Some ghosts from the past just won’t stay dead.

They say time heals all wounds, but what about the ones repeatedly ripped open and left to fester?

Frankie’s just trying to forget her past and find a way to move on without letting old demons drag her down.

Enzo is determined to save her while desperately holding on to the tattered threads of what they once had.

His impulse to always protect her and her fierce desire to never depend on him again put them at odds when Frankie becomes the object of obsession for a psychopath and they’re forced together once again. With nowhere to hide they must finally face their past and unearth secrets long since buried.

Will they be able to move on from their shared ghosts together or will outside threats force them to go their separate ways?

I'm going to be honest here... although I rated this the same as the first book (Omerta), I didn't like it as much. That is not to say I didn't like it, but I expected this to be more like what I had already experienced. Unfortunately that wasn't the case.

In the first book, we got a brief introduction to Enzo and Frankie, and I liked them. But I didn't have a lot of love for Frankie in this book. For someone who is against hugs and feelings, she was pretty freaking emotional. And how she dealt with Enzo kinda pissed me off because I am not a fan of games. Mind games are for immature losers IMO so having her try to use her brain or manipulate his emotions in any way took away from her likability for me. Enzo wasn't the greatest hero either, however, I liked how protective he's always been towards "Franny".

Thank the good Lord that I got to see Carlo, Mia, and Angelo in this book. It helped me swallow this a bit easier. I'm interested to find out if there will be a story featuring Antonio and Mallory (or if one already exists. I obviously haven't done my research).

Overall, a good read. This was a story with tons of potential, starring a psychopath that you would least suspect (unless you read the epilogue of the first book).

Enjoy! xo

Vendetta is the second book in The DeLuca Family Series and is Frankie and Enzo’s book. We met both of them in Omerta, and we really got to know them in Vendetta.

Frankie and Enzo definitely have a history, if you’ve read Omerta you can tell there is something going on with them, but to what extent, you really don’t know, until Enzo lays it all on the line in this book. With a stalker creeping Frankie out, and the readers being the only ones who know who that person is, and Enzo and Frankie at each others throats for a portion of this book, it makes for some very good reading!

It took me a while to warm up to Frankie in this book. She had started to grow on me in Omerta, but then it was back to square one in Vendetta. The way she treated Enzo and how she refused to hear him out just grated on my nerves at times, but then when we got to see the past and what went down with these two, it finally clicked. I understood why she had walls up against him, and why she behaved the way she did around him. I was glad that these two were forced to work through things and finally communicate because they truly do belong together, I just wish that the circumstances were a lot different, because what brought them together was completely horrible.

Enzo on the other hand, I loved him throughout this entire book. He has always wanted Frankie, and always tried to do what was right. Even when he made promises to others, he tried to keep them while breaking his heart in return. When things got tough, he always had her on his mind, and I loved how he never really gave up on her. He may be a mobster and not the best of guys, but he really does love her and would do anything to keep her safe and have her in his life.

This story isn’t as bloody and gory as Mia and Carlo’s book, but the story is just as intense. I loved how the readers knew who was tormenting Frankie, but no one had a clue who it was, and as the reader you knew this was going to come to a head and it wasn’t going to be pretty. I also really enjoyed seeing Mia and Carlo and watching their relationship continue to progress and watching the family continue to grow. Vendetta was a great addition to this series, and I am really enjoyed this book! I can’t wait to see who’s book is next and what happens next in this crazy mafia world!

Holy. Shit.
This book was insanely good. Frankie and Enzo's story was just...ugh... Right when you think you've got the story line figured out, bam! Another twist! I loved it!

Two boys, as different as night and day, fall in love with the same girl. Years later only one will get the girl.

Loved the suspense in this story. Usually when we know who the bad guy is, it's not as interesting. Not so with this story. It's more of a how is this going to turn out?!? That is actually why I gave this 4 instead of 5 stars - I forgot about the romance for awhile and didn't really connect with them.

If you enjoyed and loved the first book in this series than you are going to love this one too!! The second book Vendetta in the DeLuca Family Series is nothing short of amazing. I could not put this book down. I was entranced and enthralled once again. Damn this woman is a fantastic writer!!
We are reintroduced to Enzo and Frankie in this book. What an epic ride that you get taken on with their story. You are given more insight into the past history with these two. What has brought them together and what tore them apart. Can they actually stand a chance of reconciling it all with a psychopath on the loose, that seems determined to have Frankie as his own? What lengths will these to have to go to, to not only keep themselves safe but those that they love? Will there be a happy ending in their future? Murder, mayhem, mystery and mobsters...4 M's, what more can you ask for? Other than some of the hottest steamiest sex scenes I've had the pleasure of reading.
You won't be disappointed in picking up this series. It's wickedly good.

