The Alpha's Fight

Rate this book
When you've lost your wolf, how do you get it back?

'Jane Doe' has no idea who she is or why she wakes up in a...nursing home? Full of shifters? She may not be old, but they say she is a shifter--only her wolf is MIA and she's in some kind of trouble she can't remember to boot. And there's this guy, Ryder. Something about him that makes her tingle in all the right places. If only she knew whether or not she already had a mate, why she's been stashed in shifter 'retirementville' and where the hell her animal half went.

What if your wolf picked a mate you couldn't trust?

Former pro-fighter Ryder Chase plans to get away from his no-good pack alpha, Mason, and forge a new life for himself, but there's one little problem named Jane. Ryder's wolf wants her more than he wants to breathe. Mate. Mine. Finding his mate would be good news except for the part where she knows Mason. Is Jane mixed up with his alpha's dark side and everything Ryder wants to leave behind?

Did brain trauma come with a side of nymphomania? 5 GOLD WOLVES

H-O-O-O-O-O-W-L What an epically WOLFTASTIC book and a FURTASTIC addition & continuation to the Huntsville Pack series!! Right from the cover I was swept right back into Pack Life, living, hunting, fighting, mating and everything else it all ENTAILS! Michelle sure was right when she said that this would be a book like no other! But then again, Michelle is an author like no other! The hilarity of the whole nursing home idea is ABSO-FURRY-LUTELY priceless!! The humor, the point of views from/by the wolves & the men, had me bursting out laughing more times than I could count! “the thong was a lot like dental floss in a very wrong place” HA! Add in the thrill of the fight, the chase, the mating, as well as the romance, friendships, amnesia, old biddies (not that I would say that to their faces!), the mysteries, good vs bad, Alphas, Mates, family, and well, I could go on & on since there's just so darn much of PAWESOMENESS inside, but I won't. :-) Suffice it to say that this is one SHIFTACULAR story that you will NOT be able to put down! In fact I stayed up most of the night reading it and WOLF OH WOLF, WAS IT EVER WORTH IT!! I firmly believe that Michelle Fox is really Michelle Wolf! While she is definitely Foxy, her ability to transport you into the story so that you are living & experiencing it both with & AS the human side of the characters, as well as have you doing the same as the Wolf side, proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that Michelle is indeed one uber talented author! With the attention to detail, the histories of the individual characters & the packs, the thoroughness of the building & development of the world, the characters as well as all of the storylines, it all enriches the story & the series bringing to it a level of depth that defies description, turning a great read into the experience of a lifetime, that you hope never ends and that you wish for it to all be real! How can it NOT be real?!? This is what made me fall in love with Michelle and her books. This is what keeps me coming back for more. What has me eagerly checking my emails, her website and social media waiting for word on my next journey, my new book mate (no book boyfriends for me!), the chance to catch up with my friends. In other words, waiting for the next exquisite Michelle Fox masterpiece of a treasure to transporting me back into the worlds that I love so much!

Received this book for an honest review.

Michelle Fox has another great read on her hands. This book kept the reader tied to the story until the book was done. The characters of Lia and Ryder were such an interesting mix you just couldn't help but get involved in the story.

The Huntsville crew will keep you on the edge of your seat wanted to know what's going to happen next.

The story contained wolves, vampires, a mouse and a healer. With a cast like this what more could you ask for.

The Alpha's Fight The Alpha's Fight The Alpha's Fight The Alpha's Fight Michelle Fox

Reviewed by SFF Dragon

A hunkalicious hero, a heroine who's feisty despite losing her memory, action, humour and steam. What more could you want?

Michelle Fox is one of my favourite authors, I absolutely love her books and have read quite a few of them, but the Huntsville Pack series seems to have passed me by, so I wasn't sure if I'd suffer from a lack of previous knowledge when I started reading 'The Alpha's Fight', the third book in the series, but I needn't have worried. The story grabbed me on the first page and I didn't feel like I was missing out on anything. I understood the story and was able to follow it with no effort, although along the way I did lose track of some of the many supporting characters and where they fit in. Despite being part of a series, this terrific paranormal romance can easily be read as a stand alone and I absolutely loved it.

