I find this series such fun to read. Addison is hilarious and in true Southern fashion has drama following her from place to place. The sexual tension between her and Nick can be felt throughout the story and one hopes she chooses wisely as she contemplates marriage.
There are a few issues I had with the book itself. There is great author discretion taken in the series. Time and hair and even babies are subject to change from book to book. I re-read the first four before starting this one and these changes are glaring. It threw me off a bit and I had to keep "forgetting" what had been said/done in previous books. A few things in the storyline seemed a bit rushed in this book, but I still enjoyed the story. It's a good, quick read with plenty of humor which I enjoy.

Enjoyable and silly. Addison novels remind me a lot of Stephanie Plum. And Aunt Scarlett is funny as hell. I love the way this one started and the build up leading to that point in the timeline. Great cast of characters. Truly made me laugh out loud several times.

Between 3 and 3.5 stars. Very, very funny. But so many contradictions / inconsistencies, it became frustrating. First in the series I actually read rather than listened to. It made me notice that it could do with some good editing and some serious proofreading.

Former high school history teacher, Addison Holmes, recently got her PI license and is now working at her friend, Kate's detective agency. The case she has been assigned to is that of a lawyer who woke up in a bathtub full of ice missing a kidney. Everyone agrees the guy deserved it since is isn't a very nice guy.
Addison needs wheels so she takes a tip from a fellow PI and buys a van from a "broker" named Ugly Mo. She can't afford the full price so he hires her to see if his wife is hanging out with his competitor. Addison's friend, Rosemarie, who is a teacher, and Addison's 90-year-old Aunt Scarlet help her out with the investigations.
In the meantime, Nick, a police officer, who Addison has been dating, has recently proposed. Though she's in love with Nick, she is hesitant to get married because she'd caught her former fiancé fooling around on her wedding day just before the ceremony.
This is the fifth book I've read by this author and I liked it. Though it is the fifth in the Addison Holmes series (I've read them all), it works as a stand alone. It was a light fun book to read. It is written in first person perspective from Addison's point of view. I liked the writing style ... it was amusing. There were some typos and grammatical errors (I've found that will all her books) and inconsistencies (for example, Addison gets a short haircut and comments she hasn't had it styled since high school yet in the last book, she did). As a head's up, there is swearing and adult activity.

4.25 Stars. Good stuff! A fun read with Stephanie Plum-like hijinx. I think I missed a book or two in this series, so need to go back and read them.

Since I’m a sucker for punishment, I did finished it, I had to skim through some parts but finally finished. I have to admit I found interesting the way the wrap up the mystery but felt super any cathartic when they didn’t actually tell you what happened to them in the end. Sadly I still stand by my original review, and the not telling what happen breakers even with the stars.

First I'm sorry but I just can't any more. Addison is an stupid bitch, she is the definition of TSTL and I just can't take it anymore. She is hot and she is cold towards everything especially Nick, everything stupid thing she does, EVERYTHING she justify it by being a southern woman which is a complete BS. I hate that especially in this book she is literally a different person at every turn. She is supposed to be 30yrs old but she acts like a 18yr old baby.
I had this feeling in previous books but was curious enough to continue reading, the mystery aspect is an afterthought and she somehow (conveniently) ends up in the middle of the main one and has like 3 other minor ones that doesn't actually have a conclusion, just like she did it and that was it. Also each book ends up with a little cliffhanger and in the next you find out that several weeks have passed and that cliffhanger has already been forgotten by the characters. Everytime I read that I felt like I was being cheated of an actual story and/or ending and just given the cliff notes of what the author wanted to characters to go through. I reached my limit so this is the end for me.
Also, can we talk about the change in characters between books?? Maybe I didn't understand it (English is not my native language) but seriously, in one book the grandfather was dead and Nick parents where fighting him for the money he left him, in other it seems like he is alive and we hate him because we aren't going to change the sheets where he slept last when he visits after the dogs slept in there in case he visits again, but then in this one we are supposed to love him. So I don't know if they are talking about the other grandfather (I don't really think so) or the editors just didn't care. Also apparently Nick's mother is now an alcoholic, go figures...