Good read for Enzo and Frankie

I liked Enzo and Frankie. Their characters were so hilarious with the miss understandings. Come on guys don’t go years without talking and you both work for Carlo. Conversation should of been had way before now. Even though it took clear and present danger to bring these two under the same roof, I was so glad that Enzo found his backbone and pushed through the hard conversation with Frankie. The writing of that scene was impressive and realistic. I think we needed a bit more information on Eddie. Like when did he become violent? During prison? During the gang? In book one, Carlo and Mia, this Eddie character was playing both sides so he could come out on top and hold the power of the street gang. Eddie’s storyline was missing big pieces of time. And it was unclear because Eddie could of had time with Frankie but stayed away so something else happened. This area of the story did not add up. The book was good for Enzo and Frankie. Read On!

Vendetta is the second novel in the Deluca family series and picks up just a little after the first one. Mia and Carlo are planning their wedding and expecting their first child. However the story is not about them. It is about Enzo, Eddie, and Frankie.

Enzo, Eddie, and Frankie have always had a past together, having grown up together. You get flashbacks to their past, which allow for you to get to know their dynamics better as the story unfolds. There's many surprises that unfold as you go, I won't tell you what they are since you'll have to read for yourself. Since Eddie was killed off in the first book you watch as Enzo and Frankie fight their attraction to one another, for reasons that again unfold as you read.

I couldn't put this book down. KA Ware drew me in and kept me entertained, I wanted to know what was going to happen next.

Though book 1 Omerta ended with a HEA and no cliffhanger book 2 Vendetta will make more sense read in order so you already know all the players in the game and their back stories. In Vendetta you learn of Enzo, Eddie and Frankie's pasts together and while apart.
What I did like about this story was the main's character's never lapsed like in the first book. Enzo was a caveman Alpha in book 1 and continues into book 2. We learn about Eddie in book 2 but his character stays on coarse through the book and Frankie goes through the same emotions and strong female role would.
This isn't so much a mafia romance more a mystery/thriller romance which ends without cliffhanger with a HEA.

Great follow up!!

Vendetta is the second novel in the Deluca family series and wow what a ride!!!
This book picks up just a little after the first one and the wild ride at ensues made this another book I couldn't put down and proceeded to read in a single sitting.
Ms. Ware has an amazing talent at drawing you into the story. Her characters are flawed but the strength they have is amazing.
Enzo and Frankie have grown up together and have fought and attraction for years. There is a stalker in Frankie's life and Enzo has vowed to always protect her.
The banter and scenes between these characters is wonderful. I cxant wait to read the third installment!!!

Oh boy, where do I start? Book 2 of KA Wares DeLuca family...it was really good! The author is maturing more on her writing and I see great things for her.
Frankie is a tech genius who considers herself a nerd and lives it up with pride and a lot of attitude! Her best friend Enzo has been taking care of her their whole lives until he turns 18. When he comes back, the sparks flame up consuming them both. Mia and Carlo still have an appearance in this book, but this is Frankie's story. She must face the truth of the past to be able to move on. It is definitely well written and I loved every minute and every page.

A good romantic thriller.

Frankie and Enzo are married, but have a strained relationship. They are forced to be together when Frankie is being stalked. I like the characters. At times, I find being stupid when it comes to accepting protection when she knows there is a stalker after her. Both Frankie and Enzo must come to terms with their feelings and past. There are steamy scenes. I took away one star because of too many flashbacks. I don't mind one or two flashbacks, but this has too many for me.

I did not think it was possible to pull off an even better book then Omertà but the mic has been dropped. I loved Enzo and Frankie's story! Full of twists that kept you engaged from start to finish!
I have another book boyfriend because Enzo is just that AWESOME.
I can already tell that i will be re-reading these books..
Nothing like a bada$$ author who can breathe life into epically amazing characters!
This author has easily become one of my favorites. Would I recommend her??? HECK YEAH!

Sigh!!!!! I was blown away with Enzo and Frankie's story.
There are so many variables to their story I was on the edge of my seat throughout the entire book!! I loved being able to catch up with the other characters as well. The character development was incredibly in depth that you FELT what they were going through the entire story.
I can't wait to see what is in store for all of Deluca crew..

Excellent second book in the series! While Mia and Carlo were no longer the main characters we still get to see some of their antics scattered throughout the book. Frankie and Enzo definitely were a whole other type of great romance neither from mafia background yet they definitely belong. The tension was oh so palpable throughout their story and emotions such as guilt regret and overall love all were wonderfully interwoven. Totally need to read what happens next!

