The miracle that is Israel is a story too little told in our day. Gary Frazier and Jim Fletcher wisely subtitle their work “The Shocking, Untold Story of God’s Love for His People.” Hatred of Israel is on the upswing yet again, and the saddest part of it is that many Christians fail to see the significance and rank evilness of it.

The book is an easy read and is appropriate for anyone. It begins with three chapters that review Israel’s history in the Old Testament. It is a satisfactory overview.

Part Two is four chapters that present the information that is most likely to be unknown to readers. Particularly, chapters 6 and 7 tell the incredible story of modern Israel. The Lord has worked in several miraculous and thrilling instances and that story is told here. It is my favorite part of the book.

The last Part is three chapters on the future. Here prophecy involving Israel is discussed. It is handled from a premillennial perspective. It was good, but occasionally saw something in the Biblical text that was perhaps at best a guess.

Some of the prophecies used from the Old Testament seemed a stretch too. Still, if this volume can help stem the tide among Christians against Israel, it will be a blessing. Those with genuine questions will find some answers as well.
I received this book free from the publisher. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own. I am disclosing this in accordance with the Federal Trade Commission’s 16 CFR, Part 255.

“Who hath heard such a thing? Who hath seen such things? Shall the earth be made to bring forth in one day? or shall a nation be born at once? For as soon as Zion travailed, she brought forth her children.”
Isaiah 66:8

Don’t we all know that the State of Israel was proclaimed on 14 May 1948? How can someone read this prophecy and not believe it? Israel was born at once. This prophecy came to pass. And the truth is that this is only one of many prophecies that have been fulfilled. In short, the very existence of Israel is a miracle. The existence of Israel proves that God exists and that He protects His people, and we should never forget it.

Jesus, in Luke 21, told us to look at the fig tree.

“29 He told them this parable: “Look at the fig tree and all the trees. 30 When they sprout leaves, you can see for yourselves and know that summer is near. 31
Even so, when you see these things happening, you know that the kingdom of God is near.”
Luke 21:29-31

This book helps us look at Israel, the fig tree. Let’s say that the book lends us glasses.

This is a concise review of the miraculous history of Israel. The authors point out how God has chosen Israel as the vehicle to bring salvation (through the Messiah) to the world. A brief history of Israel is presented with particular emphasis for the miraculous rebirth of Israel in 1948. It is an excellent overview for the person desiring a succinct outline of history regarding Israel and how God has kept His promises to Israel. Much more history will be made in the upcoming years, and the book concludes by looking into Israel’s future based on Bible prophesy.

Light reading for the student of scripture

Wish the book were more like the introduction. The cursory fly thru of the miracles God performed for the Israelites in scripture will leave true Bible students flat and others bewildered as to what the author was talking about.

Wow! Once I really got into it, I could not put this book down. I have been searching for a book like this for awhile now - one that explains the history of Israel up until modern times. It is so exciting to see Biblical prophecies being fulfilled in Israel. Jesus is coming soon!!

Putting God's miracles together

Excellent review of God's faithfulness and miraculous hand on history. How could a nation survive all that the Jews survived without the hand of God. It also gives a good understanding of the future prophecy concerning the Jews and all people.

Miracle of Israel, written by Gary Frazier and Jim Fletcher, is a great book about our Covenant Keeping God and the nation of Israel. In order to comprehend God's faithfulness to us, as believers, we must understand His faithfulness to Israel. This book includes thought-provoking questions, fascinating facts, and explanations of prophecies fulfilled. It should spur the reader to a deeper understanding and love for Israel and for our Father.

History & the Hand of God -

Over three centuries ago Blaise Pascal, the great French mathematician, writer, and Christian philosopher was asked by King Louis XIV of France to provide evidence for God. His answer?

“Why the Jews, Your Majesty, the Jews!”

Today, 300 years later, not only do the Jewish people still exist but they once again have a flourishing national presence in the land which YHWH promised to their fathers as recorded in the pages of the Bible.

To explain just how profoundly important these events are to our generation, authors Gary Frazier and Jim Fletcher take you on a Biblical adventure that explores one of the greatest Biblical miracles of our day. That is, The Miracle of Israel.

Who hath heard such a thing? who hath seen such things? Shall the earth be made to bring forth in one day? or shall a nation be born at once? for as soon as Zion travailed, she brought forth her children. Isaiah 66:8

You see The Miracle of Israel is important, because it shows YHWH, the living God of the Bible, at work in human history. As Mr. Frazier succinctly puts it:

“The Creator God had a plan from the very beginning, and if we look for His hand in world history, both past and present, we can be certain of His hand in the future.”

If you ever had doubts about the hand of God in history then I’d encourage you to read, The Miracle of Israel: The Shocking, Untold Story of God’s Love For His People. This book will strengthen your faith in the Bible’s prophetic record, but just as importantly it will educate you as to the importance of YHWH’s people in His redemptive plan for mankind.

The Miracle of Israel is divided into 10 thrilling and easy to read chapters:

• Chapter 1 takes you back to eternal covenantal promise made to Abraham and his seed.
Chapters 2-4 takes you up to the time of Yeshua, that promised “seed” through which all nations of the earth are blessed.
• Chapters 5-7 takes you to the present and the significance of Israel to our generation.
• The final chapters of this book explain “God’s Endgame, The Millennial Kingdom and Glory”.