'Jane Doe' has suffered a head injury so severe that she can't remember who, or even what, she is and waking up in retirementville really threw her for a loop, but she's quickly taken under the wing of Tillie Chase who introduces her to the madcap world of the shifters who live there. Tillie also has the eyes of a matchmaker and thinks it would be great idea to introduce 'Jane' to her grandson, the hunkalicious Ryder, in the hopes that they will hit it off, and 'Jane' is powerfully drawn to him, but with no functioning memory and an AWOL wolf, she's wary of her feelings, he might be her mate, but how is she to know and she has no idea if she already has a mate, a family or friends. But she does recognise the name Mason, and not in a good way, but she can't remember why.

Ex Pro-Fighter and werewolf Ryder Chase has retired from fighting and returned to his home town of Timber Creek, but he's so not happy about what he finds when he gets there. The situation is bad so together with Tillie, they hatch a plan to leave and start a new pack, but events overtake them before they can complete the first stage when Mason, the alpha of their current pack, shows how truly evil he is and everything takes a turn for the even worse.

There's so much more than meets the eye in this fantastic story that it's hard not to give spoilers. Part thriller, part sleuthing, all paranormal romance and packed from cover to cover with action, fights, investigating clues to who 'Jane Doe' is and why she's there, some serious allies and a hard betrayal or two, as well as some very nasty enemies that include vampires as well as shifters, terrific characters and plot, some sad bits and lots of funny bits, I'm still laughing at what passes for glitz and glamour at the Friday Date Night, and a wonderful happily ever after. I absolutely loved it and can't wait to read the next one, but I think I've missed out on some more terrific stories. An oversight I intend to rectify by getting the first two books to read before the next one comes out.

I was given a copy of 'The Alpha's Fight' by the author in exchange for an honest review, but I only give 5 stars to books I'd rescue if the house was burning down and this one definitely qualifies.

THE ALPHA’S FIGHT-AN ENTHRALLING SUSPENSEFUL ROMANTIC STORY!

This story focuses on; Ryder Chase, a heart-stopping, powerful ex-pro fighter wolf-shifter; Jane?, an audacious beauty, wolf-shifter.

What you’ll find in the story: a cast of remarkably impressive and engaging characters; spectacular story-line, picturesque and dynamic scene descriptions, superb banter, camaraderie, loaded with action, gripping suspense, horrific danger, life-threatening incidents, family love, gut-wrenching moments, abduction, vampires, skyrocketing jaw-dropping toe-curling romance, and a heart-melting conclusion leaving you wanting more.

Ryder wants out of his pack, as his Alpha Mason is vicious and his ways are dishonorable. What Ryder doesn’t know is that Mason is into heinous crimes that would shock him. His plan is to start his new pack, but his Alpha wants him dead. Jane was almost killed in a bar fight; now she is residing at a Shifter's Retirement home for her own safety, has amnesia, and her wolf has disappeared somewhere inside her. Ryder’s grandmother is at the home and has taken a strong liking to Jane. When Ryder meets Jane his wolf stands at attention recognizing his mate; Ryder tries to brush it off to no avail, and finds himself helping Jane to discover who she is, what happened to her and why.

PHENOMENAL brilliant read by a truly gifted author. Spine-chilling action and the intriguing plot keep you attached to the story from start to finish. The characters are more than praise-worthy, and come alive with fabulous dialogue and breathtaking scene descriptions. The romance sizzles with undying devotion. You can’t help connecting with the awesome characters. I relished this story, a most exhilarating read, and so enjoyed the banter between Ryder and his wolf. If you treasure shifter romance this is a fantastic book for your library. {I was gifted this book and this is my completely honest review}. In the world of shifter romance, the possibilities are endless and always fascinating. Without reservation, I recommend this book.

Waking up with no clothes of her own, wearing borrowed scrubs, no ID no memory and no wolf. She knew she was a shifter, but there was no wolf. She was told she had a serious head injury and may never remember her lost time. Jane Doe (Lia)'s only friends seemed to be an elderly, feisty wolf shifter, Tilly. Oh, yeah, she in a nursing home.

Grandma has plans for her, and her grandson, Ryder. While she isn't sure of much she is sure the hot Alpha wolf pulls to her, and it seems he has the same feelings--but neither think it is the time to investigate those feelings. There are a few things going on, Lia's situation, an abusive Alpha of Ryder and his grandmother's pack plus the big plans they are making.

