In the second book of the Diary of a Wimpy Ender Dragon we see Black and Millie wander into the Nether and meet with a scary Nether Dragon. Josh, the Nether Dragon, however, turns to be a good and helpful friend, who helps them to find Tom.
Tom had been held prisoner in the dark Nether Fortress by the evil Pigmen. The three friends have a hard time finding Tom and on the way to the Fortress has to fight against different enemies.
When they save Tom and escape the Fortress, they are sad to say goodbye to their new friend, Josh. Back in the Overword they have time to relax and get to know each other better. Black even builds a house-cave for himself. However, just when they are happy in their homes, they are attacked by Zombies.