* * *

There is one minor point that I would like to take respectful issue. To me, it in no way takes away from the wonderful message of the book but for accuracy’s sake I think it should be mentioned.

In Appendix VI the authors explain The Time of Israel’s Judgement as it relates to the “terminal generation”. In this appendix the authors make the following statement:

“The Jews used a lunar calendar of 30 days per month or 360 days per year.”

This statement is incorrect. The Biblical calendar which the Jewish people have kept since the Exodus is lunar/solar and based upon a 365.24 day year and a 29.53 day lunar cycle. At the Exodus YHWH fixed the lunar cycle relative to the solar year by beginning the Biblical calendar in the month of Abib. This de facto intercalation synchronized the two cycles so that Biblical months would not wander through the seasons like the lunar calendar of Islam today.

Here are two reasonable ways to prove that the Biblical calendar is lunar/solar.

• Yeshua fulfilled the Biblical feast days of Passover, Unleavened Bread and Firstfruits according to a calendar which was based upon this Biblically mandated lunar/solar reckoning of time. All we have to do is wind back YHWH’ heavenly Rolex and it is evident that Yeshua came “in the fullness of time”. Time based upon a 365.24 day year and a 29.53 day lunar month.
• Ezekiel 1-4 provides evidence for a 13th or intercalated month. It is those very 430 days Ezekiel was commanded to lie on his side that provides another proof the 2nd temple era kept a calendar which was based upon a 365.24 day year and 29.53 day lunar month.

* * *

In summary, my disagreements regarding the authors’ reckoning of Biblical time notwithstanding, I found The Miracle of Israel to be a wonderful testimony to YHWH’s hand in history. The book strengthened my faith and really did a wonderful job of showing just how important the Jewish people and the nation of Israel are in YHHW’s redemptive plan for mankind, in the past, present, and future.

Do you believe in miracles? If you want to see a miracle, there is no greater miracle than God’s love for his chosen people and the preservation of them over the millennia. In the book Miracle of Israel, Gary Frazier and Jim Fletcher examine the example of Israel and how God demonstrates his faithfulness in the story of Israel, both past and present.

This book traces the history of the Jewish people. It begins all the way back with Abraham and God’s promises to Abraham, weaves through the Judges and Kings, and discusses the prophets as a look at Israel past. For Israel’s present, Frazier and Fletcher, looks at the time of Jesus, the destruction of the temple, Zionism and Israel’s waiting for a return to the land, and the rebirth of the modern State of Israel. Along the way, the authors present many modern miracles as evidences of God’s special care of Israel. The end of the book turns to a view of Biblical promises of the future. In this, we learn more about “God’s endgame,” the promised millennial kingdom and future glory. The authors also include several appendices, including prophecies fulfilled at the first coming of Christ, fulfillment of Biblical prophecies, understanding the Balfour Declaration, and the time of Israel’s judgment.

This book has been a welcome addition to my current reading. As a dispensationalist, I share what most dispensationalists have in common, a love for both the people and the country of Israel. I heard a speaker recently say that American dispensationalists would like to think of Israel as the 51st state of the United States, and I couldn’t agree more to the love of Israel that we all share. The authors have done a great job of capturing evidence of God’s love for Israel and for the fact that Israel has a part in God’s plan for the future. If you’re unsettled on the question of whether or not Israel is still loved by and a part of God’s plan, this is a great book to read to help you find the evidence you need for the miracle of God’s love and faithfulness toward his people.

What can I say about a book that brings you to tears at the magnitude of God's wondrous love for his people Miracle of Israel: The Shocking, Untold Story of God’s Love for His People by Gary Frazier & Jim Fletcher starts out with an amazing story of how God saved the Israel army today , not just in Bible past. A must read as one needs to know that God does indeed still do miracles. This is the history of he Jews, much we already know but then there are so many modern uplifting stories that we probably have over looked. How often do e follow Israel's wars. We should to be amazed at our God. The author points all the Glory to God. This is an out standing book that pastors will want to read. It opens your eyes to understanding this small country better. The history of the Bible which we have read a million times come alive! I encourage you to read this book as it is not too long so you will not be board- in fact you will want it to continue.

I am not sure I agree with all the doctrine but again I am not an expert on this subject, I will do a little more studying,

Miracle of Israel: The Shocking, Untold Story of God’s Love for His People by Gary Frazier and Jim Fletcher traces the history of Israel, outlining prophesies and God’s promises. The book is well-researched, and it is a very good historical and theology resource. The chapters that discussed Abraham and his descendents reminded me of a Biblical commentary, and the chapters that focused on more recent events in history acted as essential history lessons. The book is 187 pages long, and the authors make very good use of each page, packing them with useful information and thoughtful analysis. Additionally, the appendixes were very helpful, especially Appendix 1, which lists prophecies fulfilled at the First Coming of Christ. This book would be a good read for anyone.

An interesting book about the ancient and recent history of Israel. At times, the writing is somewhat simplistic and doesn't flow all that well, but it was worth the read and does a decent job of pulling together some astounding facts about Israel and how God continues to provide for His "chosen people".

Pretty good book on Israel in prophecy, even in the present-day. I learned quite a bit.