Fighting their feelings isn't easy when they keep getting thrown together, danger tracts them and each has enemies to fight and problems to overcome. You won't find a dull minute in this book. Action, romance, nasty bad guys, questionable futures. When Lia does find out who she is there are still blanks but she knows someone she loves is in danger, the reason she came. Add that to mix.

There is steam, good friends from previous books in the series we get to revisit and interesting characters to keep us going. Ryder is one hot alpha and although neither he nor Lia are looking for mates, that may not matter. You'll love the characters, hate the bad guys and respect the strength and family love. A strong recommend from me for this not stop action and love.

I was provided and ARC for an honest review.

This is the third book in the Huntsville Pack series but it can definitely be read as a stand-alone. In fact, aside from a very brief mention of former characters none of the storyline really ties in with the series.
The novel starts out with our heroine waking up in a nursing home, without her memory, without any type of family connection and without knowledge of being a shifter. As the only young person in the nursing home, Jane stands out like a sore thumb. Fortunately, the one resident to befriend her happens to have a hunky, single grandson. Too bad Ryder has his own share of problems to deal with. But his grandmother still manages to convince him to help Jane. One thing leads to another, and soon Jane and Ryder are dealing with rogue Alphas, vampires and a shifter trafficking ring. And did I mention in the midst of all this Ryder and Jane realize they are mates? This was another great paranormal read from author Michelle Fox.

ARC received in exchange for an honest review.

This instalment is despite being the most violent one with some gruesome scene the one with the sweetest romance as well.
Ryder is an alpha deep down and a good one but he didn't try to follow in his grandfather footstep until he discovered how bad the pack had become after he left.....now he wants to create a fresh new one with rule and less violence. Metting a female not knowing who she is isn't inhis plans...being attracted to her even less since he is trying to avoid being being killed by his future past alpha Mason. However he can't resist Jane plea for help, not that his grandmother would allow it.

There is a lot of violence but also tender moment and lot of humour thanks to Tillie so while it's about a new pack we still hear about Cal, Chloe and Jackson and we get attached pretty quickly to these new chracters.

I enjoyed this story with some great characters and an unusual storyline. There were a few places the author could have strengthened to make for a smoother read, but I loved the steady pace, and the gradual reveals that added some nice twists to the plot.

The Alpha's Fight
Huntsville Pack Book 3
by Michelle Fox
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I received this ARC of this book to read and give my opinion in a honest review.

WOW Double WOW!! This storyline is SPECTACULAR!! I was so engaged in reading this great story I didn't want to eat dinner or go to sleep it's just that Fantastic!! The storyline is everything you expect in a Huntsville Pack story this book 3 and I absolutely enjoyed reading this awesome addition to this SPECTACULAR series. The story is so fantastic that I read it in one sitting I just couldn't put it down, it captured my attention from the first page to the last. It's full of mysteries, lots of action, it's compelling and very emotional you may need a few Kleenex tissues because it's hard to have a dry eye while I was reading part of the story. The scenes description are scorching hot, sensual, beautiful and loving. The characters are strong, sexy, gorgeous and dreamy. The dialogue is sexy, full of compassion and mind-blowing. Michelle has gives us so much entertainment with lots of delights when reading this book and the series. Book 3 is a standalone but apart of a series. If you have read books 1 &2 then you will enjoy visiting the characters of the previous books but remember it's not necessary to read them in order but doing so you will get more background on the series.

Lia Fleurgriffe is a wolf shifter who loses her wolf and her memory and wakes up as Jane Doe’ in a nursing home full of wolf shifters. She has no idea how she got here or what’s happening to her. She meets Tillie one the residents at the nursing home. After inviting Jane Doe ( Lia) to sit and eat with her, Tillie informs Jane about the Sheriff being her to the nursing home the night before and that she had no ID. Then Tillie tells Jane about a highlight of the nursing home is their dance and Jane should attend. Jane doesn't want to go but she doesn't want to be alone. At the dance Jane meets Tillie's grandson Ryder. Their attraction is instant, but they both feel they have no time for this.

