Rate this book
Sometimes, it doesn't take much for one person to be pushed over the edge. For Ashantee, she endured quite a bit at a young age but the death of her mother pushed her over. At the age of sixteen, she became cold and heartless. Take this journey through Ashantee's most trying years and learn how she is able to keep pushing forward, even when she doesn't want too. Some may love her, while others could consider her straight up Ruthless!

I really enjoyed this book. It was an easy read! Shani been through so much as such a young age….losing her dad, mom, and grandma. She had to be strong to move forward! It was meant for her to have her child so that she would have someone who loved her and that she loves. I’m glad she had her best friend Jess and her mom in her corner because she literally didn’t have anyone else.

Honestly, I don’t really consider what she did as being ruthless. She was protecting her child and making sure no one took her from her. Her boyfriend mom was wrong in every way and you would think she would try to be there for her only child but she was too bitter. The aunt was evil and I don’t feel sorry for her nor her mom ex.

I loved the ending….Shani deserved to be happy!

Looking forward to reading more from this author as well.

Perfect Standalone

This was such a different storyline from what I am used to Leondra writing but I loved it none the less. In a world full of series this standalone was a breath of fresh air. Shani went through so much in her young life but was able to pull through with the help of her best friend Jess and Jess' mom. This book has the perfect amount of drama and twists and turns.