They say imitation is sincerest form of flattery. If that's the case, Janet Evanovich should be very flattered. This book was recommended for me because I like Janet. It's no secret that Stephanie Plum is my guilty pleasure. Addison Holmes is clearly based on her. Check it out:

She's in a relationship with a hot cop, but there's an equally hot bond enforcement agent that tempts her on a regular basis. Her Grandmother likes to tag along and get into trouble and she has an arch nemesis who slept with her ex-husband.
Addison Holmes is a private detective who isn't great at her job. Rosemary is her donut eating choir teacher side kick. She's in a relationship with a hot cop, but there's an equally hot FBI agent that tempts her on a regular basis. She has a 90 year old great aunt who likes to tag along and get into trouble and she has an arch nemesis who slept with her ex- fiance on their wedding day.
Hmmm. Okay- still, I enjoyed the story- even if it felt a little like deja vu.
Also, there was no reason for the arch nemesis in this book. She didn't add anything to story except to make Addison more like Stephanie. Maybe she had a role in other books, but if you deleted the part about her, there would be no impact.

3.5 stars....this story, unlike all the previous ones, actually has a mystery that runs through it and fill more of the pages. There is still way too much side story of everyone's sex life. I really hated the "once you go black" shtick. Not only is it stereotyping, it is downright racist. Addison spends more time pursuing leads in this book than she does having sex, thinking about having sex, or talking about someone else's sex life, but there is still a huge proportion of the book devoted to these topics. I have one more left, and I can put this series to bed.

This is a lot like the Stephanie Plum series... unlikely bounty hunter who is lucky more than skilled. Wild family (aunt can grandma) love triangle and more. It was an easy listen and I will try another one.

I Adore Addison Holmes!!!
Liliana Hart has done it again with another terrific book in the Addison Holmes series. I feel in love with Addison when I read the very first book, but this one honestly was the very best and well worth waiting for!
In this book, Addison is trying to decide whether to accept Nick's marriage proposal. In the meantime, she is investigating the removal of organs from living people, along with he!p from Aunt Scarlett and Rosemarie. Filled with all the usual types of situations they manage to get into.
If you love mysteries, and you like to laugh, then you definitely don't want to miss reading this one. Definitely a 5 star book for me.

My review is basically two words... Aunt Scarlet! Omg, I love her! WTF is right on the money. That's what you'll be thinking every scene with Aunt Scarlet. Read this in private because the hysterical laughing won't be pretty. The combination of Addison, Aunt Scarlet, and Rosemarie is perfect. Can't wait for the next one!

So we're now 5 books in and I guess the characters have grown on me. No mistake, Addison still can really annoy with the being mad at others for no good reason, and for the making faces when someone says or does something she doesn't approve of, but it's fairly light reading and there have been a few laughs. This particular book was very light on Matt Savage which was a pity as he and Nick remain favorites. I did get a kick out of Great Aunt Scarlett however. The visual of her wearing an ice pack after a particularly strenuous afternoon with Ugly Mo and his third leg was pretty funny. And while the actual plot of the story - the Urban legend of people waking up in ice baths after having had internal organs stolen from them, is a little far fetched, it ultimately doesn't matter at all. If you're still reading these books after 5 installments you're not reading them for the exciting plot twists. These books are all about the absurd conversations and characters that the author would have us believe inhabit Savanna Ga. I ain't gonna lie here, but if Savanna had anything even remotely resembling this kind of crew the place would be way more popular. So now after a month of needlessly causing drama about an marriage proposal everybody knew she was going to accept, Addison finally is formally engaged to Nick, Scarlet has left town after possibly murdering Ugly Mo and Matt is still around and unattached, and Rosemarie is still referred to as Big Bird with a camel toe. Good stuff.

7/10: Good solid read, something to get your teeth into.

Lesson One: Don't get waylaid/confused/misdirected by stupid reviews.
I came into this book unsure if I should read it or not. The reviews I'd read were not favourable. Sure, there were some continuity errors (haircut, car, grandfather, where she was living). Errors that could easily be fixed with a quick rewrite by the author.
But what had really put me off were the reviews that said Nick didn't feature. They led me to believe that nothing was resolved & this book was all about Aunt Scarlet.
Aunt Scarlet was funny, but she's not why I read these books. Nick is. And his absence made me question whether to bother.
In the end, I enjoyed the previous books so much (except the novella which was short and did in fact not feature Nick) that I bit the bullet.
The description mix ups didn't help, either. But I started reading it, holding onto faith that the author wouldn't let us down.