Ryder Chase is a champion MMA wolf shifter until the league retired him because he was unbeatable. When he had returned home he found that his Alpha had lied to him about his grandmother. Because he was a corrupted and evil Alpha. So Ryder and his grandmother decide to start a new pack. After buying the land he perdition the council for the right to start his own pack. But on his way to tell his grandmother the news, Ryder is jumped by a shifter whom he grew up with and he thought was a friend but his Alpha wants him dead, so he meets with potential allies. At the nursing home he meets Jane where his grandma is, he recognizes her as his mate. But he isn’t sure he can trust her when she somehow knows Mason (his Alpha). But he agrees to help her.

This is a Fantastic Read. If you are looking for a Spectacular paranormal book then you need to read this book and the entire series. You can't miss this awesome book or series! This is also a magnificent book to add to your TBR list. I'm felt so good about this series that I'm excited and anxious to read the next book this series. I highly recommend this book and series.

If you believe in the world of paranormal romance, the possibilities are endless and fascinating!

Let's just jump in, shall we?

There were a few things I liked, loved actually, about this story. The first is that Ryder and Jane/Lia's relationship begins as friendship. They meet at the nursing home through Ryder's grandmother, Tillie. There were little things--tingles, breathlessness, awareness--that passed between them that made me hoping they would eventually make the move from friends to lovers. They did but it was a long, slow process.

I think if this were written in a style I'm more familiar with in the paranormal genre--meet, mate, work through issues later--the drawn out pace would've irritated the crap out of me. But there were existing problems that had to be dealt with first, issues that couldn't be ignored by the characters or by me. That's the second thing I enjoyed. Ms. Fox took the long way for every problem this couple faced. Jane/Lia's amnesia. Ryder's murderous Alpha. Jane/Lia's missing sister, Adele, which she eventually figures out is why she's in Tennessee. Ryder's desire to form his own pack and the opposition he faced. And while these things may not seem connected, they were. Ms. Fox made the dots and connected them each with precision and thoroughness this reader is ever so grateful for.

There is one more thing I want to point out about this story. It deals with addiction (drug and fang) and slavery. The first I hadn't heard unheard of. Paranormal characters are often shown as nearly invincible. They absorb and burn through drugs and alcohol quickly because of their incredibly fast metabolisms, but in this story drugs are actually created that can, and do, get shifters high. They have the same during effect as regular drugs do on humans and the same end effect: addiction. This is the reality Adele lived with, why she ran from home, why she went to Tennessee in the first place. It's there the slavery was introduced.

I've read about vampire slaves, humans who willingly let vampires feed/bleed them. But in this story, the slaves sold to the vampires are shifters addicted to drugs, shifters who wouldn't be missed if they disappeared. These shifters traded one addiction for another, drugs for fangs.

I know it's fiction. I know that. I tried to hold onto that fact when I read through that part of the story but it was so hard. Reading what happened to the slaves, what Adele went through, brought me to tears. Her recovery wasn't easy and my heart broke when the man who fed from her was forced to leave her. He wasn't a bad man. He had a part to play and he played it well though his intention was never to treat Adele like the other slaves were treated. And when he renounced his hold on Adele, when he away, his parting words were devastating: "The living are never ours to keep" (Kindle, Loc2686).

I can only hope he'll be back, maybe to rekindle whatever was between him and Adele? It'd be awesome to see her get a happy ending after the hell she'd been through.

I haven't read the other books in this series. This reads as a wonderful standalone. It's action-packed, suspenseful, mysterious. Problems are handled. Goals are met. Lives saved. Memories restored. Love created. A terrific story I enjoyed and hope others do too.

This story was full of intense situations where the protagonist had to deal with a reality that were affecting more than themselves. The story was different with some intense scenes that kept me reading because I wanted to know. Love how the author builds the suspense and work with the different characters to keep us interested until the end. In this book our protagonist woke up in a shifter’s nursing home without memory of who she was. She had been badly hurt and didn’t remember anything. She had been told she was a shifter but there was no trace of her animal. Tullie, one of the retirement elderly, befriend her and wanted her to meet Ryder Chase, her grandson. Ryder was a former professional fighter now with a new agenda to fight for. When he met the woman known as Jane in the nursing home, there was something there that both of them felt. Jane was struck by her attraction to Ryder but he didn’t want to trust. What he had on mind was too important. He was going to have his own pack and had no time for an amnestic woman who may endanger his plans. But plans changed when the attraction was more than he can bear. They were to be involved in a ride for their lives where everybody was in danger and their beliefs were tested. This story had a lot of action, twists and suspense that kept interested all the time. The intrigue, the detailed scenes and the interesting characters made a very good story, easy to read with a fast pace. I didn’t expect the turns at the end and I was very pleased with the events and how the author continually moved the action maintaining the suspense. Liked the way the author developed the plot and worked with different characters’ feelings, especially Ryder’s and Talon’s from The Alpha’s Justice. This characters are so sexy and special. Love these stories.

