A Bad Boy Romance

I’m going to marry the playboy Navy SEAL for one million dollars.

Nash Bell is sexy, arrogant, and totally filthy. His war memoir is selling like crazy, making him one of the most famous people in the country. But he hates the limelight and needs me to fix his bad boy reputation to help get him back into active duty.

All I have to do is pretend to be his wife, and then I can afford my father’s medical bills.

I know I’m just a tool to him, but I can’t help but let him use me.

I don’t want to lie to America. But the cameras are on all the time and I need to play my role.

It’s strictly business between us. Except for when he whispers how badly he wants my body.

This should be easy. We just need to convince everyone we’re the perfect couple, despite the fact that I think he’s an arrogant a**hole.

Then Nash can leave, and I can help my family.

This should be simple.

So why do I want him to stay?

No. Just no. The simplest way to describe this book is to call it a fricken disaster. Every single thing in this book was a nightmare. I love my men all alpha and dirty talking and confident, but Nash was just all wrong. He is so fricken full of himself and not in an attractive way. His whole "She's saying no, but i know she wants it" made him sound like a rapist frat boy. Him constantly commenting about how thick, big and large his cock is was just pathetic. Men shouldn't constantly brag about what they have. It's childish. Selena was just as bad. How she could possibly see ANYTHING good in Nash is a mystery to me. And the sex. Oh god. I felt like i was reading the script for a cheap 80's porn movie. It was horrible. All i could do was cringe. Honestly that's pretty much what i did for about 95% of this book. That dinner with the parents? No. I honestly couldn't believe what i was reading. I need to scrub this book from my memory.

Also for some very strange reason if you get the Kindle Unlimited version of this book you get SEALed Bride, Bastard's Baby, Bow Down and Hard Bastard. So not even going to attempt to read the other books.

Let me start by saying I am a huge Suzanne Brockmann fan. HUGE. So when I read books about Navy SEALs I can't help but compare them, even when I try not to. With that being said, I did not get the impression Nash was a SEAL. SEALs are extremely disciplined, they have to be to make it through all their training, and Nash seemed more like a college frat boy than a Navy SEAL. And his sex talk was OTT. Don't misunderstand, I love dirty graphic talk as much as the next romance reader, but there were times I was thinking "Really?" rather than being turned on.
My last issue was I felt like the whole was rushed. Selena was on tour with Nash so there was plenty of time for them to get to know each other. The author wouldn't even have had to put in anything extra, she just could have written something like, "A week had passed..." and it would have given me the illusion that there was more going on in the book.
I feel bad that my last few reviews have only been on books I've rated low, but I feel it is my responsibility to explain why I didn't like something for other potential readers.

Nash was one seriously dirty mouth SEAL, and hot too. This is an interesting assignment for a SEAL to have. Selena agreed to his proposal of marriage, and said no sex, but that didn't last too long. Nice little epilogue too.

I couldn't even finish it

I really dislike writing bad reviews but I just can't help it with this one. The writing is ok and the dialogue is so stunted and awful. Nobody talks the way this main character does, there's nothing sexy about this Navy Seal Nash Bell he's just an asshole.