Better Than Watching TV!
I read through this in one afternoon! I just couldn’t put it down. From beginning to end my attention was held. I enjoyed seeing the main characters grow. I also enjoyed the environmental of characters that are usually just mentioned briefly. Liliana Hart doesn’t disappoint in Whiskey Tango Foxtrot. If you’ve made it this far, do yourself a favor and read this book. The relationships between the characters in the book are like no other. I really felt like I was watching crime drama on TV. Liliana knows how to breathe life into each of her characters.

Stolen organs and a marriage proposal are the main theme of the fifths book. A nasty rich guy hires Addison after he woke up without his kidney in an ice tub in a hotel room. Still pondering Nick's proposal and with the help of Rosemarie and Aunt Scarlet, Addison takes on the case and this is where her troubles start again..
Clearly a better one again! Little to no Savage and a lot of fun with Aunt Scarlet who should have been named Aunt Scary. I laughed so hard about her antics, especially her adventure with "going black". It was all pretty much hilarious and I had a lot of fun reading book five. Only one more and I hope we get to see more of the entertaining aunt.

With the beginning, and almost the end being pretty much the same, the middle of this book was ful of humor, fun, and witty banter. The mystery was not so complicated that I had to struggle to keep things in order. In fact, I found the ride getting to the who in the crime was just as entertaining as finding out the identity of the person.
While Addison, Aunt Scarlett, and Rose Marie stumble through life, they can always count on Nick, Savage, and Kate to save the day. I liked the way Aunt Scarlett put an end to this case. I think it was very personal for her.
The narration was entertaining as usual.

Fun Installment in the Addison Holmes Series
I love the Addison Holmes Series! Laugh out loud (for real, my husband isn't a fan of me reading in bed because of the laughing) funny, sexy and engaging. I can't wait for the next installment in the series.
There are a few errors and inconsistencies but not enough to make me stop reading.

Addison Holmes Whiskey
I cannot stop laughing, what an intertaining author Liliana Hart is. Whiskey Tango Foxtrot has to be funnier than the last two Whiskey books put together. Will Addison finally marry Nick and settle down to being a housewife and mother? Maybe she can do PI investigations from home on her computer to help the agency and stay safely away from dangerous assignments.

They're all crazy--and that's a good thing!
Lively and fun this troupe of relatives/private investigators is on the trail of some serious thieves who drug unsuspecting people (in more than one state) and remove saleable internal organs. Backstory is Addison's ongoing thing with the police detective whose family doesn't approve. A laugh a minute.
Narrator Connie Ventress does the best she can with all of the (too many) female characters.

Annoyed
This is the 2nd series I've read of Liliana Hart. I enjoy her books though I have a real issue when authors write series and they are not consistent. A good author knows exactly what they wrote in previous books about their characters! This book also had so many misspellings and actual wrong words that it was just so frustrating. If you like Evanovich you'll like this series and if you like the In Death series you'll enjoy Hart's JJ Graves series.

Oh, I really enjoyed this! It is the fifth book in the series and I haven’t read any of the other ones, but it didn’t matter. While they alluded to other plot lines, I never felt like I didn’t know what was going on. I will definitely be going back to the start of the series to catch up. I was laughing out loud at the story, and I did not guess the killers. Aunt Scarlett is my favourite.

Addison is harilous. From her forthright 90 yr old aunt to her the guy she is in love with. She manages to get herself into trouble unintentionally but she does get down to the dirty. Aunty is no joke to say the least. especially when she talked about her spy days and her cooch..the little blue pill. It was truly an excellent book.

This was my first book by this author so cannot compare it to her others. The characters are well drawn and the story entertaining enough but I have never experienced so many grammatical errors or typos in a single book.
I would recommend it for a quick fun read and will probably try some others by this writer. Clever dialog.

I love Addison and her crazy adventures....I am looking forward to the new book out very soon. My only complaint is that there were quite a few mistakes in this one and I have never noticed that in any of the other books in the series. Hopefully she has a better editor this time around.
I can't wait to see what Aunt Scarlet is up to next...she's a fun new addition with Addison.

People aren't always what they seem. Our heroine and her posse run into an ugly man who turns out to be so helpful. Aunt Scarlet
finds she wants to go back and the hunky homicide cop is just as hunky as Addison nears their deadline. As you can tell, this us one of a series and I Think I missed one. An enjoyable read that's almost R rated .

Hart/whiskey tango foxtrot/an Addison Holmes mystery
This series was better than the one before it. A lot of hilarious misadventure with addison, her 90yr. Old aunt , her school teacher friend Rosalie solving a mystery of criminals stealing and taking organs from people and selling them on black market.