The Alpha's Fight is book 3 in Michelle Fox's Huntsville Pack series.
It is a stand alone novel with no cliffhanger and tcan be read out of order, but some characters will cross over with the previous stories.

'Jane Doe' wakes up and finds herself in a nursing home full of shifters. Why is she there? Who is she? Why can't she remember anything? And why does Ryder, a perfect stranger, burrow under her skin like he belongs there?

Ryder Chase has a plan. Starting his own pack and leaving his so called alpha behind, but Mason has other plans and wishes him dead before he'll let Ryder embarrass him like that. Then there's the other problem, Jane. Her appearance is a little too convenient for him to ignore as well as the fact that she knows Mason. Is she there to set him up, he needs to ignore his attraction in order to uncover the truth.

The Alpha's Fight is my first foray into the Huntsville wolves and I have enjoyed getting to know the characters and I'm sure I will enjoy getting to know more as I read the rest of the series.

I really enjoyed the setting, both the main and periphery characters in this instalment and how they interacted together. Jane Doe, whilst suffering amnesia, still seemed very strong, straight forward, accommodating and independent which was great and I loved her trying to rationalise her reaction to Ryder.

It was also interesting to see this Fox's interpretation of what would happen inside a pack with a power hungry selfish alpha. It is a different dynamic and perspective then what I have previously read but no less important when reading about pack life.

The violence in this story is surprisingly detailed in its descriptions in which I wasn't quite prepared for, but there is only a small amount of it when you consider the whole book.

Im looking forward to reading some more of the Huntsville Pack.

waking up in a nursing home not knowing who you are, what happened, how you got there, can do strange things with you. same goes for the fact you keep screaming about shifters while you turn out to be one yourself.
luckily for our "jane doe" Tillie takes her under her wing and even manages to set up a blind date with her grandson that is coming to visit her in a few days.
once "jane" and the grandson, Ryder, meet each other it's like everything is speeding up. little things start triggering her memory and with ryder's help she gets closer to finding out who she is, why she ended up in the nursing hom. that along the way ryder stirs a lot of feelings inside of her is a nice bonus.
at first ryder is reluctant to step up but when his grandmother trusts and care fore someone, she goes the whole nine yards for them. quite a few alarm-bells go off when he meets "jane" and hears her story. when he starts connecting lines, things don't look so good. his own agenda is compromised as well and sorting out that mess should be his priority but as days pass and jane's story gets more twists into it then a bowl of spaghetti. as more facts get to the surface and they all get a more clear look on it all one would wish your memory stayed lost!

really liked how this story was build up, the characters were developed and those that needed liking were liked, those that needed hating were hated with a vengeance. there was a nice pace to the story, never had the feeling parts were just added as filler. everything made sense.
though this is book 3 in the series, you can read it on it's own, enough is told to make links with events and characters from the previous .

Action packed sitting on the edge of your seat to see how it all winds up.

If you haven't dived into the Huntsville pack, you need too. But if this is your first one, you will get more from knowing the existing cast and crew. But it is also great as a stand alone.... But catching up on our other pack mates is always awesome.

Jane Doe- AKA LIA finds herself locked up tight in a nursing home for the elderly shifters of the area, however she has no iota of a clue as to how, what when or whom she is; was, did,or done nothing even the name Jane feels wrong, it all feels so wrong. But she can't even pull up her favorite color let alone her name. The only thing that feels right is RYDER.... but wait is she even single?

