different women and their friendships and relationships, and they truly love each other even as sometimes they know each other so well they also get as close as family.
Friday Night Brides is a terrific read, and is both dreamy and real-life. Terrific job, Ms Chase!
This group of friends 🙌🏻 I loved each of their individual personalized, backstories and romance. Jackson was my favorite male and Angie my favorite female. I knew I would enjoy this story bc SC is an excellent storyteller, but these characters and how relatable they were had me with all the feels as the story progressed. I did see the ending in terms of the store taking place the way it did, and how the girls would end up with their loved ones, but the antics, drama, laughter and fun made each page a fun read that I didn’t want to put down.
I am enjoying this series. This story had so many characters and at times, it was hard to keep track, but the journey was still fun. Even though Sean Peterson had a bigger role in book one, he only made a few appearances in this story. I was hoping for more from him. All the girls were fun and they have such a close relationship. I really loved Max and Jackson. I especially liked how the author ended the book. Well worth reading.
Hilarious following of four best friends over twenty years worth of modeling all things wedding from flower girls to actual bridal gowns. However, each one seems to have their ideal husband and wedding but none of them think that they are on the road to achieving their dreams. Oh how misleading real life can be. Filled with wonderful characters, four separate storylines that intertwine in the best possible way and heartwarming tales of love. The perfect combination from Samantha Chase.
This was much different than the other books I have read by Samantha Chase. Where this one tells the stories from 4 different girls perspectives, it's unique in its own way, but still good. It did take me longer to get into because of that. However, I felt it was worth it. Like reading 4 books in one all intertwined. I really enjoyed it even though I did prefer reading some girls perspectives over the others.
If you are looking for a sweet story about very relatable young friends finding love and their way through life then look no further. This book was a breath of fresh air and just super sweet. It has a Hallmark feel to it but was really funny too, so if that's your jam then give it a go!
I started the Audiobook a while back but didn't love the narrator, she was distracting to me for some reason. But the book is awesome!
Nearly all of these characters are idiots, and often act out of character. The women give each other bad advice (get drunk before trying to seduce him WTF) and often make each others' problems worse instead of better. I didn't really care about any of the characters and I had trouble keeping track of them.
Friends since they were 5 years old they are looking for their dream man as they work for one of their mom's bridal shop. So many different awesome different characters that are colorful intriguing and fun. The storyline will keep you wanting to read each time which girl will have a chance at love. Even though some of them don't really think that they'll ever find their true love.
GREAT Story!! I LOVED this story! The friendship between the girls and the relationship turmoils they are all dealing with was written so perfectly. I felt like I was a part of their group while reading this story. I read the other books in this series and they were all great but this one is now my favorite!!
Friday Night Brides is great book about friendship and finding love. It reminded me about my friends. I couldn't put the book down. I liked how all the friends they have each other backs. The guys in the book are great as well. I felt everyone's story was well told and was weaved together great.
I've really enjoyed Samantha Chase's books and this one does not disappoint! I love the group of four friends and going through their journeys with them. Looking forward to the next one!