A hot and steamy seal story!!!

~~~I received an ARC of Sealed Bride by B.B. Hamel for an honest review!~~~
This is the tenth book of B.B. Hamel's that I have received as an ARC and reviewed, and she never disappoints!!! Though she is know for her step-brother books, this time she switched it up and wrote a Navy SEAL non-step brother story. She still has the head-strong, obstinate heroine, and yet now she has the rough, arrogant, bossy and sexy Navy SEAL hero!
Serena was a student and worked hard to get good grades and didn't have time to date. She just needed to get Nash to give her an interview. So when she ask him to sign her book at the book signing, and he wrote in the the have dinner with me at this place she knew she has to do it.
Nash Bell is a ex Navy Seal who is on a mission for the armed services. He is the author of a book about his time in the armed services. He is touring with the book and he doesn't want to be. He wants to back in the line of duty serving our country. He is arrogant, sexy, filthy mouthed, yet every woman in the world seems to want him. He is hoping this book will get him back where he wants to be and that is fighting and killing terrorists. He hates the limelight and the touring and in order to fix his reputation of being a typical womanizer and party boy, he is told to cool it or it would not be good for him. In order to get back at the publishers he decides to get married. So he approaches a college student wanting a story for her school paper and proportions her with the one thing she cannot turn down......MONEY!!!
I loved the concept of a good college girl wanting to do what was needed to assist her parents financially with her father’s medical care and bills. The meeting and aftermath while dealing with Nash. The flow of the story was good, had trouble putting it down until I was done. The sex scenes were well done, thoroughly explained so you felt you were there watching them go. If mature scenes are not your thing, then don't read any of Ms Hamel’s books!!! I will recommend this book to anyone who loves a good sexually charged romance with an added twist of danger, and I look forward to the next book that B.B. Hamel writes!!!
Ok, I don’t know what it is but B.B. Hamel just keeps on impressing me with each and every book written at the minute. SEALed Bride has instantly become one of my favourite books by this author. Having not only a ‘fake bride’ theme but also a hot SEAL with a filthy mouth, this story captured my attention right from the start.
Telling the story of Nash and college senior Selena, the chemistry between these two is undeniable. Moving at a fast yet perfectly written pace, the story has a solid, clear plot and the way the relationship is developed between the two characters is surprisingly drawn out and not just the obvious instant hooking up you would expect. Much to the author’s credit, the fact that they aren’t instantly all over each other actually enhanced the story for me but she also managed to include enough sexual tension brewing in the build up that I couldn’t wait to see where their story would take them. It also allowed us as the reader to see the naturally changing feelings towards the other character as the story progressed, despite them not necessarily recognising it. The curve ball of drama and action that happens towards the end of the book I definitely didn’t see coming for one second and loved the extra twist it added into the story, followed almost instantly by such a heartbreaking twist.
SEALed Bride is well written and as a long time fan of this author, I have to say, from the moment I started reading this book, it just seemed to be written to an even higher standard than usual. The short but sweet ending/epilogue we got rounded off the story perfectly.
If you are looking for a HEA, standalone, smoking hot book with a crass talking alpha SEAL and enjoy a fake romance storyline, definitely do not hesitate to read this book! I thoroughly enjoyed it.
*I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. I was not compensated for my review, and I was not required to write a positive review. The opinion expressed here is my own.
I received this for a honest review. B.B. Hamel always does such an amazing job. Love her work. Be prepared tis book is going to get pretty hot and steamy.
Selena was going to college to be a journalist. She had went to a book signing to talk to the famous handsome Navy Seal, Nash Bell, who had written a book. She was hoping to talk him into an interview. She noticed that a lot of his followers were women.
Nash wanted nothing more then to go back to active duty. He hated the book tour and all the interviews. He had his publishers on his back to clean up his image. Nash had been partying hard and taking a different woman each night. When he saw Selena he saw an opportunity to get his publishers off his back. So he invited her to dinner.
I can not imagine what Selena thought when he gave her a business opportunity to marry him for a million dollars. This would help her parents so much. Her mom and dad were going through something and needed the money. The thing is Selena could not tell anyone the circumstances that surrounded the marriage. She had to pretend they were in love. Come one how many of you are thinking if a hot sexy rich man gave us the business chance to marry him for a few months and pretend we were love, wouldn’t you jump on the chance?
I loved the interaction between Nash and Selena’s parents. It was very interesting. I think Selena got to see a different side of her mom and dad. Not only did Nash surprise her but so did her mom and dad.
I really did not like Melissa in this book. I guess if there was one thing I could change in this story, that would be Melissa being put in her place. You will have to read the book to see why I did not like Melissa. Got a feeling you will not like her as well.
Though Selena wants to keep things business with Nash she finds it becoming very hard. It is not long before the two of them come hot and heavy. Feelings they were not expecting start developing.
When I first started this book I was not certain if I liked Livy or not. I have to say by the end of the book I gain a whole new respect for her. Sorry need to read the book to find out why.
all I can say if you want to read a hot and steamy book this is it. but it also has a serious and honest quality side to it. I mean the Nash was at first lost, it took someone like Selena to show him kindness and understanding. Then the whole thing where they could keep their clothes on. She said that she wasn't going to have sex with him, but within a couple of days she couldn't stop herself. He said he was this so he could go back into active duty. Then When Selena abducted and held at gun point his whole world changed. He didn't have to kill the man, but he did. because he threatened Selena's life. Then be finally made them all happy, and the movie was being made. so no more book tours. They was going to LA and hopefully staying there for awhile and Selena liked that idea. they was so happy. she was falling for him.
Then her mom called and told her that her dad was bad off and she needed to come home, she ask Nash to come with her. He said that he couldn't, because she knew what he wanted. She was so heart broken. he asked her to come to LA after her dad got better.