A must read!

After reading Omertà and loving it, I had to then read Vendetta! This book sucked you in from the very beginning. It tells the story of Frankie and Enzo. They have know each other such they were young and kept their feelings for each other at bay. Until circumstances made them rethink their relationship. If you want to know what happened, then read this book. I truly enjoyed it!

As I suspected this book is even better than the first. The twist and turns are beyond and I adored Frankie and her badass attitude and I loved Enzo and the way he was willing to do anything to protect her. It goes to prove that sometimes the 2nd time around is the best! I seriously cannot wait to see what happens next! K.A. is quickly becoming one of my favorite Mafia authors and can easily fit along side Bethany-Kris and Hayley Faiman and of course the great Tijan.

FANTASTIC!!! KA does it again. This second book in the DeLuca Family series is incredible. This is Frankie and Enzo's story. We gain insight into their past and the demons they hide. Their past comes back to haunt them when Frankie becomes the victim of a crazed stalker. Will Enzo be able to protect her from this psychopath? Or will a ghost from the past destroy them both? This story held me captive until the very end. Another exciting addition to this series. I loved it.

I love that you find out about a secret marriage. Like what? They are the perfect couple. Frankie and Enzo may fight like they hate each other but their love runs deep. Between the secrets and lies it's hard to keep straight what is what then throw in a childhood friend turned Jack the ripper and it's a recipe for disaster. It was an awesome read that kept me wanting more.

Another knock out of the park! I could not wait to read Enzo and Frankie's story. It has mystery and depth. K.A did an amazing job weaving the story line to keep you guessing. Enzo and Frankie are a second chance romance, they have off the charts chemistry and wounded pasts. It was so much fun to read there story of finding their way back to each other. Another amazing book in the series!

Love will win over revenge

Eddie faked his own death and plotted revenge on Enzo. He was delusional and focused on one person, Frankie. In his mind she was his. See how Enzo and Frankie’s love prove to be stronger than the evil of a crazed and dangerous Eddie.

A freaking coincidence that this is the second book titled Vendetta that I read for this year. But this one is good. Jesus. Loads better than Omerta to be honest. Everything about this story just tugged me right to the feels.

I was a little bit bothered that this whole book came and went that we didnt even know Enzo's last name or even Eddie's! I am guessing this tidbit of information is crucial to the story. Nevertheless, this would definitely one of the books the I would always come back and revisit too.

>Book Review – Vendetta –

>I am an independent reviewer. This is the second book in the DeLuca family series and ends in an HEA. This book tells the story of Enzo and Frankie who grew up together, along with Enzo’s cousin, Eddie, recently deceased in Book 1.

>The action follows directly after the action in book one. Mia and Carlo are planning their wedding and the birth of their child. Mia is the epitome of pregnant mafia bridezilla. Frankie and Enzo are both mourning Eddie, and secretly fighting an attraction to one another. There are a lot more flash backs in this book, detailing the close relationship between Enzo, Eddie, and Frankie. The violence level is lower than in the first book, but with a serial killer and stalker, there is still a lot of violence.

>Once Enzo and Frankie get together, there are a few huge surprises, I won’t mention. This story was a great follow up to book one. I enjoyed Carlo a bit more than Enzo, but both men are alpha without any apologies. I can’t wait for book three. Rarely do I read a book with both the male and female characters being equal in their alpha personalities.

>This story is appropriate for an adult audience. I am giving the story 5 stars.

This story begins exactly where the first book ended. Frankie, Enzo, Mattie and Eddie's mother are still mourning Eddie planned death. Eddie had been planning it for years along with planting body parts in the warehouse before the explosion in the last book. The book was well written with great characters which made it very hard for me to put down. It covers deceptions, secrets, jealousy, violence, stalking and a serial killer. Mia and Carlos were planning their wedding along with the birth of their baby and trouble was lurking around every corner but was managed well. I'm looking forward to book three.

Good to hear from this crew again

I read the first book a while ago and really had to refresh my memory on the characters. I liked Frankie a lot. Her brassy attitude and nerdy appeal is a character I dig. It was nice to read the history of all three and that they got their happy ending. I wish the book was a little longer and felt that it was kind of predictable. Something more dramatic was missing that could make understand why they would be so distant for all those years.

Fast

This book is not just a couple in love working through their problems and finally admitting their live for one another. No it is also a fast paced, mafia family ties , stalker -murder mystery. A great read. And yes you can read it alone, but I recommend reading Omerta, the first Deluca family book. Also a great read.