Ryder a MMA pack league fighter champion retired because he won to much to easy... boring they say. Ryder finds himself back home only to find his pack in shambles and his grandma thrown away in a nursing home. His Alpha wants him DEAD, and all he wants is to start his own pack and live the life his grandparents taught him to live. But he will have to do some serious survival fighting with all the deck stacked against him... The problem seem to non stop, and then he sees Lia- or Jane hell he doesn't care who she is as long as she is his! As they navigate the minefield of troubles they fall hard for the other, but will they live long enough to seal the deal?

Ryder and Lia come take a wild ride with them and the huntsville pack. Can the pack be rejuvenated? Do they even want to try?

I got this as an ARC book for a honest review so here it is.
I loved this book.
What happens when a shifter is hurt so bad that they don't remember who they are or that they have another half. Why you put them in the nursing home wait what. Poor Jane is hurt so bad she doesn't remember who she is or what she is. So for her safety and the shifting community safety they put her in the old folks home so she can heal and not get into anymore trouble. Ryder is a wolf who just left the MMA circuit and is currently trying to become alpha of his own pack. When he goes to the old folks home to check in with his grandmother he meets Jane. Ryders's wolf immediately sits up and takes notice. Only problem well Jane Doe doesn't now who she is and she doesn't have her wolf. As this myself begins to unfold Ryder learns she may have ties to his alpha and that's trouble he doesn't need or doesn't want at least that what he keeps telling his wolf. As these two begin to try to figure out what happened the night she was hurt they get pulled into something that is way worse than anyone knows. Can these two find out what's going on before they get killed? Can Jane find her memories and save herself and the person who brought her here in the first place? Can Ryder break from his ruthless alpha and start his own pack? Or will they end up just another dead body in a field somewhere? Hmm I could tell you all the answers but I'm not gonna lol get your copy and find out. I love this series!!

Once again Michelle Fox has out down herself with a great shifter read. This is the third book in the Huntsville Pack series and it was OH SO WORTH the wait.
This book is so different and so hard to write a review about because I do not want to give away any of the story line at all.

Let me start out by staying I happen to believe that shifters are real so I can image what happening in this book and how horrible it would be. "Jane" wakes up in this hospital like setting not knowing who she is or where she is. She has been hurt and has no idea where or why. Well "Jane is Jane Doe" and where was a bar and how well no one knows. She is in an old folks home but they like to call it retirement community for...shifters. Only problem is Jane has lost her wolf. Jane meets Tillie and everything is set in motion, as it should be.

Tillie's grandson comes by to visit her but not before he has set in motion plans to start his own pack. Something that will not go over well with the existing pack that he is in and the pack that his grandfather was Alpha of. Ryder.... that name just brings up many naughty thoughts and every one of them would be true.

Like I said at the beginning of my review Michelle Fox OUT DID herself in this book. There is mystery and of course with any good shifter book we have the rough and tumble fighting and loving. This book is no different but better. I highly recommend it!

This was a very well-written story that had me totally intrigued; the storyline had so much to offer it was a pleasure to read and kept my interest throughout. Lia has suffered a head trauma resulting in both memory loss and the loss of her wolf. Without a pack to claim her, Crescent Pines is the alternative to jail. It is while she is there that she meets Tillie and her grandson Ryder after being coerced into a date night. Lia is attracted to Ryder but doesn’t know if she already has a mate. Lia is trouble; Ryder can feel it and he isn’t looking to add to his list of problems, even though their scents mix well and his wolf is showing an interest. Ryder has retired from his fighting career at the request of the Pack Council, which is how he has ended up in Timber Creek, but he wants to start a new pack. Mason, his Alpha, refuses to let that happen and after a series of beatings and immobilising Ryder’s strength, issues him an Alpha’s challenge. Lia discovers that Mason is the reason her twin sister, Adele, is missing. Mason has built up a shifter trafficking ring, targeting addicts and people no one would miss, selling them off to vampires. Tracking down Adele was now their top priority, but they do not envisage what this leads them to or the consequences that follow. The story has a lot of twists and turns and I would certainly have no hesitation in recommending it. I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