Nash was so miserable, he was drinking way to much. He thought about Selena all the time. he didnt do anything for the movie but sit on the chair. Finally one day Livvy is watchdog as he called her. she told him who she really was and she outranked him. She said to go see Selena that she would cover for him.
He was so nervous, He was about to tell the only woman that he ever loved that he did love her and he didn't know how she would take it. She was made at him and he had to tell her something, so he just came out and told her that he loved her. She kissed him and said that he couldn't leave her ever again. Then she said I love you to asshole!
They still had this little joke about him not wearing a shirt. Her father had passed away and they was going to name their baby after him. Nash went from being a loner to being loved and a family man. all it takes is the right woman. I got this book for free as an ARC for an honest review
I received this book in an exchange for an honest review. I must say this was the first time I've read a book with this type of storyline and I really enjoyed it. Main characters are Nash and Selena. Nash propositions Selena to be his fake wife and in return he would pay her a large amount of money. The story was pretty fast paced but still interesting. It took some time before these two finally admitted their feelings towards each other and once they did the ending was pretty amazing. There were alot of steamy scenes which I enjoyed very much. What I also enjoyed was Nash's way with words. I do highly recommend this book it was well worth the read.
The story is very emotional with some unexpected twists. The squabble of Nash and Selena and the denial of their mutual feelings is delicious, the interactions steamy, though sometimes a bit long-winded. This story made me laugh and cry. I love it.
Sealed Bride: A Bad Boy Romance is by B. B. Hamel. It has a great story and the characters are realistic. It does have explicit sex scenes and the language gets to be too much. I would not recommend it for underage readers or those who do not like explicit language unless you are able to ignore the language.
Selena Wood is a journalist for the student newspaper at the University of Pennsylvania. Her assignment is to interview the author of the new military book which has just come out. She needs to get an interview with Nash Bell, the Navy Seal who wrote the book. She finds herself standing in line with tons of young girls who are madly inn lust with Nash. Can she get the interview?
Nash Bell is a Navy Seal who was injured in the last mission he was on. While recuperating, he helped a ghost writer with a book about some of the missions he had been on. Of course, there was nothing in it that would hurt the military. He sees the book tour as just another mission until he can get back to active duty. Meanwhile, he has managed to drink and have loads of fun with women on the tour. However, this is irritating his publishers and they demand he tone things down. He doesn’t want to give them the pleasure of thinking they can order him around so he gets a plan of his own. He will find someone and pay her to marry him and defeat the publicists on their own turf. Then he meets Selena.
To find out what happens next, read the book. You can read it in one sitting.
Review
I am not sure what to say about this story, I know it will be popular and I can see its appeal so I am rating it on that. Honestly it is not my cup of tea but I am sure I will be in the minority. I read it so I review it that is only fair and I know it is good for what it is. It is an erotic sexy romance about a navy seal who marries a nice girl to cover himself because he is ruining his public persona by his crude out of control actions.
That is the part I find difficult, he is a real hero but he is so crewed it makes me cringe. He is an appalling example and disgrace and I hate that about him. That is not a spoiler that is a fact about the book. Anyway, read the book and decide for yourselves as I said before I am sure I am in the minority.
Famous SEAL needs a wife...
This is a hot fake marriage book with instalove and a possessive hero. I’m not always a fan of fake fiancé and fake marriage tropes, but it worked for me here since the Hero was obsessed with the heroine the whole time.
The SEAL Hero has become famous for writing a book about his experiences overseas. He decides to get married when his publisher complains about his playboy lifestyle.
The heroine needs the money he’s offering her to be his fake wife, so she decides to go through with the temporary marriage in name only. Only... it’s definitely not in name only 😄
Overall, this book was what I needed it to be this past (very busy) week: an easy-to-read book with lots of heat!
This book is not one of them that writes about SEALs in action. Not much is happening in regards to storyline. Just a lot of the two of them on planes and in hotel rooms. It's still an enjoyable read, although I got really annoyed by them saying allegedly "filthy" things to each other ALL the time. I personally think being filthy in the bedroom entails more than just swearing a lot. But that's a different kind of book.
First I wanna say the book finishes at 25%. Normally this bothers me but the author notes that it happens which was a big plus. Nothing works me more then getting a book that isn't even half.
Second this book could have been better if Nash wasn't so crass. It wasn't sexy at all and at one point I was ready to give up because of it.
Awesome read
The characters were engaging and the plot was good. Gage was sexy as hell. This book was a panty melter. I always root for love, and this didn't disappoint. The sex was hot and with Gage? You kept begging for more. He made you want to drop to your knees and do whatever he commanded. I don't want to give away more, so I'll leave it at that.
Why
I read the intro and I hoped with the subject matter the young lady wouldn’t be so young!! I hate that. A college student!! How about making women at least finish college and have some normalcy before making them sexual objects. I just feel they are too young and will immediately delete the book with the female being barely out of her teens.
Nash and Selena! And Colin and Bennea!
Both story's were good,The guys were tough and really cared for their girls! The girls were strong and knew what they wanted in their man.Nash and Colin fit them to a tee!Read these story's fast action,laughs in places and a little frisky business, not boring, but then I have always love B.B. Hammel stories!Enjoy!
Hot story, but I do think that the reason she agreed to marry him was a bit unreal.
Like she was searching for a reason to go through with it because of lust.
The sexual tension and scenes were off the chart though, so I would recommend this.
I received a free copy and this is my honest review.
Well, I'm glad the author warned me at the beginning that this would be done at 25% as I would have been disappointed. Forgive me but I prefer a little more story and a little bonus. I actually found the whole story not that great. This book was not for me unfortunately.