A five star rating is definitely no hard ship, deserves more. Michelle Fox has such a way with words, they flow so easily and the story so interesting that its extremely hard to put down. Anxiety and confusion is how the story starts, which leads us into meeting strangers realising you don't know who you are or what's happen to cause you to be this way, "Jane Doe". No clothes, no Purse, no memory. Aaaaaarrrrroooo no WOLF. Making new friends and having to make decisions that affect your life.
Ryder Chase... Ex Title Fighter. Dominate Alpha, secure in who he is, not afraid to fight for what's his and definitely what he feels is right, for himself for family and eventually for love.
Crescent Pines Retirementville what a revelation, Tilly is there and so is Jane. Who knew shifters would end up in such a place.
Mason Alpha of the pac and rotten to the core...
A truly adventure filled book that makes you feel for "Jane", laugh at what happens, feel the lust, "Ryder", fight against abuse, "Mason", look for what's missing, find a mate, fight to win. Such a crazy mix of emotions.
I would recommend to all readers that love shifter stories, that appreciate a really well written series that love to be taken on a journey of the mind. The development of the all the different characters is a wonder, and a joy it makes the story so easy to read. It comes to life.
Thank You Michelle Fox !!!! It's going to be hard waiting for the next book.

Author Michelle Foxs' books got me hooked on shifters and she never fails to deliver. I just wish I could give this story more than 5 stars. I loved revisiting the characters in Huntsville like Talon, Gretchen and the awful Mason.

Jane Doe (Lia) wakes up not remembering a thing, what is she doing in a Nursing Home full of old shifters? What brought her to these circumstances, she can't even remember how she got the bump on her head, or that she is a shifter herself. She can't trust anyone because she knows no one, well maybe that sweet old lady that befriended her right away, little does she suspect that Tillie has plans for her.

Ryder has retired from the fighting circuit and is ready to start his own pack, get away from his Alpha Mason and get his Grandma Tillie out of that nursing home. Problem is Mason is not making it easy for him, as a matter of fact, he can't even hide from his goons. Now his grandma Tillie is playing match maker again, only this time she may have gotten it right. He doesn't have time for that now with trying to fight off Mason's goons, problem is just seeing Jane Doe is very hard on his resolve.

Great story line and lots of action revolves around Huntsville right now, and the hunt is on for a missing girl that may just be the end of the evil goings on there. Let's not forget the passion, Ryder may just be the solution to Jane Doe's problems.

Great book, action, mystery, steamy love and well developed characters. This is a awesome story, you will enjoy every page! I never know how much or how little to say, it is full of the details you need to roll around in to get into the characters, but dont tell you how may shades of brown are on every tree. You see and feel your characters and the town, good supporting characters.
Ryder has been gone running the fighting circut, until he won and the council ask him to retire. Now he is home and finding is pack and his alpha Mason are bad news!
Tillie, an grandma Wolf, put in the home because of the new pack Alpha didn't like that she could get the pack to question him, nobody questioned Mason, not even if her husband had been Alpha before he died. Now Tillie is working with her grandson, Ryder, they are trying to start there own pack. However there is so much going on in Huntsville, besides Mason, or is it all Mason. Now Grandma Tillie has introduced Jane? but things don't add up, why is Jane here and why is she afraid of Mason. As pieces slowly come together Jane learns her name is Lia, and she is trying to save her sister. However damaged she is, her Wolf gone, her past gone, she still feels she is safe with Ryder.

Amnesia, Rogue Alpha, Kick-Ass Grandma, mystery, danger, humor and sparks ignite into a tantalizing, must-read story!!

I’ve not read books #1&2 in this series – I intend to remedy that soon. It is not necessary for the story.

Jane Doe (who we later learn is Lia) wakes in a shifter nursing home. Not knowing who she is, must take it on faith from others that she is a shifter – but where is her wolf? Ryder is coming out of “forced” retirement from MMA fighting because it was “too boring” when he won all the time. Ryder’s kick-ass grandmother Tillie has been parked in the nursing home as she was mate of the previous Alpha, and the current Alpha needs to remove her influence from the pack.

When Jane and Ryder meet sparks fly – but the only thing Jane remembers is the name “Mason” who is the current Alpha – and not a good one. Ryder cannot get involved with someone close to Mason. Jane does not know who she is or where she is from, and while attracted to Ryder – does she have a mate waiting for her?

To say much more would reveal “spoilers” for the story. Just make sure you have the time, because once you pick this book up, you will not be able to put it down until you finish!
